We are looking for three Support Workers (Community Connectors – Assessment and Engagement Team) to join our team. We have three positions available in Aylesbury.
Your challenge? To provide advice, support, advocacy and key work for recovery plans and undertake elements of assessment and case management as directed. And, all the while, we’ll expect you to operate in a way that recognises and values diversity and understands the functional model of substance use, the Recovery Agenda and the problems caused by alcohol and drug misuse.
Preferably with a NVQ 2/3 in Social Care, or willing to attain this, you are used to working to policy and procedural requirements that include child protection, vulnerable adults, confidentiality and health & safety. We’ll also be looking for good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and fulfil data requirements. A flexible approach is important too, as is a commitment to taking a client centred approach to providing services and working in a way that recognises and values diversity.

Key Responsibilities:

Skills, experience and professional qualifications required:
- CIPD qualified, level 5 or above

- Experience of working for a small to medium sized organisation in a HR stand-alone role
- Experience of managing a wide range of employee relations (e.g. disciplinary, grievance, performance improvement, dismissal, absence management), policy development and health & safety compliance
- Experience of managing staff recruitment, selection, onboarding and offboarding
- Experience of managing a cloud-based HR system, integrated with payroll, for the whole organisation
- Analytical skills to draw out useful information to inform reports and actions
- Ability to confidently and cogently influence and support managers at all levels
- Experience of contributing to the creation of a values-led, inclusive and high-performing organisational culture
- Experience managing and maintaining HR systems and reporting tools
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365, Excel, HR and payroll cloud-based systems

Role Purpose
Working alongside our chief executive (who is an experienced fundraiser), an external larger bid writing resource and heads of programmes, the key objectives are to successfully generate income with grants valuing up to c.£10k in line with KLS fundraising plan and annual budget; develop and maintain relationships, and secure funding from, a portfolio of loyal and prospective supporters. Organisational governance & compliance
- Provide advice and guidance to the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team and Board of Trustees on all governance related matters, including the interpretation of IChemE’s governing documents to ensure excellent governance across the organisation.
- Continuously monitor developments in charity good governance practice, identifying areas for improvement in IChemE’s key governance processes and procedures.
- Effectively manage and communicate any changes in legislation or requirements of the charity commission and other relevant bodies.
- Ensure fulfilment of the governance requirements for all legal entities within IChemE including filings, returns, resolutions and maintenance of records and registers.
- Work with the Head of Finance & Compliance, and others, to ensure controls are embedded and compliance to IChemE’s governing documents is monitored escalating any non-compliance or risks as appropriate.
- Manage IChemE’s internal Corporate Information SharePoint site, ensuring version control of all documents and that information is readily available to internal users.
Governing documents
- Ensure that IChemE’s governing documents (including Royal Charter, By-Laws, Regulations and organisational policies) are kept under continual review, in particular to ensure compliance with, and reflect any changes required by, charity regulators.
- Manage the approval, communication and any necessary ballot for changes to the governing documents for all legal entities within IChemE.
- Regularly review IChemE’s committee structure and Scheme of Delegation to ensure they remain appropriate to meet the needs of the organisation.
- Ensure all committees and sub-committees / panels are properly constituted with clear Terms of Reference in place which are regularly reviewed an updated.
Board of Trustees, Congress and Committees
- Schedule all meetings of the Board of Trustees and committees to fall at strategic times during the year to enable in-depth consideration of agreed agenda items and efficient flow of information and decisions.
- Manage the preparation of high-quality Board and committee papers to facilitate effective discussion and decision making.
- Manage the effective running of Congress, IChemE’s member advisory body to the Board of Trustees.
- Provide follow-up to the Board, committee and Congress meetings through dialogue with senior colleagues and by moving forward outstanding action points.
- Lead on the succession planning and recruitment for the Board of Trustees, and Congress, managing the election process and any necessary ballot of members.
- Work with the Volunteer Engagement Manager, and others, to manage the effective succession planning for all committees.
- Manage the Board of Trustee and Congress induction programme and any ongoing training and development.
- Provide ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of the Board of Trustees and Congress.
Legal support
- Develop and maintain IChemE’s contract management procedures.
- Review contracts and advise colleagues on contractual terms.
- Liaise with IChemE’s external legal advisors for support as and when required with the review of or preparation of contracts and agreements.
Other information
This is a permanent full-time role based on 37.5 hours per week working Monday through to Friday, but a degree of flexibility will be required to meet business needs. The position is based in the Rugby UK office (CV21 3HQ).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Devices Co-ordinator to join the Clinical Asset Team. Your role is to support the Medical Devices Safety Engineer in pro-actively delivering maintenance responses, updating jobs on the CAFM system, ensuring compliance and asset management systems are up to date at all times.

Role Requirements
- Provide operational assistance to all matters pertaining to clinical assets including compliance, asset management, service management and lifecycle management.
- Ensure clinical assets onsite are compliant or taken out of service.
- Allocate jobs to the appropriate contractor, using CAFM systems to create a document trail and manage frequently broken items, escalating issues to the Medical Devices Safety Engineer as appropriate.
- Raise purchase orders as required, appropriately storing relevant documents accessible to the team with expenditure tracked and ensuring appropriate service contracts are in place.
- Updating compliance system with relevant documents for compliance and tracking purposes (including those for Therapy items)
- Participating in the CAWG (Clinical Asset Working Group) and chairing and minute taking in absence of the Medical Devices Safety Officer
- Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.
- First response to clinical asset jobs coming through to the Helpdesk, co-ordinating with clinical staff at the scene, ensuring the appropriate response is carried out.
- Ability to work under pressure and to make decisions and problem solve as issues arrive
- React to orders and PPMs and within set SLA timeline, ensuring ongoing monitoring. Supporting the Medical Devices Safety Engineer in development of new PPMs.
- Collate relevant data and assist with the weekly work order tracker report and assist in distribution to relevant stakeholders.

Purpose of the Role
The Food Sourcing and Gleaning Officer plays a key role in FareShare South West’s mission to reduce food waste and fight hunger across the South West. You will be responsible for developing FareShare South West’s network of local suppliers, increasing the number of donations of good to eat surplus food to the organisation. The role also includes a focus on gleaning, this is the mobilisation of volunteers to pick surplus farm crops to be sent out to our network of charities. This forms part of a gleaning pilot project that is happening in 2025-26.
As an ambassador for FareShare South West, you will provide excellent customer service to food suppliers and work closely with our operations and logistics team to ensure food is transported safely, efficiently, and with care.

Local Food Sourcing

Support delivery of the Local Food Sourcing Strategy to build a sustainable and expanding supply of local food. Complementing national food partners and matching this with the needs of a diverse Community Food Member base. Delivering a consistent supply of food throughout the year whilst adapting to seasonal fluctuations, and specific projects.

Research potential food sources by geography, type, and sector (retail, wholesale, producer, grower).
