The Head of Public Fundraising is a new role at Coeliac UK leading the charity’s public fundraising function. The role focusses on driving sustainable growth across individual giving, community fundraising, events, lottery, raffle, digital fundraising and merchandise. The fundraising officer will play a key role in delivering and growing the charity's events and community fundraising programme, with a focus on increasing supporter participation, income, retention and long-term engagement. This will include leading on the planning, delivery and evaluation of key activity such as the charity's flagship events (including Eye to Eye and a proposed abseil), third-party challenge events (e.g., London Marathon and The Big Half), and supporter-led community fundraising.
The selected candidate will be an experienced events and/or community fundraiser, with a confident, proactive approach and strong relationship-building skills. You will bring excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, be comfortable working with a range of internal and external stakeholders and suppliers, and be motivated by delivering high-quality supporter experiences.
