For Us Too (Thanet, Canterbury and Swale) is a local parent driven charity providing information, support and family focused social events for children with disabilities and their families.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Manager to lead this local parent driven Charity.

You will be responsible for leading the team of Family support officers and volunteers with the varied activities that the Charity provides, particularly regarding our supporting education program and supporting families with guidance on all aspects of their child’s wellbeing.

If you have relevant knowledge and/or experience of working within the area of children with disabilities and families, have experience of leading a team, are well organised, flexible and able to work with a range of professional/external agencies we would like to hear from you.

About the Role

Working as an integral part of the ED Navigator team, our successful candidate will identify and assess young victims of violence and provide a comprehensive and holistic assessment, advice, referral and support service, exploring innovative and effective ways of supporting them which will reduce their risk of re-victimisation.

You will produce support and risk management plans based on assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, which will include providing practical help such as social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, ETE options and appearing in court. We will also count on you to develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies and to close cases efficiently and positively, identifying a referral route for the client that will identify agencies that can be used for ongoing support.

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families

• Experience in working as part of a multi-agency team

• Experience of using support plans, to enable people to successfully access support services

• To have a relevant qualification to a good standard or be working towards one

Salary: £50,000 to £56,000 pa + benefits

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our children’s home, supporting young people aged 13 – 17. This is a leadership role, but we are also very happy to consider experienced Senior Practitioners or Keyworkers with supervisory experience who are ready to step into management.

You will lead and inspire a team of Practitioners, ensuring care is always unconditional, trauma-informed, compassionate, and high quality. You’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted Quality Standards, while promoting a culture of love, kindness, authenticity, and professional integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision of staff, promoting a supportive and reflective culture
• Ensure practice is trauma-informed, nurturing, and responsive to young people’s needs
• Support staff development through coaching, supervision, and performance management
• Contribute to care planning, risk management, and multi-agency working
• Uphold professional boundaries while modelling high standards of practice
• Lead on group and individual activities to support young people’s emotional, social, and educational development

About this key role

Our successful candidate will focus on supporting the delivery of trauma-informed, co-produced, and developmentally appropriate interventions across Poverty and VEX services.  You will be expected to build strong local partnerships with statutory and voluntary agencies, representing St Giles in regional networks and multi-agency forums, plus provide line management, supervision, and coaching to up to eight practitioners working across dispersed locations, which will also include acting as safeguarding lead for your team.

We will count on you to drive performance against KPIs, contractual outcomes, and quality standards, using data and client feedback to inform service development, and to support service reviews, audits, and quality improvement initiatives across both pillar areas.  Supporting recruitment, induction, and training for staff across the Wales and South-West region is also a key aspect of this role.

What we are looking for

•  In-depth knowledge and experience of implementing safeguarding policy and legislation affecting children, young people, and adults at risk, including in cross-border (England/Wales) contexts
• Proven ability to lead and manage diverse and geographically dispersed teams in complex, high-pressure environments across multiple contracts and thematic areas
• Strong understanding of the drivers of poverty, violence, and exploitation and the systems that shape exclusion
• Experience using quality assurance frameworks, audits, and data to drive service improvement
• Familiarity with contract management, KPIs, and performance frameworks
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, verbal and written
• A professional, collaborative and flexible approach to your work
