The GAMH Research, Policy and Advocacy Officer is a new post that will play a central role in advancing GAMH’s global policy and advocacy agenda, helping to strengthen and elevate the focus on the health and wellbeing of men within national, regional and global policy environments. The postholder will design and deliver policy advocacy initiatives, generate high-quality research, write reports and publications, support project coordination, engage stakeholders and partners, and support communications to influence decision-makers aimed at improving health and wellbeing outcomes for men and boys within a gender equality framework. The position will work across all GAMH workstreams, with a particular focus on men’s health in Europe, prostate cancer and human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination programmes.

This exciting new role will is being created at a time of organisational expansion and growing interest in men’s health worldwide. It will require attendance at meetings in London and the South East of England and occasional European/international travel will also be required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Policy Advocacy and Campaign Development

• Develop and contribute to GAMH’s policy positions and advocacy on key men’s health issues, with a particular focus on men’s health in Europe, prostate cancer and HPV.
• Monitor and analyse key policy developments relevant to men’s health and the work of GAMH across prevention, early diagnosis, screening, treatment, and support.
• Support the design and delivery of advocacy strategies and campaigns targeting policymakers, professional societies, international non-governmental organisations and other international bodies.
• Support coalition and network building by GAMH to strengthen policy responses on men’s health.
• Prepare policy briefings and advocacy materials.

2. Research, Analysis and Writing

• Conduct and synthesise research on men’s health issues, including policy analysis, epidemiology, and literature reviews.
• Write high-quality accessible reports, evidence summaries, position papers and publications to support GAMH’s work.
• Identify relevant gaps in policy data and evidence relating to men’s health. 

3. Project Coordination and support

• Manage the development of a European Men’s Health report.
• Play a leading role in, and support, the development of GAMH’s Global Prostate Cancer Initiative and wider work on prostate cancer policy.

• Assist in the planning and delivery of other GAMH projects, as necessary.
• Contribute to funding proposals and reporting to donors.

4. Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships

• Support the strengthening of GAMH engagement with national men’s health networks and its members, particularly in Europe.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across each of the relevant GAMH workstreams, including policymakers, non-governmental organisations, UN agencies, academics and researchers, patient organisations, professional bodies, advocates and industry.
• Represent GAMH at meetings, conferences, and events (as required).
• Attend and report to the GAMH Board of Trustees (as required)

5. Communications, Dissemination and Impact

• Support the dissemination of GAMH reports, campaigns, and advocacy outputs.
• Support launch event/s of GAMH and initiatives and reports.
• Contribute to GAMH’s website, newsletters, and social media channels.
• Support monitoring and evaluation of GAMH advocacy and research activities.

Person Specification

Essential

• Degree (or equivalent experience) in health policy, public health, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience in policy advocacy, campaigns and research.
• Experience of research, analysing and synthesising complex information into clear evidence-based written outputs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English), with ability to adapt content for different audiences.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Job Summary

This role will lead the development, setup, and delivery of individual locations within our new hyper-local Early Diagnosis Programme designed to improve bowel cancer awareness and timely presentation in communities most affected by health inequalities. Central to the role is establishing strong partnerships - working with local cancer alliances or health boards, primary care, community pharmacies, employers, and community and faith groups - to create tailored, locally driven plans.

The post holder will oversee the design of bespoke 12-month delivery plans for each location, selecting and coordinating relevant Bowel Cancer UK interventions and ensuring all activity is grounded in local insight and evidence.

This role will be critical in delivering the first phase of the Early Diagnosis Programme, generating learning, refining the model, and laying the foundations for potential future scale-up across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver local early diagnosis programmes by developing tailored, evidence-based 12‑month plans to improve bowel cancer awareness and early presentation in targeted communities.

• Build and manage strong multi-agency partnerships with health systems, primary care, community groups, employers, and other stakeholders to drive coordinated, high-impact local activity.

• Coordinate programme delivery and impact by managing volunteers, overseeing implementation and evaluation frameworks, and using insights to refine and scale the programme nationally.

Lead the operations, governance and compliance that enable Solving Kids' Cancer UK to deliver its mission and impact for children and families affected by neuroblastoma. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will play a critical role in ensuring the charity operates effectively, compliantly and sustainably.

This broad and varied leadership role spans governance, risk, HR, IT, data protection and organisational operations, supporting delivery of the charity's strategy through robust systems, policies and processes. You’ll build and enhance the relationships we have with NHS Trusts and healthcare professionals so that the referral route to Breast Cancer Now is integrated into their processes and procedures. You’ll also work with colleagues across the support and influencing directorate, as well as contributing to our monthly reporting.

We’re seeking a senior media and PR officer – policy, campaigns and public health to join our talented and ambitious media and PR team for six months. Supporting the delivery of annual media plans for these areas of work, you’ll leverage our position as leading experts on breast cancer to secure media profile that increases our influence, engagement and support among target audiences, championing the needs of people affected by breast cancer, engaging key policy decision-makers and the NHS through our change-making campaigns and calls to action, and communicating our vital breast health awareness and health information and messaging to key stakeholders and the public to help make change happen now.

This role is a fixed term contract until end of February 2027.
 
About you 

You’ll be great at building trusted and influential relationships across internal and external contacts up to a senior level including colleagues, journalists, contacts at stakeholder organisations (such as NHS and NICE), people affected by breast cancer who support our work, and celebrities and influencers who support Breast Cancer Now. 

With an understanding and passion for policy, campaigns, and public health you’ll draw on your experience of working across health communications and/or media/PR environments to digest and distil complex and sensitive information into compelling media copy, with an eye for spotting proactive and reactive media opportunities to secure impactful profile.

Used to working in a fast-moving environment, you’ll work at pace without compromising quality of work and working closely with the senior media and PR manager – policy, campaigns and public health to effectively handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines to amplify the charity’s share of voice as a determined leader, driving progress and changing the future for anyone affected by breast cancer.

Effective at working independently, you’ll also be a team player who works closely with and contributes to the wider success of the media and PR team.

People living with both cancer and dementia face significant unfairness:

• Cancer pathways are not designed for cognitive impairment
• Dementia makes it harder to understand information, attend appointments, and make decisions

• Carers face high stress navigating fragmented systems with little tailored support

Our solution: A community-led, learning-based pilot that combines personalised support with system improvement.

The Adviser will act as a single named point of contact, helping individuals navigate complex cancer pathways, understand information, participate in decision-making, access support and maintain their wellbeing throughout their cancer journey.

The role bridges the gap between dementia support and cancer services, ensuring that people experiencing a dual diagnosis receive coordinated, dementia-aware support that promotes dignity, independence and equitable access to care.

We are looking for a person-centred Adviser who:

• Has experience of supporting older people, vulnerable adults or people with long-term conditions. Experience supporting carers would be desirable.
• Has a strong understanding of dementia and its impact on communication, decision-making and daily life.
• Has the ability to build trusting relationships with people experiencing distress and uncertainty.

What you do

Main purpose of post

This is an important role in the fundraising team which is responsible for identifying, developing, and converting opportunities to generate income to achieve Weston Park Cancer Charity’s strategy. This role will support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to secure income generation through corporate organisations. It carries an income target aligned to the grade of the post holder, within an overall corporate income target of over £400,000 per annum.

You will be expected to understand Weston Park Cancer Charity’s unique offer, the needs and priorities of our corporate partners and be capable of taking our propositions and clearly shaping them to create mutual value for the communities we support and our partners.

Key Responsibilities

 · Responsible for an income target of which aligns with the grade of the post, contributing to an overall corporate income target of over £4000k pa.

· Delivers income growth through gifts from corporates, workplace fundraising and public facing corporate donations.

· Support the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager in developing and implementing a comprehensive corporate partnership strategy which is data driven and demonstrates strong ROI.

· Develop and deliver concepts and ideas, from early discussion through to detailed proposals, working with colleagues across the charity. 

· Contribute to maximising sponsorship of our key programmes such as Big Purple Bus and Grant-Giving for cancer research and other initiatives.

· Write detailed, accurate and compelling bids and proposals that clearly articulate how Weston Park Cancer Charity are the preferred choice to meet the partner and project objectives for Charity of the Year or long-term strategic partnerships.

· Work with our events team to promote opportunities for corporate partners to support the annual events programme e.g. tables at events , team challenge events

· Succinctly communicate the impact of our work, ensuring it inspires and clearly matches the requirements of potential corporate partners and major donors.

· Be a key interface for external corporate enquiries and act as an external ambassador, undertaking significant networking across the region and representing the charity at key meetings and events.

· Be responsible for the management of an agreed number of accounts, providing excellent relationship management.

· Ensure that the resource and capability exist to deliver partner/funder requirements and proactively identify and seek to fill any gaps.

· Ensure we collect detailed and continuous feedback so that we learn from experience and effectively evaluate both successful and unsuccessful funding proposals and initiatives.

· Develop and maintain a prospect pipeline that is realistically capable of meeting agreed income targets and reflects both the strategic priorities of Weston Park Cancer Chairty and the external funding priorities of our corporate partners

· Maximise Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) opportunities, work place fundraising and volunteering, and Gifts in Kind.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is required for this role: oncology, cancer care, urology, gynaecology, adolescent and young adult services, community nursing, or a related healthcare setting. Please provide evidence of your relevant experience in your covering letter and/or CV.

The knowledge, compassion and communication skills developed through supporting patients and families affected by cancer are directly transferable to this role.

About the role

This is a newly redesigned role created following a review of Robin Cancer Trust's support services. 

The Community & Support Lead will play a key role in ensuring that people affected by testicular and ovarian germ cell cancers can access compassionate support, trusted information, meaningful connections and opportunities to shape our future work. 

We particularly welcome applications from nurses and other healthcare professionals who may be looking for a career change, greater flexibility, or an opportunity to use their skills in a non-clinical setting. Whilst this is not a clinical position and does not involve providing medical advice, your understanding of the patient experience, treatment pathways and the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis would help us deliver high-quality, person-centred support to our community.

This role may particularly appeal to nurses seeking flexible, remote working arrangements, including those looking for school-hours working, a better work-life balance, or an opportunity to continue making a meaningful difference outside of frontline clinical practice.

Job Purpose: 

The Community & Support Lead will act as the primary point of contact for Robin Cancer Trust's support services and community activity.

The role will lead the development and delivery of our support offer, including patient enquiries, community engagement, signposting, Thriver Packs, WhatsApp communities, lived experience involvement and service development. 

The role will work closely with the CEO, Head of Operations, Medical Advisory Board and Clinical Advisor to ensure our support services remain compassionate, effective, safe and impactful. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Community Support 

• Respond to support enquiries from patients, families and supporters. 
• Coordinate the delivery of Thriver Packs. 
• Signpost individuals to relevant organisations, services and resources. 
• Maintain accurate support records and impact data. 
• Ensure enquiries are managed professionally and compassionately. 

Community Development 

• Lead and develop the Thriver Community. 
• Manage and moderate Robin Cancer Trust's WhatsApp communities. 
• Build meaningful relationships with people affected by cancer. 
• Create opportunities for lived experience involvement. 
• Recruit, engage and support community volunteers. 

Service Development 

• Identify gaps, opportunities and emerging community needs. 
• Support the development of new support services and wellbeing initiatives. 
• Build relationships with charities, healthcare professionals and support organisations. 
• Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of services. 

Governance & Administration 

• Coordinate Medical Advisory Board meetings and actions. 
• Maintain support service reporting and records.

Interim Head of Data and Evidence

What the job involves
This is a brilliant opportunity to lead our Data and Evidence Team on an interim basis while the postholder is on parental leave. You’ll help us understand and use the evidence that shapes our work, from clinical and real-world data to screening, Black health equity and wider health improvement priorities.

Working closely with teams across the charity, you’ll turn complex evidence into clear insight that supports our strategy, communications and programme delivery. You’ll also guide research and analysis across the four UK nations, helping us stay focused on the biggest opportunities to improve outcomes for men and their families.

We’re looking for an experienced evidence and data leader who can quickly build confidence, relationships and momentum. You’ll bring a background in health epidemiology, data science or biomedical science, with strong experience of working with healthcare data and real-world evidence.

You’ll be confident analysing and interpreting complex information, and just as confident explaining what it means to different audiences. You’ll also be a supportive, inclusive people leader who brings curiosity, judgement and an equity lens to your work.

Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.

We’re seeking an Events Manager (Third-Party Events) to join our join our dynamic and high-achieving Events team to cover maternity leave!  We are looking for someone who can join us in mid-August 2026 for a 13-month Fixed-Term contract.

In this role, you’ll manage a team of four to deliver our third-party portfolio challenge events, including leading the London Marathon Double and Great North Run, London Landmarks Half Marathon and Hackney Half. 

You’ll lead the team to deliver and optimise omni-channel stewardship journeys, shape effective marketing strategies and maximise opportunities to boost engagement, recruitment and retention.

What the role involves:

• To manage the team to meet income targets through the delivery of areas of our events portfolio

• To develop and implement plans, marketing materials, multi-channel campaigns and supporter journeys for event participants

• To oversee budgets for your area, tracking and reporting on performance

About You

• Previous line management experience

• Someone who can land a message for different audiences without losing our brand voice

• A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills from someone who is equally happy working independently or in a team
