Corporate Parnterships Manager
We are seeking a self-motivated and driven Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead on growing and stewarding First Give’s portfolio of high-value funders. This role will focus on developing corporate partnerships and will also support our Campaign Board and major donor activity.

The Organisation
Together We Learn is a charity registered in England and Wales, working in close partnership with Together We Learn Ethiopia, a registered NGO in Ethiopia. Operating as two distinct legal entities, the organisations work as sister charities with a shared mission and vision: to enable disadvantaged children to access high-quality education.
While Together We Learn in the UK leads fundraising, governance and international engagement, Together We Learn Ethiopia is responsible for implementing and delivering programmes on the ground.
Our approach focuses on improving both access to education and the quality of education systems, while supporting the wider wellbeing of students, families and communities. We work in partnership with state education systems to deliver sustainable, long-term impact.
By addressing educational needs both in and beyond the classroom, Together We Learn aims to create lasting change for children and communities across Ethiopia.
The Role
As CEO, you will lead the UK team of Together We Learn and work in close partnership with the Ethiopian team, providing guidance and support to enable them to deliver programmes to a high standard. You will provide overall leadership for the charity, with responsibility for fundraising and stakeholder engagement, oversight of programmes, and management of finance and operations.
The annual turnover of Together We Learn is £350,000, and you will be responsible for line managing two staff in the UK and occasional interns, as well as supporting our Ethiopian partner, who has 15 programme and 8 support staff working across two regional offices: Gondar in the Amhara region and Addis Ababa in the Oromia region. The charity is managed by an experienced board of 5 trustees who meet quarterly and provide ad hoc support in their professional areas of expertise.
The charity is in a stable position with funds secured for the current year and a fundraising plan in place for the year ahead. You will have a detailed handover to enable you to carry out the varied functions required by the role and will be supported in these by the Programmes Manager and Sponsorship Coordinator. You will report to the board on a quarterly basis.
Our current three-year strategy focuses on building the capacity of our Ethiopian partner so that they can take a greater role in leading the organisation. This runs through our approach in all aspects of our work, and specific targets have been identified to help us achieve this goal over the strategic period. You will have the opportunity to advance our strategy using your unique skills.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Line manage the Programmes Manager, Sponsorship Coordinator and interns.

Deliver High Quality Programmes

Person Specification
This role requires someone with excellent time management and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have experience managing teams in a development or small charity environment, as well as significant experience managing finance systems, fundraising and having oversight of multiple programmes.
Essential Experience & Competencies

Job Profile
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead on the recruitment, retention, and value growth of Afghanaid’s supporter base by directing and implementing communications, fundraising and engagement strategies, aligned with broader organisation goals. You will provide strategic and supervisory oversight of fundraising income from individual giving, regular giving, major donors, trusts and foundations, corporates, community and student fundraising and events, managing annual fundraising appeals and driving organisational unrestricted income growth.
You will lead on communications for Afghanaid, overseeing print, digital, and paid marketing activities and the growth of communications channels. You will execute Afghanaid’s organisational brand strategy which ensures the integrity of the brand and maximises awareness. You will manage all public relations including crisis communications, as well as the growth of strategic media placements and high profile relationships. You will drive the success of organisational impact storytelling and communications for both internal and external stakeholders. As a member of the executive department, you will collaborate and synergise with other departments to promote organisational success.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
You will be an experienced and dynamic communicator with significant demonstrable experience in fundraising and/or communications at a senior level, coupled with an awareness and up to date knowledge and experience of the tools that would maximise the success of our communications and fundraising activities. In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders. Education/ Training

I. JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Right To Play UK, the Head of Individual Giving will be responsible for leading on community, mid and major donor fundraising and philanthropy for Right To Play UK. The incumbent will deliver a successful strategy for Right To Play UK’s work in this area, leading on developing and coordinating fundraising campaigns, building, and developing our portfolio of major donors, developing a philanthropy pipeline and facilitating bespoke events with the aim of generating substantial income in line with the organisation’s budgetary objectives.
II. RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Individual Giving campaigns and strategy (20% time):
- Collaborate on development and implementation of UK individual giving strategy, working closely with the UK leadership team and international colleagues.
- Develop, adapt and coordinate UK fundraising campaigns for mid and major donors, work closely with the Head of Communications and Engagement and UK team.
- Project manage delivery of campaigns by the RTP UK staff team, working across audiences.
- Analyse and report on audience, results and trends and use this to inform future plans.
- Manage the Individual Giving Officer and provide guidance on their development of key projects.
2.Major Giving and Philanthropy (50% time):
- Lead on developing, implementing and reporting on Right To Play’s individual giving strategy in the UK, in alignment with Right To Play’s global strategic plan, in collaboration with the Head of Partnerships and Executive Director.
- Directly manage a range of major donor and philanthropic relationships, as well as oversight of relationship management by colleagues and the Partnerships team.
- Lead on researching, identifying, developing, and supporting new major donor funding opportunities with the aim of generating substantial income from this fundraising source in line with the organization’s budgetary objectives.
- Lead on ongoing communications strategy for our mid and major donor support base, building support and ensuring consistency across a range of constituent groups.
3. Major donor events development (15%):
- Lead on design and development of bespoke major donor events (e.g. 30 person dinner), working closely with service providers, donors and the RTP UK team.
- Lead on stewardship of events-focused audiences, building a long-term, diversified support base.
4. Contribute and support global and UK team (10%):
- Contribute to global projects and strategies through the global fundraising team.
- Contribute to the development of global strategic initiatives, including developing major donor relationships in other RTP supporter countries.
- Support the work of the wider Right To Play UK team, focussing on shared team goals.
5. Performs other duties as assigned. (5%)
- Undertake any other activities reasonably requested by the Executive Director.
III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Must have):
(A) EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION:
- Undergraduate degree from a relevant university program or equivalent work experience
(B) EXPERIENCE:
- 5-year’s relevant experience including working within a senior fundraising role, working on fundraising strategy and successful campaigns.
- Experience in managing relationships with a range of major donors.
- Experience developing and securing high value relationships and gifts.
- Experience developing/approving reports and proposals for major donors and/or tailoring to a UK audience.
- Experience representing an organisation with senior stakeholders.

This role is vital to driving sustainable income growth and deepening the Charity’s reach within the philanthropic community.
Prospect Identification and Research
- Conduct thorough research to identify and profile potential high-value donors, trusts, and foundations aligned with the charity’s mission and appeal goals.
- Use a range of tools, databases, and resources to gather information on prospects, including their giving capacity, interests, and philanthropic history.
- Prioritise prospects based on their potential value, affinity, and likelihood to engage with the charity.
Intelligence Gathering and Analysis
- Analyse research findings to produce detailed and actionable prospect profiles for use by the Philanthropy Team.
- Provide insights into donor motivations and interests to support personalised cultivation strategies.
- Monitor trends in philanthropy and the wider funding landscape to identify emerging opportunities.
Pipeline Management
- Support the development and maintenance of a robust prospect pipeline, ensuring it aligns with the income targets and timelines of the capital appeal and core funding opportunities.
- Work closely with the rest of the Relationship Engagement Team to prioritise prospects and support with research required for cultivation activities.
- Track and update prospect records in the charity’s CRM system, Microsoft Dynamics, to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Ethical Research and Compliance
- Ensure all research is conducted ethically, legally, and in line with data protection regulations and best practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling donor and prospect information.
Collaboration and Reporting
- Collaborate with fundraising colleagues to share insights and ensure a coordinated approach to donor cultivation.
- Prepare regular reports on research activities, prospect pipeline status, and key insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Support the Relationship Engagement Team with ad hoc research needs, such as preparation for donor meetings or events.
Knowledge and Expereince
- Proven experience in prospect research, fundraising, or a related field, preferably in the charity sector.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise large amounts of information into clear and actionable insights.
- Proficiency in using research tools, databases, and online resources to identify and evaluate prospects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with the fundraising process, particularly high-value donor and trust fundraising.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage prospect data and track progress.
- Knowledge of the charity sector and the principles of ethical fundraising.
