Position: CE303 Supporter Acquisition Officer

Location: Homebased, U.K. Nationwide, however occasional travel will be required as part of this role (May include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Salary: Circa £30,600 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum or outer London weighting £2,100 per annum may be applied in accordance to where you live)

Contract: This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months.

The Role

Reporting to the Supporter Acquisition and New Product Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving innovation within our fundraising initiatives. You will be working with wider teams to help identify new products for our portfolio and to ensure that our products and offers are integrated.

As we continue to invest and grow our programme, this is a very exciting time to join our team.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Managing campaigns on brand and within budget

About You

You will have experience working in a fundraising role within a fundraising team or marketing environment and will have key strengths in:

· Good experience of Excel and working with numbers and spreadsheets, to deliver on campaign results, budgets, and reporting

· Good grammatical skills and experience of reviewing compelling copy

· Knowledge and interest in the charity fundraising sector

The Institutional Trusts and Fundraising Manager will provide strategic oversight and direction for Lepra’s institutional fundraising function to deliver on the restricted and unrestricted income targets. The role.

This is an exciting role that sits on the senior leadership team with a significant amount of autonomy for an outstanding fundraiser and leader who is interested in further developing a fundraising function to eventually deliver c.£1.8m fundraising income per annum.

They are at a crucial stage in the evolution of their fundraising. Opened in 2019, our Youth Zone is founded on the OnSide funding model whereby the first four years of revenue is made possible primarily by major donors – Founder Patrons – who each committed a minimum of £25k pa for four years.

Now as they enter year five, they seek the continuation of this support and are in the initial stages of diversifying their income sources. They have also secured significant ringfenced funding to expand the fundraising team, and the incoming Director of Fundraising will have significant scope to shape the team around their vision and strategy. Exciting opportunity to lead a significant legacy and in memory programme and manage a team of two.

This is an exciting and integral role at Sue Ryder who are seeking an experienced legacy and in memory fundraiser to lead a programme that brings in c£7.5-8million a year. You will develop and implement an innovative fundraising strategy that is focused on sustainable growth and providing exceptional stewardship.

Responsibilities include:

Leadership, Strategy and Governance

• To be an active member of the Made in Hackney Senior Leadership Team, working together to galvanise the organisation behind our strategic plan.
• To contribute to strategic discussions on the future direction of the organisation.

• To develop and execute an annual fundraising strategy: building a sustainable portfolio consisting of grants and donations from individuals, corporates, trusts and foundations, to ensure long-term sustainable funding of activities.
• To research and prospect future funders.
• To maintain precise and up-to-date records on current and potential supporters and prospects.
• To create engaging fundraising communication tools.
• To establish partnerships for joint programmes and funding bids where beneficial.

Donor stewardship & reporting

• To retain current donors and maximise fundraising opportunities, including delivering a programme of appropriate stewardship opportunities with the core team.
• To work with the team to co-design programmes and their evaluation requirements to ensure the organisation meets the grant funders' requirements. 
• To complete reporting to grant funders, including developing report templates, creating reports, case studies, and other administrative requirements. 

Communications

• To input into MIH’S communications strategy and the planning and implementation of improvements to marketing plans, digital presence and social media strategy to ensure impact and fundraising successes are communicated
• To maintain a stock of impact-focused case studies and success stories and ensure fundraising successes are communicated on social media and online.
• To ensure the robust monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of fundraising strategies and campaigns; providing key input to the annual report and impact report.
• To coordinate fundraising events with the Community Partnerships Manager. 

Line Management

• To have direct line management responsibility for the Community Partnerships Manager and Social Media & Marketing Manager, creating a supportive environment for growth and development.

About the role

You will be responsible for planning and organising a calendar of events for our team to attend, from shopping centres to country shows, high streets to our reserves, and everything in between, so that they can inspire members of the public to become members of the RSPB.

Our aim is to inspire external partners about our attendance at their events or venues. We are looking for someone who is a confident relationship builder with excellent telephone and email manners and communication and negotiation skills. You must have impeccable organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and be able to manage several tasks at once, recording all key details on our CRM database system daily to ensure that our team of Membership Fundraisers have everything they need to attend their events and venues.

You will be part of a successful and energetic team covering the whole UK. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the country. This position can be conducted from home, however, occasional travel, including to a local office, reserve or elsewhere in the United Kingdom, will be required.

INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Development and Outreach Officer to play a key role in mobilising resources, expanding the network, and raising awareness about child marriage globally. The Development and Outreach Officer will work within the Development and Outreach Team to develop and implement fundraising strategies, cultivate donor relationships, lead the development of grant proposals and reporting processes, and support with outreach events.
 

We are looking for a passionate fundraiser with previous experience in a similar role in the not-for-profit sector, international/intergovernmental organisation or social enterprise. You will have a proven track record of writing funding proposals for trusts and foundations, excellent relationship management and impeccable written communication skills.
 

Job location

London, UK (hybrid with up to three days on site per week). May include international travel.

Salary range

£32,600 rising on an annual incremental basis. Girls Not Brides also offers a generous 10% pension.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Proposal development, grant management and reporting

•  Develop concept notes and proposals, collaborating with relevant teams to ensure alignment with Girls Not Brides’ priorities and with donor requirements.
• Coordinate the preparation of budgets, work plans, and other supporting materials for grant applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with donor guidelines.
• Support in monitoring grant timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance and accountability.
• Prepare timely and accurate donor reports and updates.
   

Donor cultivation and stewardship

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors to expand Girls Not Brides’ network and strengthen collaborations. 
   

Fundraising strategy

• Contribute to the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to diversify and increase Girls Not Brides’ funding base, in alignment with organisational goals and priorities.
• Research and identify potential funding opportunities from diverse sources, including trusts and foundations, governments and corporates.
• Collaborate with Girls Not Brides’ internal teams (regional, finance, communications, learning and impact teams) to maximise fundraising opportunities.
   

Outreach events

•  Support the team in the planning and implementation of events and outreach work throughout the year, working with other teams in the Secretariat, our members and partners.
•  Represent Girls Not Brides at meetings, conferences, and events to network with existing and potential donors, to promote the organisation's mission and impact.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and passionate person to join our EDI team. This is a new role that aims to support the co-creation of a sustainable EDI training solution that delivers our ambitious strategic plans for improving our working and volunteering culture. 

The training will also support behavioural change in both of these communities. Through the creation of safe, brave spaces, you’ll be raising the awareness and knowledge of EDI related topics for both our staff and volunteers.
