We are a very ambitious organisation which has gone through transformational growth over the past five years. Alongside funding an existing programme of world-leading research, treatment and care, the Charity completed its largest capital appeal to date, successfully raising £70 million to build the Oak Cancer Centre at the hospital’s Sutton site, which opened in summer 2023.
With one in two of us expected to develop some form of cancer, it is essential that we go even further in our fundraising efforts to support the essential work of The Royal Marsden. Therefore, we are delivering our most ambitious strategy yet, that will see us raising at least £215m over the 5-year period.
The Charity is committed its biggest fundraising appeal to date, for a new major development project in Chelsea. There is also an extensive portfolio of engaging projects outside of the capital appeals that help to support all aspects of the hospital’s work to improve the lives of cancer patients.

The Philanthropy and Partnerships Directorate, a high performing function that is responsible for all areas of high value fundraising including major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners and special events/high value committee supporters.
We work with the Charity’s most generous supporters, who make a significant difference to the work of The Royal Marsden. Philanthropy plays a vital role in the success of funding the hospital’s most urgent priorities and projects.
Job purpose
As Philanthropy Manager you will manage a portfolio of existing major donors and lead on building relationships with new potential supporters to secure 5 and 6 figure donations. You will support the Head of Philanthropy and other members of the RMCC leadership team, to explore their networks, facilitate introductions and secure gifts.
You will be a proactive individual with a proven ability and passion for relationship management and donor acquisition driving the delivery of our donor-centric strategy for philanthropy.

Working relationships

About the role
The high value and campaign department at Breast Cancer Now are an ambitious team of relationship fundraisers that are committed to delivering significant growth over the next five years. Charitable trust grant-funding has a key role to play in this, with our particular focus on securing long-term committed funding for the organisation.
Our existing portfolio of charitable trust and foundation supporters includes a number of high-profile and high-value partnerships, in some cases held over decades.
We’re now seeking to increase, diversify, and drive our trusts fundraising programme to the next level. The trusts and statutory manager role will achieve this by growing our small to mid-value portfolios – significantly uplifting our conversion of supporters up to the five-figure level. Working across our organisation, you’ll create compelling propositions to secure new supporters; and deliver engaging impact communications to sustain new and existing supporters and inspire committed giving over the long-term.

About you
We’re looking for someone with a passion for making a positive impact through
relationship fundraising – and experience of success in grant fundraising in the small to mid-value area. A skilled multi-tasker, you’ll be adept in managing a high volume of prospects, applying gold-standard relationship principles consistently across your pipeline.
You’ll be responsible for our small to mid-value portfolios and for growing the cumulative value of these. You’ll build a wide knowledge base and strong understanding of our important work to effectively engage with new, potential and existing supporters. With experience in taking a proactive approach, you’ll be equipped to regularly manage multiple tasks including new supporter approaches; thanking and stewardship journeys; and gift administration tasks.
You’ll be motivated to play a supportive role in our wider department fundraising goals while thriving in a team setting.

Location, hybrid working and salary range

The salary range is:

An exciting opportunity for a Data Services Manager has arisen at World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF).
WCRF is the UK’s leading cancer prevention charity focusing on the link between cancer and risk factors such as diet, body weight and physical activity.
We are seeking a Data Services Manager to lead and be responsible for the management, use and maintenance of systems and in-house CRM databases to support the achievement of the charity’s fundraising strategic objectives. You will be analysing and reviewing data and reporting on results that can then be used to build engagement with our supporters.You will also be responsible for a team of two people.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of working with industry standard fundraising software solutions in the charity sector, ideally have knowledge of Claris Filemaker products and will have experience of creating new, and maintaining and updating existing, complex database systems.Experience of creating scripts and troubleshooting existing scripts is key, along with considerable hands-on experience of working with complex data sources, transfers and imports. An understanding and working knowledge of Data Protection regulations is required.

Join our Community Fundraising Team and play an important part in stewarding some of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity’s most dedicated supporters.
This role is an integral part of the Community Fundraising team, providing support to people raising funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and being the first point of contact for enquiries. Dealing directly with supporters, the role requires an effective communicator and proactive individual who is passionate about fundraising. The role will also support the Community Fundraising Manager and Senior Community Fundraising Executive with the stewardship of high value community fundraisers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support and provide high levels of stewardship for supporters who are fundraising for the Charity.
- First point of contact for all community fundraising supporters, including answering incoming calls and meeting and greeting supporters that visit the Charity office.
- Work alongside the Senior Community Fundraising Executive to help identify and develop ways to encourage supporters to fundraise for the Charity.
- Send fundraising materials and thank supporters in a timely manner, keeping an accurate record of these communications on the database
- Ensure community fundraising information on the Charity website and displayed within the hospital is up to date.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Policy and Public Affairs Manager to join our Research, Policy and Impact team.
Supporting the Head of Cancer Insight, you will deliver, and keep under review the policy and public affairs strategy, including influencing at a local, regional, and national level, with the aim of helping the charity achieve its strategy and bringing benefit to the people of Yorkshire. You will have responsibility for the development of evidence-based policy reports and recommendations that can be used to influence a variety of audiences and project manage the development, delivery and evaluation of public affairs campaigns and events. As Policy and Public Affairs Manager, you will also act as a source of expertise across the organisation and externally on key policy areas and the wider policy environment.
Specifically, you will:
Influencing

Support the further development, refinement and delivery of the charity’s policy and public affairsstrategy and impact evaluation process, to support the wider delivert of the charity’s strategic aims.

Oversee the development of insightful written materials and reports to aid influencing.

Lead the charity’s response to regional and national consultations relevant to cancer in Yorkshire, making a robust and evidence-based case for the charity’s position.

Oversee the continued growth of the charity’s political monitoring work and ensure the effective pursuit of every opportunity offered.

Engage with regional and national decision makers to influence policy-making for the benefit of people in Yorkshire and beyond.

Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders across Yorkshire and beyond (such as DHSC, NHSE, Integrated Care Boards, Cancer Alliances, national policy groups, and other charities, to influence change based on policy recommendations.

Evaluate the impact of policy and public affairs activity, with delivery of clear examples of external influencing.
Policy development

Ensure the continued development of the policy production and dissemination process, including the policy development pathway, internal/external dissemination and impact evaluation.

Lead the research, production and dissemination of high quality, evidence-based cancer-related policies and the strategic development of key policy recommendations.

Oversee regular updates of existing policies and position statements, ensuring they are in line with the latest evidence.

Ensure external insight is built into policies and policy development, such as gaining views from the Patient and Public Involvement Community, the inclusion of external patient and public contributors and endorsements from clinical and academic experts.

Oversee work with relevant internal teams to create key messages for a range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring these are in line with the latest evidence and are used correctly, and provide expert commentary on media stories.

Act as a source of expertise on the charity’s cancer-related policies and position statements, both internally and externally. Undertake media interviews as required to communicate key messages with the public.
Campaigns and Events

Project manage the development, delivery and evaluation of public affairs campaigns, in collaboration with the Brand and Relationships team where relevant, manage relationships with third parties to support campaign delivery where required.

Lead the outreach and delivery of influencing events, including visits to charity-funded projects and party conference activity.

Further develop and deliver a strategy for growing and maintaining a handraiser supporter base, to enhance campaigns activity.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:

To have a degree, preferably in a relevant subject area, for example public policy, public health, scientific, medical etc.

To have significantl experience of writing influencing materials such as briefings, letters, blogs, campaign materials.

To have substantial experience supporting the implementation of high impact public affairs strategies that are designed to influence.

To have experience of evaluating campaigns and assessing the impact of policy and public affairs activities.

To have excellent public affairs experience including understanding of local, regional and national government, the current health policy landscape as well as knowledge of UK parliamentary processes along with a proven track-record of engaging politically to make change happen.

About the Role
Location: Predominately home based but must be available to travel to London for meetings and attend Trekstock events
This is a hands‑on, relationship‑led role at the heart of Trekstock’s fundraising, with real responsibility and the opportunity to take ownership within a growing team.
You’ll take ownership of key income streams including challenge events, corporate partnerships and supporter care, helping us grow income while delivering a brilliant experience for everyone who supports Trekstock.
You’ll work closely with existing partners such as Fujifilm UK and The National Lottery, while also contributing to the development of future partnerships. This is a role for a confident starter‑finisher who enjoys taking ideas from concept through to delivery and seeing work through with care and impact.
From managing our iconic Trek This City event to building long‑term partnerships with corporate supporters, you’ll play a key role in bringing new people into our community and keeping them connected to our mission. You’ll be trusted to take ownership, build strong relationships, and make things happen in a small but mighty team.

Key responsibilities
Challenge events & community fundraising
- Lead on the delivery and growth of Trekstock’s challenge events portfolio, including Trek This City, London Marathon places and third‑party events
- Recruit, manage and inspire participants and volunteers, supporting them to reach (and smash) their fundraising targets
- Build meaningful supporter journeys for fundraisers and volunteers that feel personal, motivating and on brand
- Work closely with colleagues and volunteers to promote events and bring supporter stories to life
- Monitor performance, income and ROI, spotting opportunities to grow, improve and refine our approach
- Attend and support events, working alongside volunteers on the day (including occasional evenings and weekends)
Corporate partnerships
- Develop and manage relationships with existing corporate partners, including multi-year charity partners
- Deliver engaging, high-quality partnerships that go beyond fundraising
- Identify opportunities to increase income and deepen engagement
- Support pitches, proposals and reporting for new and existing partners
- Ensure partners feel valued, inspired and connected to Trekstock’s impact and misson
Supporter care & fundraising operations
- Deliver excellent supporter care across all fundraising activity
- Manage key admin processes including thanking, banking and donation processing
- Maintain accurate records on the CRM/database (GDPR compliant)
- Support income tracking, reporting and pipeline management
Wider team contribution
- Contribute ideas to grow income and reach new audiences

About you
You’re a confident relationship‑builder who enjoys working closely with people and making things happen. You’re organised, proactive and comfortable juggling multiple priorities, and you genuinely care about delivering an excellent experience for supporters and partners. You thrive in a small team and are comfortable taking ownership, spotting opportunities and seeing things through from idea to delivery.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in fundraising (events, community, corporate or similar)
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects at once, from initial idea through to delivery and evaluation
- A self-starter mindset; you’re confident working independently and don’t need a big team around you to get things done
- Experience taking ownership of fundraising products or campaigns end-to-end

About the role
As a second line IT support engineer, you’ll be the go-to contact for IT queries and incidents, supporting staff across the UK. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service while resolving issues across technologies like Microsoft 365, windows, macOS, active directory, Azure, mobile platforms, and video conferencing tools.
You’ll manage, triage and escalate service tickets, manage with onboarding and offboarding staff, provide remote and in-person support, and maintain up-to-date documentation and asset records. In line with the charity’s ambitious 10-year fundraising strategy, partnerships are a core component in raising vital funds and awareness to help men navigate the UK’s most common cancer. With nationally recognised, award-winning partnerships as our platform, matched with a record-high brand sentiment rating, a highly prominent cause and a marketplace looking for long-term strategic partnerships, we are building the team infrastructure to maximise our strong position through the launch of two developed functions – Account Development and Business Development.
What the job involves
You’ll lead our business development strategy for corporate partnerships, focusing on securing high-value, purpose-driven relationships with long-term potential (typically 6–8 figure), and building a robust pipeline to deliver sustainable income growth.
- Own and deliver the business development plan, targeting major prospects and flagship partnerships with transformational potential.
- Identify, prioritise and cultivate opportunities across key sectors (including sport and health), shifting activity from short-term, transactional asks to insight-led, multi-year partnerships.
- Shape and test compelling funding propositions, working with internal experts (including Communications, Black Health Equity, Research, Health Services, and Equity & Improvement) to build integrated partnership offers.
- Lead proposal development end-to-end: briefing colleagues, coordinating inputs, writing and reviewing pitches, and ensuring submissions are high quality, compelling and on time.
- Take overall accountability for the business development pipeline: keeping it strategically aligned, properly valued, actively progressed and accurately forecast.
- Improve performance through better pipeline discipline: growing value and volume at each stage, increasing conversion, and reducing lead times from opportunity identification to proposal submission.
- Line manage and develop a team of three experienced Business Development Managers (including sector/specialist roles), setting clear objectives and coaching for confident, high-performance delivery.
- Lead and support negotiations with senior stakeholders, ensuring new partnerships protect and enhance our brand, values and reputation.
- Work closely with partnership colleagues to transition newly secured partners into account development so relationships are onboarded smoothly and set up to scale.
What we want from you
You’re a strategic, commercially minded new business leader who can spot and shape big opportunities, influence at senior levels, and convert complex partnership conversations into high-value, multi-year income.
- Significant experience securing new, high-value corporate partnerships (typically 6–8 figure) in a commercial organisation, charity and/or agency environment.
- A strong track record of delivering income through new business acquisition, with credible examples of taking prospects from first contact through to signed agreement.
- Confidence developing high-value propositions and partnership packages that work for both the organisation and the partner.
- Excellent pipeline management skills, with experience improving conversion rates, forecasting and proposal turnaround times.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills, comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and navigating complex internal decision-making.
- Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to coach, set clear expectations and build a high-performing specialist team.
- A values-led approach and commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, with the judgement to ensure partnerships align with and strengthen our brand.
- Desirable: experience in sport, health, brand-led or ESG-focused partnerships, and/or developing transformational 7–8 figure partnerships.

How and where we work

Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.
