The post holder will act as a first point of contact for service users, undertaking assessments, identifying support needs, developing support plans, managing a caseload, and working collaboratively with partner organisations to achieve positive client outcomes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead two established supported housing services helping people experiencing homelessness, recovery from substance use and barriers to employment to move towards greater independence.
You will manage two small, experienced teams across services providing shared accommodation in Brighton. While each service has its own remit and outcomes, both focus on providing safe accommodation alongside the support people need to rebuild their lives through recovery, employment, training and increased independence.

As a Recovery Worker, you will work within a specialist, trauma-informed, gender-responsive and child-centred service delivering structured interventions to support women and families to achieve positive and lasting change.
You will work directly with women and some men (via partnerships) impacted by substance use. Your role as a Recovery Worker will include conducting assessments, providing care coordination / key work to a caseload of clients on an individual basis (face to face and over the phone) and facilitation of groups.
The women on your caseload will be experiencing problems with drugs and/or alcohol and be working towards recovery. Support will range from guidance on harm minimisation, to support reducing substance use, to (in some cases) complete abstinence. The role requires close multi-agency working, participation in safeguarding processes, and the delivery of both individual and group-based interventions.
