As a Social Entrepreneur Support Manager, you will be focused on delivering the best possible support to social entrepreneurs and their venture to help them maximise their social impact. This role will lead on finding, funding and supporting social entrepreneurs to offer them the best chance of success, from start up to scale. This role will be working with a diverse range of Social Entrepreneurs, both in terms of their lived experience, and the stage of their venture.

You will be responsible for working with a portfolio of social entrepreneurs at different stages of their journey, from ideation through to growth and scale. The portfolio of social entrepreneurs you will be supporting may vary dependent upon the team you sit within. You may be focused on early-stage or growth stage ventures as needed, offering more flexibility, variety, and skill development opportunities. You will be responsible for the delivery of a package of support that provides the social entrepreneur with awards (grants), Individual and business support, access to peer-to-peer support and to networks.   

In the respective teams you will also play an important role in deepening our capability and expertise when it comes to supporting social entrepreneurs during these different stages, building Pathways to Growth. You may also support the design, development and delivery of externally funded programmes or work with thematically/geographically linked social entrepreneurs as appropriate. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team. The role will report to the Head of Marketing and Fundraising and will be responsible for developing and implementing the fundraising strategy, driving forward all aspects of fundraising, including building corporate charity of the year partnerships, individual giving, major donors,
trusts and foundations, legacies and community fundraising.

The successful candidate will be a core member of the Central Team, working closely with the Marketing Team to develop and deliver income for the charity.

 
This role will have budgetary responsibility to achieving a revenue target in financial year 26/27 of £1.5 million, whilst building a sustainable income stream for the long-term with Yr on Yr growth. Key priorities include increasing the Individual Giving and Regular Giving donor database, donor and fundraiser stewardship, organising fundraising events, and securing grants and sponsorships.

As one of our two Lead event stewards you will be responsible for our team of paid, casual Cathedral Stewards. The Cathedral Stewards are an essential part of our life at the Cathedral – making possible the busy and engaging programme of services and events that we hold. You will organise the duty rota for the paid Cathedral Stewards, lead the Cathedral Stewards on the Cathedral floor during events and special services and take a lead on the recruitment, training and development of the stewards in collaboration with the EA to the COO. 

You will work closely with the Head of Engagement, the Engagement Coordinator and the Head of Events – assisting them with their delivery of events. You will also be a key member of the Health, Safety and Security Committee at the Cathedral. At its core, this is a role which offers the Lead Event Stewards the chance to be at the forefront of our relationship with our visitors and play a key part in the success of our special services, large-scale commercial and Engagement events.

• Significant experience of event stewarding
• A keen awareness of health, safety, and security challenges for large public sites
• Experience of line managing volunteers or paid casual staff

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Organise monthly rotas for the Cathedral Event Stewards to ensure all events are adequately and appropriately staffed;
• Working alongside the HR team, develop and maintain a training programme for Cathedral stewards
• Work alongside the Head of Engagement and the Engagement Coordinator to take part actively in planning, set-up and delivery of Engagement events such as talks, theatre, music, comedy nights and art installations;
• Undertake stewarding shifts for special services, large scale commercial events and Engagement events;
• Work alongside the team to undertake Risk Assessments and Method Statements for special and Engagement events; 
• Assist the Audience Development Coordinator in collecting feedback from Engagement events
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service at all times;
• Attend the fortnightly Health, Safety and Security Committee: help to develop and implement new initiatives and responses to legislation and other guidelines, and assist with developing ways of working and steward handbooks;
• Attend various internal meetings including the weekly diary meeting, project and event planning meetings, all-staff meetings and the Health, Safety and Security Committee meeting.

• Compile steward timesheets and submit to the Finance Department for payroll

Prostate Cancer Research exists to honour the men and families who have been through things no family should have to go through, and to work for a future where no one needs to fear a prostate cancer diagnosis.

It’s been a successful few years for the Events team with good results across the board – increasing income by over £1 million every year since 2023, a big part of which has been due to the huge growth of virtual challenges. And we just won Fundraising Charity of the Year at the National Fundraising Awards 2026!

Now’s an exciting time as we’ve recently expanded the team again, bringing in new resource to give our different activity areas space to grow and ensure the whole team can do their best work – contributing to PCR’s lifesaving mission, developing in their careers and enjoying their work within our ambitious and supportive team.

We are now recruiting for a new Events & Community Executive to join the frontline of our fundraising stewardship, so strong relationship skills and a love of creating great supporter experiences are essential. A big part of the role will be project managing fundraising activities which will require a proactive approach and an eagerness to learn, as well as some experience of leading a project yourself in the past.

Examples of projects include the Walk 100 Miles in May, Cycle 300 Miles in June and 12 Dips in December, but you will work on a variety of activities with the team – sharing learnings and supporting each other to hit our shared goals. You will receive the training and support you need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Event management and delivery

· Lead the delivery of the fundraising activities you are working on – monitoring objectives, budgets and the bigger picture to ensure that opportunities are seized and risks are minimised.

· Create and follow action plans for your projects, taking responsibility for processes and the delivery of tasks on time.

· Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and third-party organisations.

· Ensure all fundraising activities promote PCR’s brand and have a strong connection to people with prostate cancer.

· Analyse project results based on KPIs & feedback, proactively suggesting changes & improvements.

Stewardship 

· Lead on the delivery of supporter journeys for your projects, providing a high level of stewardship which motivates our fundraisers to raise more and remain loyal supporters of PCR.

· Lead on relationship management as required for the fundraising activities you are working on.

· Carry out stewardship tasks using tools like Mailchimp, GivePanel, JustGiving & Funraisin, for which training will be provided.

· Use feedback & data to spot opportunities for the constant improvement of fundraisers’ experience with PCR.

Marketing and recruitment

· Work with the team to create effective marketing plans and lead on their implementation to meet acquisition targets.

· Create recruitment assets which are tailored by a good understanding of our audiences.

· With the support of the team, track and analyse marketing performance to proactively suggest improvements.

Administration and database

· Oversee stock management via our fulfilment house and ensure we have high quality fundraising merchandise.

· Carry out participant data processing, income processing and budget management tasks as required – including coding, database administration, supplier payments, and income & expenditure tracking.

· Ensure your fundraising activities are delivered in line with fundraising law & regulations, and with PCR’s policies.

Strategy and development

· Always have an eye on new opportunities and ideas to inject into your projects, taking a test & learn approach.

· Contribute to team strategy and budgeting, working with the team to create exciting plans.

· Lead on relevant projects to improve how we do things – from stewardship & content, to processes & compliance.

· Be proactive in your personal development and look for opportunities to learn – with lots of support from your manager!

Teamwork

· Actively contribute to meetings, sharing new ideas and learnings that might be useful for the wider team.

· Work with the team to embed our agile ways of working, where we all take collective responsibility for the team’s goals.

· Be flexible in busy times, working together to meet team goals, and sometimes getting involved with other projects and tasks across the Public Fundraising team.

· Attendance will be required at some weekend and evening events, for which TOIL will be given.

The organisation is a national charity tackling financial insecurity and its structural causes. They support people facing financial hardship to access the resources and opportunities they need to thrive, while working to challenge stigma and change the systems that drive financial insecurity.

This is a full-time, permanent role paying a salary of c.£47,000 per annum. The postholder will be working in a hybrid model from their offices in London.

The Community and Events Fundraising Manager will be responsible for leading the development, delivery and iteration of a multi-year Community and Events fundraising strategy. With support and strategic oversight from the Head of Income Generation, you will be ensuring annual income, event participant and supporter engagement targets are met or exceeded.

The organisation are looking for candidates with experience of community and/or challenge events fundraising, with a track record of meeting or exceeding five-figure income targets and ideally six-figure targets. The ideal candidate will have strong project, budget and KPI management skills, including planning, reporting, prioritisation and evaluation.

The Special Events team is responsible for the management and delivery of unique festivals partnerships and special events.

About the role

As our Special Events Manager – Volunteering you will lead volunteer management across all of WaterAid’s festival and special events activity and manage teams of staff and volunteers onsite at some of the UKs biggest and most loved public events.

In this role, you will:

• Recruit, train and manage over 700 volunteers across festivals
• Develop and deliver volunteer training, safeguarding and wellbeing processes.
• Support the special events team with operational plans, including volunteer schedules, logistics and volunteer welfare.
• Lead teams onsite at festival events as required including Glastonbury festival, and other WaterAid events.
• Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Proven experience of recruiting, developing, motivating, and managing large teams of volunteers at mass public events.
• Excellent knowledge and experience of safeguarding and welfare practices for volunteers and experience in delivering these in a live events environment.
• Proven experience of leading, managing and supporting volunteers and staff.
• Ability to manage cross-team projects and establish excellent stakeholder relationships at peer and senior levels to deliver against shared objectives.
