The Catalyst Collective is an innovative and rapidly growing non-profit organisation. Since our pilot programme launched in January 2021, we have expanded significantly. As we enter our fourth year of operation, we are seeking an organised and proactive Programme Manager to play a pivotal role in driving our growth and ensuring the successful delivery of our mentoring programmes.

The Programme Manager will work closely with the Programme Director to lead and manage key components of our mentoring programme. This includes building strong relationships with mentors, mentees, and partner schools, as well as coordinating training, enrichment activities, and programme delivery. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, a passion for empowering young Black women, and the ability to foster a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

Mentee Recruitment and Induction

• Work closely with partner schools to finalise mentee cohorts.
• Visit schools to deliver induction sessions familiarising mentees with the programme.
• Lead mentor-matching sessions with support from Mentoring Coordinators.

Mentor Training and Onboarding

• Develop and deliver training sessions for mentors.
• Collaborate with the Recruitment Coordinator to ensure a diverse mentor pool.
• Support mentors to maximise the impact of their relationships.

Mentor Coordination

• Support a cohort of up to 30 mentoring pairs.
• Conduct monthly check-ins with each mentor.
• Facilitate mid and end-of-year reviews for mentoring pairs.

Enrichment Delivery and Planning

• Plan and deliver enrichment activities like career trips and work experience days.
• Evaluate the impact of enrichment activities and gather feedback.
• Collaborate with partners and vendors for enrichment events.

School Liaison

• Serve as the primary contact for partner schools.
• Regularly update schools on programme developments and mentee progress.

Safeguarding

• Act as a point of contact for safeguarding matters.
• Maintain accurate safeguarding records and ensure confidentiality.

Communications

• Produce a monthly mentor newsletter.
• Contribute to social media content.

Reporting

• Support the Programme Director in preparing updates for the Advisory Board and funders.
• Produce the End-of-year report showcasing the programme’s achievements.

Administration

• Review and approve in-person mentoring meeting requests.
• Conduct risk assessments.

Staff Management

• Line manage Mentoring Coordinators and the Programme Assistant.
• Provide task management to other team members as required.

Person Specification:

Essential Experience and Skills

• Proven experience in programme management, education, charity work, or volunteering.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including young people, schools, and professionals.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to groups.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Proficiency in IT tools and platforms, including Google Workspace, Zoom, and project management software.

Essential Knowledge

• Understanding of mentoring or coaching practices, especially for young people.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures.

New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. The Services Manager (Day Centre) is a brand new role for the organisation. They will work as part of the existing Youth Work Team to provide vital additional capacity and expertise to respond to the significantly increased demand we have been experiencing. This role is primarily focused on delivering our frontline day centre service each week. You will spend around 2-3 days per week frontline as our Duty Manager ensuring the smooth running of the day centre. You’ll also be responsible for coordinating our weekly rota, line managing the team, overseeing our Locums, Students and Volunteers programme, supporting with donations and day centre stock, and delivering staff training . You should be passionate about supporting young people who are unsafe or facing homelessness, be able to motivate a multi-disciplinary team of staff and have the energy to problem solve in a fast-paced environment on a daily basis. 

Salary: £37,024 - £41,600

Fundraising Development Manager

The Bike Project (TBP) is looking for a Fundraising Development Manager. This role will focus on gaining support from both corporate partners and major donors alongside line managing the Fundraising Executive. 

This is a key growth area for TBP, the post holder will have the opportunity to make the role their own leading their own income stream whilst being supported by the Head of Fundraising and CEO. The Bike Project has an entrepreneurial culture born out of our online and physical bike shop which raises considerable income on an annual basis. We are now keen to grow our trading further through developing a new bike servicing model. This role will lead the development and roll out of this service alongside developing traditional corporate partnerships and relationships with major donors.

Being a small charity, we work in an agile manner which allows for creative ideas to flourish and new ideas to be implemented quickly. We hold donation sessions weekly out of our London and Birmingham workshops, so there is opportunity to see the impact of your work first hand.

Dyscover is a small, specialist charity providing long term support and opportunities to adults with aphasia, a complex language disability. We are looking for an experienced Business Manager with a strong Fundraising and Marketing background to join our team.

· Experience raising income from a range of income streams particularly Trusts and Foundations also including skills in managing events, individual donors, legacy, corporate and community fundraising.

· Finance and Project management experience.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced marketing professional who wants to make an impact at a small organisation with their vision and innovation. You will work collaboratively with the wider Marketing, Fundraising, Operations and Education teams within the organisation. 

This role is a hyrbid role, with an expectation to be in the office 2 days per week.

The right candidate will be proactive, innovative, have strong communication skills, and a real desire to make a difference, ensuring that all breast cancers are diagnosed early and accurately. 

About CoppaFeel!

CoppaFeel! is the first breast cancer charity in the UK to create awareness amongst young people that checking their chest regularly could save their life. Our mission is to ensure all breast cancers are diagnosed early and correctly and we are about more than discovering a cancer diagnosis, we are about empowering ourselves to be proactive about our own health and body, as well as our outlook on life. It is about knowing your boobs and pecs and being confident that if you do find something, you know what to do.

Key Responsibilities

• Integral to growing brand awareness of CoppaFeel! amongst 18 - 24 year olds by repositioning CoppaFeel! as a youth charity brand that resonates with our Gen Z target audience and is future proofed for Gen Alpha. 
• Build out audience insights, audience segmentation and campaign targeting.
• Oversee all marketing outputs and plans related to paid media owning the execution and tracking. 
• Write briefs and manage timelines for design, social and external agencies.
• Support managing the relationships with PR, creative and media agencies.
• Drive innovative ideas forward that deliver cost effective results by monitoring audience insights, industry news and sector leading executions. 
• Lead on BCAM (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) marketing plans, working with other department leads (digital, social, ambassadors) to plan holistic activity that drives towards overall objectives. 
• Lead on events that support CoppaFeel!’s marketing activity i.e. photoshoots, launch events, driving awareness and presence at festivals etc. 
• Work in partnership with the full Marketing team to ensure strong executions and delivery of overall results. 

Skills, Knowledge, and Personal Attributes

• Demonstrable experience of working on multi-channel marketing campaigns.
• Experience in a marketing role and an understanding of marketing as a discipline.
• Able to deliver marketing strategies and plans, tailored to key audiences and work with others to execute. 
• Strong project management skills. 
• Highly organised with the ability to use initiative to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. 
• Desirable but not essential experience in event marketing. 
• Understanding of Gen Z/Alpha audiences and insights, and how these translate across digital and social channels. 
• Evidence of inspiring creativity. 
• Strong copywriting skills. 
• Passionate about social media and digital trends. 
• Driven individual who takes initiative and thrives in an ambitious environment.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative personality, comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders.
