About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Social Media Officer with a genuine passion for conversation, connection, and community to join our Digital Engagement Team.

As the Senior Social Media Officer, you will lead the delivery of the charity’s social media activity, as well as the paid boosting strategy of social media content across all platforms.

This is not a broadcasting role: it’s about fostering meaningful engagement with our supporters and raising the voices of young people and children with cancer.

This role is part of the Digital Engagement team, who are responsible for paid media, email marketing and organic social media activity. While social media will be the core focus of this role, experience in paid media and/or email marketing is desirable.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Lead the planning, development, and execution of the organisation’s social media strategy across all major platforms (eg TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and more).
• Lead the planning, development, and execution of the organisation’s paid boosting strategy of social media content across all major platforms, to deliver against comms team objectives (for example, Reach or Engagement KPIs month-on-month, or campaign-on-campaign).
• Lead the planning, development, and execution of our smaller paid media campaigns to deliver against briefed KPIs (eg Paid social, PPC; working on smaller conversion campaigns or awareness campaigns).
• Act as a brand and channel guardian, ensuring consistent voice, tone, messaging, and visual identity across all social content.
• Foster a supportive and engaging environment for our digital communities, responding to comments and engaging in discussions; escalate risks where appropriate.
• Deliver and maintain our social media moderation guidelines and rota.
• Oversee the content planning process and maintain a high quality content calendar, identifying gaps, opportunities, and content pipelines.

What do I need? 

The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:

• Proven experience managing and growing organisational social media channels, ideally across multiple audiences and markets. (Desirable: experience in the third sector).
• Demonstrable experience planning, delivering, and evaluating social media strategies and/or multi channel campaigns.
• Proven experience managing and executing paid media campaigns, ideally across multiple channels and campaign objectives (eg. Paid social conversion campaigns; mid-funnel PPC campaigns). (Desirable: experience in the third sector).
• Strong track record of community management, including moderating discussions, protecting online spaces, and managing sensitive or complex enquiries.
• Experience producing engaging content for different platforms (copy, static, video, audio, short form reels).
• Experience using analytics, social listening, and reporting tools to derive insights and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience project-managing the implementation of campaign tracking across various ad platforms and websites.

Product Marketing Coordinator

This role is critical in ensuring Dot Dot Dot’s property offer meets market demand, business needs, and our social mission.

You will manage key parts of the property product lifecycle - from defining value propositions and preparing properties for launch, through to marketing, viewings, and quality control. Working closely with Marketing and Services teams, you’ll help ensure our properties are well‑positioned, well‑presented, and successfully filled.

This is a varied, hands‑on role combining strategic thinking with operational delivery, and desk‑based work with regular visits to properties. You’ll be supported in role by our senior marketing coordinator and head of marketing and business development.

The fundamentals of the role

Marketing and sales enablement

• Develop property messaging, value propositions, and supporting materials.
• Ensure each property has strong visual assets, including photography, video, and written content.
• Create and maintain property information sheets for internal and external use.
• Coordinate property‑related communications, including Mailchimp viewing emails and location‑based social media content.

About the Role

The primary focus of the Grants Officer is to support schools and youth organisations to operate the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme effectively and to promote, grow and deliver this and other Jack Petchey Foundation (JPF) grant programmes across London and Essex. This role will be responsible for Districts across Essex and act as the lead for specific uniform groups who deliver their activities in Essex.

This is a new role created following a recent restructure of the Grants team. It is offered initially as a 12- month contract (0.6 FTE / 22.5 hours per week) to support the growth of our Achievement Award scheme across Essex, with the potential of an extension, following review and subject to available funding. The working days and working pattern will be discussed with the successful candidate, however, it is worth noting the role will require evening and weekend work, so we are seeking someone who can be work flexibly.

The Achievement Award Scheme is the Jack Petchey Foundation’s flagship programme, with more than 2,000 schemes being operated in more than 1,400 schools, colleges and youth organisations across London and Essex. This work will also require evenings and occasional weekend work, especially to carry out assessment and review visits with youth organisations and to participate in our Achievement Award celebration events.

The successful candidate would therefore be someone who has flexibility to travel, work out-of-office hours, enjoys building relationships and public speaking, as well as navigating a busy grants and assessment caseload (desk-based processing, telephone calls/emails, and daily use of a database). Evening and weekend work is a requirement of this role, which on occasion can require up to two to three out-of-hours events in one week, depending on the event schedule. These are seasonal events, primarily during term-time and time off in lieu will be granted for additional hours worked. This role could offer flexibility around school holidays.

2 Quality Assurance for the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme

2.1 Develop relationships with and support schools, alternative provision, and youth organisations on the Jack Petchey Achievement Award (AA) scheme to operate the scheme to the highest possible standard

2.2 Provide timely support to such organisations to enable them to run the AA scheme effectively

2.3 Implement a strategic approach to conducting face-to-face and digital assessment and monitoring visits to schools and youth organisations in your area on the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme, to ensure our funding is well spent and to identify opportunities to improve delivery

3 Administer the Jack Petchey Foundation grant making process

3.1 Ensure accurate records are kept on the Foundation’s database (Salesforce), including up-to-date contact details and records of communication with groups in receipt of or applying for grants

3.2 Approve/authorise payment of AA grants and related programmes in accordance with our policies

3.3 Ensure appropriate grant reporting by schools and youth organisations and negotiate return of funds where a grant has not been used in accordance with conditions

As our Facilities Manager, you'll be the person who makes the Academy hum, from keeping us legally compliant and structurally sound to leading capital projects, managing a network of contractors, and making sure every corner of the building reflects the ambition and energy of the community it serves.

What you'll be leading:

The Academy is a busy, multi-use space — and no two days are the same. You'll manage our cleaning team, oversee IT infrastructure, run our room hire offer, and work with the income generation team to grow commercial use of the space. About the role:

As a Hub Team Leader you will ensure the delivery of excellent services to victims, both adults and children and young people, in accordance with the service specification and performance targets.
