We are seeking a male flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic Sessional Worker to support the delivery of services for Young Carers aged 5-16. Due to an increase in trips and off-site activities, and to ensure we provide appropriate support for all young people- particularly our male Young Carers - we are particularly seeking a male sessional worker to join the team. The role involves two key parts. The first is helping to deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote wellbeing, reduce isolation, and give Young Carers a break from their responsibilities. The second is supporting with outreach to local schools, colleges, community settings and professionals to identify and engage Young Carers. 

About The Role: 

You will work across two key age groups- 5-11 and 12–16 - delivering and supervising activities, supporting events and trips, and providing behavioural management where needed. You will deliver awareness training sessions, run stalls and aim to identify and engage Young Carers in the community. You will also help ensure young Carers feel heard, included, and supported as they navigate the challenges of their caring roles. We are particularly looking for a male sessional worker who is available for our upcoming residential trip to the Young Carers Festival on the 26th – 28th June and a day trip to Southend-On-Sea on the 6th June.  This is a sessional role, therefore hours are not guaranteed but will be offered based on project need.

Qualified Low Intensity Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) – NHS Pathfinder Partnership

GMRC is a registered charity working with adult women who are victims and survivors of sexual violence and child sexual abuse, providing independent, specialist support and promoting and representing their rights and needs.

We are seeking a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) or Low Intensity Psychological Worker to support survivors of sexual trauma and their loved ones through evidence-based, low‑intensity psychological interventions.

You will work closely with a wide network of main contacts and partners, including PCFT GM Resilience Hub, TRC, Greater Manchester Rape Crisis, Manchester Action on Street Health (MASH), local authority partners, third‑sector organisations, multi‑disciplinary teams, service users and carers, and services across the adult mental health pathway.

The role operates across three sites within Greater Manchester, making the ability and willingness to travel between sites essential. You will work flexibly in partner organisation settings and in the community, collaborating with individuals, carers and multi‑agency providers to assess and identify social care needs that may present barriers to clients addressing their sexual trauma.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver evidence‑based, low‑intensity interventions for survivors of sexual harm and their loved ones
• Support clients through effective engagement, communication and practical coordination
• Work collaboratively with the Community Development team, counsellors and volunteers to ensure survivors can access appropriate and timely support
• Manage communication between clients, partners and services, contributing to joined‑up, trauma‑informed care
• Assist in supporting and working alongside volunteers where required

• Engage with women‑only services and partner organisations to ensure safe, inclusive and responsive support

About you

You will be a qualified and experienced practitioner with a background in mental health, trauma‑informed practice and engagement. Experience of working within women‑only services supporting those who have experienced sexual harm and their loved ones is highly valued, though we also welcome applicants with strong transferable skills.

Age UK Lambeth’s vision is to work closely with residents, closely to where they live, remain relevant and to respond locally to rising needs. The MYcommunity Gateway Team provides support across Age UK Lambeth’s three Neighbourhoods: North, South and Central. 

Age UK Lambeth and the MYcommunity Gateway team have partnered with Lambeth Adult Social Care in response to the redesign of their Initial Contact Service. Age UK Lambeth provides a busy, in-demand helpline to all new callers to Lambeth Adult Social Care. The helpline provides a triage service, dealing with enquiries, providing individuals the opportunity to discuss their issues and be provided with advice, information and guidance and potentially signposted to a range of services to provide them with support. Where appropriate, referrals are made to ASC for an assessment. 

Call operation times will be Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm, excluding bank holidays.

The service works closely with Lambeth Adult Social Care and we have a base working alongside them at the Civic Centre in Brixton. Staff work hybridly, with the opportunity to work from home at least two days per week.

What you’ll be doing?

1. The Helpline Worker will answer Lambeth Adult Social Care’s telephone line where the caller has selected a new caller to the service. 

2. Answer a range of queries and offer reassurance to all callers.

3. Refer clients to Adult Social Care for an assessment where appropriate.

4. Refer clients into external and partner services to provide support and refer clients to other Age UK Lambeth services.

About the roles 

These are new roles focused on bringing lived experience into everyday inpatient care.This is a pilot project, hence the one-year contract term. 

You will work alongside ward teams to support recovery focused and therapeutic activity. The role is about being present on the ward, building relationships, and contributing to a positive and engaging environment for patients. 

You will use your lived experience appropriately to support hope, participation and recovery, while working within clear professional boundaries.

Hours and contracts

We are recruiting a small team of Lived Experience Recovery Workers to work across inpatient settings in West Sussex. 

Contracts will be offered flexibly, likely across 4 to 5 roles, with a mix of full time and part time hours. 

All roles will be place based, working within a single inpatient setting. There is no requirement to travel between sites.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the operational delivery of services across Stockton on Tees and South Tees (Recar & Middlesbrough) area.  The Operational Manager will provide strategic and operational management to our services in the Northeast and line management of 2 - 3 service managers.

Stockton services are delivered under our successful strategic partnership with Stockton Borough Council. This unique partnership was formed nearly 5 years ago with the aim of transforming service provision using a collaborative approach to service development and innovation. Our South Tees Perinatal service operates over Redcar and Middlesborough and are just entering a 3 year extension to our current contract.

Main Responsibilities:

· Provide leadership, management and supervision to operational services that provide Family Time sessions, Family Outreach support and Volunteering support, plus perinatal support to families.

· Ensure that services are delivered to a good quality standard in relation to practice and performance and that services can demonstrate their impact using evidence based outcomes tools.

Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):

· Experience of providing effective management, leadership and safeguarding oversight of case work and group work based support services, which overall improve the lives of  service users.

· Experience of setting up and/or managing innovative projects.

· Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence and ability to present and communicate information effectively both in person and using a range of mediums to internal and external stakeholders, including children and young people, parents and carers, and funders.

· Appointments are subject to Family Action receiving a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service –Enhanced

An exciting opportunity is now available at Crantock Drive for a Service Coordinator offered either as one Full-Time position or 2 Part-Time positions. 

This role is to help shape, inspire and lead a team as well as positively impact and make a difference to the lives of the people we support. 

Working with individuals with learning disabilities we are a busy 8 bed residential service. The successful applicant will need to be enthusiastic, to adapt quickly and lead a diverse team in different and challenging situations.

We are looking for someone who is organised, pro-active, can multi-task and work on their own initiative, proficient in IT systems (or quick learner!), as well as working in a person-centred way.

The successful Service Coordinator will include overseeing care packages for the people we support (liaising with professionals and families, creating and updating support plans and risk assessments, etc), line managing staff (including but not limited to supervisions, role modelling, wellbeing check-ins, following policies and protocols, etc,).

You would be working as part of a small team where good verbal and written communication is essential. Other essential skills include the capacity to work within professional boundaries, yet meet individuals with empathy, and the ability to have difficult conversations while creating good working relationships with colleagues.

The position is full time, worked over 5 days and will require you to work regular weekends. You will be based at Crantock Drive, however an element of the position will require you to be able to get to other locations for training, meetings, etc.

Experience in a leadership role is not essential; if you have the skills identified within our advert to bring to the post, you will be considered. Support and training will be available.

At Birmingham Hospice, we support people living with life‑limiting illness to live as well as they can - and we walk alongside their families during some of life’s most challenging moments. We are now looking for a Specialist Palliative Care Social Worker to join our compassionate, expert team across our Erdington and Selly Park sites.

About the Role

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will deliver high‑quality, person‑centred social work support to patients, families, carers and communities. You’ll provide skilled emotional, practical and safeguarding support, helping people navigate complex situations with dignity, empathy and professionalism this is in addition to supporting hospice staff.

Key responsibilities include:

· Delivering a coordinated family support service across both hospice sites

· Working closely with the Senior Social Worker and wider MDT to ensure holistic care

· Providing expert support around emotional wellbeing, care planning and practical needs

· Championing best practice in palliative and end‑of‑life care with internal and external partners

· Applying your expertise in safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, DoLS and related legislation

· Completing assessments and applications for Social Care and Fast‑Track CHC packages to enable timely support

· Providing education around safeguarding, mental capacity and DOLS

About you:

· You’ll be a skilled, compassionate social worker who brings professionalism, warmth and integrity to your practice.

· Be a registered Social Worker with Social Work England (registration number required on application)

· Be a car owner and will hold a full, clean driving licence
