Role Overview:

The Warehouse & Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the safe, efficient and compliant operation of Hackney Foodbank’s warehouse and logistics functions. The role oversees stock management, procurement, facilities, vehicle operations, staff and volunteer coordination, and operational planning to ensure uninterrupted food distribution across Hackney.

As a senior leader within Hackney Foodbank, the postholder will contribute to organisational planning, continuous improvement, and the development of systems and partnerships that support the charity’s mission to create a hunger-free Hackney.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for the successful day-to-day management of the food bank warehouse.
• Line management of two warehouse staff, janitorial, and food distribution drivers.
• Collaborating with Volunteer Manager to ensure the warehouse always has sufficient volunteers, including volunteer drivers
• Leading and developing warehouse staff and volunteers through regular supervision, training and performance management.
• Setting and managing the food budget and reporting to the Head of Finance and CEO as required.
• Responsibility for purchasing, distributing, storing, sorting, and managing the food at Hackney Foodbank which align with demand trends and donation levels.
• Responsible for Health and Safety in the warehouse and attending Health and Safety Committee meetings.
• Ensuring compliance with food hygiene, food safety, manual handling and health & safety regulations.
• Maintaining warehouse risk assessments, safety procedures and compliance records.
• Leading on supplier relationships and negotiating value for money across food and operational purchasing.
• Collaborating with the Head of Fundraising to develop innovative and achievable corporate volunteer opportunities.
• Keeping records of all food movements in and out of the warehouse, using the Trussell Trust DCS system.
• Ensuring all food bank vehicles are maintained, roadworthy, insured and compliant
• Overseeing warehouse facilities management including maintenance coordination, contractor management, security and compliance checks.
• Collaborating with volunteers, staff, and other personnel using operational data to improve efficiency, reduce waste and support strategic planning.
• Working with a range of partners to source and distribute food,  and other household goods.
• Responsibility for submitting quarterly Board reports for the Trustees and weekly/monthly reports for the CEO and other interested personnel.
• Working with the wider Trussell Trust community to share best practice in warehouse management
• Collaborating with other team members to ensure the aims of the Hackney Foodbank are achieved.

Person Specification - Essential

•  Minimum of three years’ experience of warehouse management, including purchase and storage of food.
• Previous experience of working in a not-for-profit organisation, including recruiting, managing, and retaining volunteers
• Substantial previous experience of budget setting and budget management
• Excellent report writing and data reporting skills
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent team working skills, with ability to work across teams to get results and problem solve under pressure
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to create a continuous improvement environment and promote information-sharing across the organisation.
• Ability to contribute towards the strategic aims of the food bank.
• Proactive solution-based mindset to resolve a variety of challenges.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office 365 and other IT packages (with training)
• Ability to work flexibly, to meet the demands of the service, including evenings and weekends.
• Full clean UK driving license and confidence of driving transit style vans(5 years)

Job Summary 
 
To manage and ensure control of the funding, financial and corporate resources of the Charity to ensure a financially secure service, delivering value for money. 

Work with the Co-Directors to advise and develop the financial strategy, model new projects, prepare annual and project budgets, and report on financial performance, contributing to the overall future strategic direction of the Charity.

Manage the day-to-day finances for the Charity. Ensure all aspects of the financial systems are accurate and up to date, including banking, sales and purchase ledgers, payroll and cash management.

The postholder is expected to foster excellent working relationships with all staff, volunteers, senior colleagues and trustees.

Day to Day Financial Management 

• Regularly review and maintain financial policies and procedures. 

• Review the monthly reconciliations carried out by the SFAO thereby ensuring all transactions are properly and efficiently recorded. 

• Oversee the management and appropriate allocation of Restricted Funds, ensuring the monies are allocated according to the donor’s wishes and ensure that records are always maintained 

• Regularly review and make recommendations for improvements to financial controls and ensuring methods are documented and made clear to staff.

• Support with funding bids and reports back to donors 

• Management of all charity bank accounts, acting as authorised signatory with Banks 

Payroll, Pensions and Tax Management 

• Supervise the payroll process carried out by SFAO 

• Responsible for the effective management Charity’s Pension Scheme

• Ensure payments to HMRC are made accurately and on time, and ensure all available allowances are claimed. 

Budget Process Management 

• Take the lead on preparing the Annual Budget, working closely with SLT to capture all spending plans Develop and run a process which is thorough, consistent and inclusive of all managers. 

• Alongside the Co-Director, present the Draft Budget to Board for approval 

• Present monthly management accounts and Cost Centre reports for all managers

• Work closely with all SLT to ensure they fully understand their budgets and ongoing organisational performance against budget 

• Monitor variations against spend and integrate within an overall Cashflow analysis 

• Recommend corrective actions to Co- Directors and/or Board as necessary 

Statutory Reporting & Charity compliance 

• Act as lead member of staff with the Charity’s Auditors 

• Oversee the preparation of the Annual Accounts plus any supporting papers required to enable an efficient and effective annual audit to take place

• Provide up-to-date dashboards and reports of the financial position, projections and scenarios, considering the financial implications of alternative business models, advice on new and current business income generation initiatives and analysis of financial risk and performance. 

• Work with the Co-Directors, to ensure that the appropriate processes are in place for the long-term financial viability of the charity, advising on the financial consequences of proposed actions 
   

Governance support to FING Committee and Trustees 

• Assist the Chair of FING Committee (Treasurer) 

• Prepare all associated papers and minutes 

• Prepare finance papers for Treasurer to deliver to Board of Trustees 

• Attend Board of Trustees meetings and present information as requested 
   

General 

• Postholder to adhere to their relevant Code of Ethics as laid down by their professional body, being mindful that adherence to the code takes precedence over charity policy and practice should a conflict ever arise. [NB Sections A + C of the current professional code are applicable.]

• Keep abreast of financial developments across the charity sector and ensure any opportunities for tax reliefs, cost reduction, value for money and more effective systems are seized as appropriate.

Essential 

• Minimum part qualified accountant or qualified by experience with strong financial management experience, with an ability to understand the practical impact of finance decisions and processes across the whole charity. 

• Specialist knowledge of Charities required, including Charity SORP guidance and procedures, underpinned by strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience. 

• Ability to work with the Co-directors to lead the formulation of long-term financial plans and strategies which will influence the long-term direction of the charity. 

• Experience in developing major finance policy development. 

• Experience in budgeting and financial planning.

• Experience in management accounting. 

• Ability to receive, process and provide highly complex or sensitive financial information including ability to analyse and clearly communicate financial information.

• Strong IT skills including the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel, and experience of using databases.

The Data Selections Manager leads the data selections function in the Data and Analytics team, ensuring data selections are scheduled, developed, tested and checked, and delivered in accordance with the agreed brief and deadlines.  In addition, this role includes the line management of a Data Selections and Reporting Officer.  You will be backfilling the duties of the existing Data Selections Manager for 12-months as they are part of the project team delivering Salesforce Marketing Cloud to ARUK.

This is an exciting time to join ARUK as we are in the process of an organisation-wide change to our Digital, Data and IT processes and services.  There is the opportunity to revolutionise how ARUK conducts data selections as we seek to increase the sophistication of our marketing activity and deliver an excellent supporter experience.

Key Responsibilities:

· Help the Data Selections Team to deliver team and personal goals whilst ensuring appropriate development plans and opportunities are in place

· Responsible for ensuring all data selections are produced in an accurate, consistent and timely fashion, in accordance with agreed data selection briefs and deadlines

· Manage the scheduling of delivering data selections to ensure there is clarity on what data selections are upcoming, to manage any potential clashes and to plan and prioritise the workload

· Develop an excellent process and structure for delivering data selections that guarantees their consistency and accuracy

· Work with stakeholders to ensure data selection briefs are completed correctly, definitions are clarified, and the final selection meets the criteria outlined in the brief

· Work with the Business Intelligence Manager to identify insight-driven recommendations for campaign planning, and to ensure testing within data selections is valid and robust

· Attend end of campaign meetings, and lead on the presentation of results and test outcomes and feedback on process improvements

· Work with the Business Intelligence Manager to drive forward innovations in data selections, such as using propensity models to identify the right supporters to communicate with

· Continually seek to improve the data selection process with the aim of automating and streamlining to improve the accuracy of selections

· Lead on the implementation of a campaign planning process focussed on driving improvement in selection results through data-informed decision-making

· Play a leading role in the planning of the calendar to manage communication activities

· Provide advice and guidance to teams on the implications of Data Protection Legislation for data selections and ensure all data selections comply with this legislation

· Work with the Business Intelligence and Data Management functions of the team to ensure the necessary data is being captured to enable campaign analysis to be conducted

· Work with 3rd parties to ensure the timely and secure transfer of data selection files

· Provide training and assistance to stakeholders to assist them in following the data selection process

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

· Experience of leading and developing a team of technical experts, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities and driving high performance

· Extensive experience of using large relational databases and analysis packages and working with large and complex datasets

· An excellent working knowledge of SQL

· Experience of building complex queries and producing data selections from a database package or through SQL querying

· Excellent knowledge of data protection legislation and its application in marketing

· Track record of delivering high quality work

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

We are recruiting a Clinically Led Team Manager to support mobilisation of a brand-new pilot in North Essex. The service will provide targeted support to individuals who frequently present to A&E in mental health crisis, following self-harm, suicide attempt or suicidal ideation. This is a leadership role for an experienced mental health or social care professional. You will combine operational management with clinical oversight to ensure safe, evidence-based and trauma-informed crisis interventions.

Salary of £28,500 - £31,500 per annum, pro rata. Starting salary will be dependent on whether the successful candidate holds relevant mental health or social care qualification.

The Role

As team manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the pilot. You will lead a small team to deliver high standards of practice, safe risk management, develop effective pathways between hospital and community teams, and maintain strong alignment with Phoenix Futures’ values and organisational priorities.

You will have oversight of data quality, reporting and performance management in order to demonstrate the impact of the pilot to commissioners and wider stakeholders.

The pilot will focus on Colchester General Hospital A&E department, and the role will be based in our Colchester office, although travel may be required across North Essex to ensure effective service delivery.

This role requires confidence and professional judgement.

About You

You will be a qualified and experienced mental health of social care professional who is confident working with high-risk, complex presentations. You will bring credibility within multi-disciplinary settings and be motivated by the opportunity to shape and lead a new crisis service at the interface between hospital and community care.

To join us a Team Manager you will have:

• A recognised professional qualification in mental health or social care (desirable)
• Experience supporting people with complex needs within mental health, social work, substance use, or related services
• Experience of managing and supporting staff, ideally within a frontline or clinical environment
• A strong understanding of risk management, safeguarding, and multi-agency working
• The confidence to make sound professional judgements when working with high-risk presentations
• The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with partner agencies, including NHS services, adult social care, and treatment providers
• Experience of monitoring performance and reporting data to managers and commissioners
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance operational demands with quality and safety

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Confidence using Microsoft Outlook and Word, with familiarity in database or case-management systems

As a Project Manager – Research Systems, you will lead a high-impact project that transforms how Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association research grants are processed. In this role, you will take ownership from day one, guiding a complex system project from design through to implementation, while enabling colleagues and partners to adopt new ways of working with confidence. Your work as a Project Manager will improve how research funding operates, strengthening collaboration and helping ensure progress in research development and innovation for MND is supported effectively.

At the MND Association, you will play a central role in delivering change for the Research Management System and a number of priority projects across the organisation. The MND Association is focused on improving outcomes for people affected by MND, and as a Project Manager, your contribution will directly support that aim.

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead end-to-end delivery of the Research Management System and other priority projects
• Lead the end-to-end procurement process, including Request for Proposal development and supplier evaluation
• Oversee project governance, plans, RAID logs and reporting to stakeholders
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure delivery meets scope, time and quality
• Map and improve research funding processes with key teams
• Ensure integration, data, security and technical requirements are met
• Oversee system design, testing and readiness for go-live
• Deliver change management, training and adoption support
• Track milestones, budgets and risks, ensuring effective delivery

About You 

• Recognised project management qualification (PRINCE2, APM PMQ or equivalent)
• Experience working on or leading change initiatives and adoption of refreshed operational practices
• Proven experience delivering technology projects as a Project Manager or similar
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Experience managing suppliers and stakeholders
• Skilled in producing clear project documentation
• Confident communicator across all levels

The Role 

The Finance Manager will have responsibility for and oversight of the financial management within Dog Aid Scotland, reporting directly to the Chief Executive. • Strategic finance and business leadership, responsible for all of charities accounts and financial processes
• Financial planning and budgeting, including putting together budgets, producing forecasts and management accounts
• Working closely with CEO on long term financial planning that aligns and enables wider charity strategy
• Compliance, systems and controls, including oversight of Xero accounting system and ensuring compliance with charity financial regulations
