Full time role

Fixed Term Contract of 2 years (with the hope of extension)

Cardiff (Office based)

Carers Trust Wales is part of Carers Trust, a major charity for, with and about carers. We work to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems.

With locally based Network Partners we are able to support carers in their homes through the provision of replacement care, and in the community with information, advice, emotional support, hands on practical help and access to much needed breaks.

We are currently looking for a Project Officer to support the Carers Trust Wales team to deliver against 3 key projects:

  • Supporting health and social care professionals to be better able to identify and support carers

  • Working to improve awareness of and support for older carers

  • Supporting the development and roll out of a National Young Carers ID Card Scheme.

As part of a 2-year, Welsh Government—funded post, this role will be responsible for working with a range of stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of these projects.

This is a great opportunity for an organised and creative person interested in joining a vibrant organisation and very successful team.

An application form should be completed and sent to the email address below. CVs will only be accepted with a supporting statement.

Closing date for applications is 12pm on 1st April 2020 with interviews 7th April 2020 in Cardiff.

Carers Trust is committed to valuing diversity.

Carers Trust has a number of measures in place to support the carers in its employment including carers leave.
