Established in 1996, Dialogue School Counselling is a BACP accredited school counselling service covering Sussex and Surrey.

We are recruiting for an experienced and qualified School Counsellor on a permanent basis at our well-established Dialogue School Counselling service at Felpham Community College in Felpham, Bognor Regis. You will be working with a range of clients within the Dialogue Thresholds and working to a 6-8 session model. You will be working alongside another experienced Dialogue School Counsellor and working closely with the Student Services Pastoral team at the college.

Key responsibilities

• Run a suitable appointment system flexible to the needs of the school, offering students appropriate assessments and counselling appointments
• Manage the tight time boundaries of the role and the often complex and varied workload
• Liaise with school staff over referrals, waiting lists and appointments
• Carry out initial clinical and risk assessments and establish appropriate referral pathways with other services where appropriate. Continually assess risk throughout each student’s counselling.
• Follow YMCA Dialogue safeguarding procedures; to know who the School’s Designated Safeguarding Officer/s is and how to contact them when a safeguarding concern arises
• Work at all times within the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions
•  Maintain individual membership of the BACP and to become a Registered Member (or other professional body such as HCPC)
• You will establish good professional working relationships with key school staff

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

• You will have a Counselling or Psychotherapy qualification, minimum Level four and ideally level six, and two years’ post qualifying experience in individual counselling or therapy with young people. This will include working with risk issues
• You will also have a sound understanding of child protection and vulnerable adult safeguarding issues, policies, and procedures
• You will have proven experience in safeguarding children and young people, responding to, managing, and referring safeguarding issues
• You will have a BACP Membership; BACP Registered or Accredited. Or other professional body e.g. HCPC
• You will have a keen interest in working with children and will be familiar with using creative therapeutic approaches, along with experience of working in a school setting

To provide a high quality and victim/survivor-focused advocacy service to CYP who have been subjected to sexual violence, abuse, sexual exploitation and/or coercion, in order to:

• Provide emotional and practical support, at every stage of the victim/survivor journey
• Pro-actively and assertively advocate for those who have reported to the Police, are thinking of doing so, or choose not to report (safeguarding guidelines will be followed at all times).
• Ensure that the voices, needs, rights and legal entitlements of children and young people are heard, understood and acted upon by all individuals and organisations.
• Following safeguarding assessments and reduce risk to keep children and young people (and others) safe
• Ensure that victims/survivors can access the health and other support services that they need.
• Support the work of the CYP ISVA Team, and the wider ISVA Team (Adult, LGBT, Sex Worker and Race and Equality ISVAs) which may include working within Umbrella sexual health settings and other appropriate services as required.
• Work closely with our Counselling and Wellbeing Services Teams.

We are the largest sexual violence support provider in Wales, with 30 years’ experience of delivering specialist therapeutic support to adults and children affected by the trauma of rape, sexual assault or sexual abuse.

PURPOSE OF THE POST

To provide administrative support and to ensure the efficient day to day running of the office. This post has a strong emphasis on client support and engagement.

GENERAL

• Liaise with clients, counsellors and volunteers by telephone, Microsoft teams etc.

• Co-ordinate counselling timetables.
• Maintain records, both written and computerised.
• Ensure an effective system of communication exists between clients, counsellors and volunteers.
• Word processing of letters, reports and other documents.
• Undertake relevant training, as required.
• General clerical tasks including photocopying, filing, etc.
• Complete routine health& safety checks.
• Order stationery and other supplies.

FOODBANK FUNDRAISER (INDIVIDUALS AND EVENTS)

Oasis Hub Waterloo co-develops and co-delivers a wide range of integrated community services including a community centre, primary and secondary Academies, adult and further education opportunities, early years support, a Foodbank, advice services, a community farm, and well developed and diverse programmes for young people.

Purpose of job

This new role will lead on Individual and Events fundraising for Oasis Hub Waterloo with a focus on securing funds for Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank and our associated Advice services. This will include developing our awareness and capacity to gain income from High-Net-Worth Individuals, Events and Legacies.

his role provides excellent administrative support across two departments in the Diocese of Coventry offices:

• The Ministry & Leadership team provides learning, training and development for volunteer Christian leaders across Coventry and Warwickshire. (The role holder is based in this team, and most of their working time is focussed there.)

• Website administration. (Half a day each week will be committed to this.)

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the Lay Learning & Training Lead to administrate learning and training Programmes across Coventry Diocese.

• Administration of ‘Pathways’ training programmes:
  • booking, and liaising with, event venues
  • setting up Zoom meetings
  • administrating the annual programme
  • processing data re people’s training progress
  • point of contact for programme participants
  • supporting training deliverers
  • other administrative support
• Provide administrative support to the Ministry & Leadership team as and when required.

Keeping the diocesan website up to date.

• updating information, text and images
• liaising with content providers

Being generous with all that God has given us is Biblical, is a key Spiritual practice and is an essential factor in growing healthy churches. As a diocese we are seeking to promote a culture of generosity to further the good work already happening in our churches.

We are looking for someone who is able to encourage others in the important relationship between generous giving and mission and can help churches across the Diocese to develop and demonstrate a culture of generosity and how to align their resources with the Diocese’s vision and mission of their church.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Generous Giving Enabler are:

The post holder will work closely with the Discipleship and Mission team, Director of Finance, clergy and lay leaders to develop and implement a comprehensive Giving Strategy which

• encourages confident teaching and preaching on Christian generosity and giving and supports our churches in developing their congregational giving.
• communicates the positive impact and practical costs of providing mission and ministry across the diocese, and the way in which this is funded through the parish share
• support parishes in accessing other sources of funding, including charitable funding and legacy giving and by providing access to training and resources.
• makes effective use of statistical information on parish giving and finance, and trends in diocesan and national giving

What we are looking for in a Generous Giving Enabler:

To fulfil this crucial role, you must have a committed Christian faith and be passionate about helping Christians understand and live out the call to be generous. Public speaking skills and the ability to lead training courses are also essential as is the ability to understand Church finances and familiarity with fundraising and income generation.  

It is an Occupational Requirement (Schedule 9 part 1 of the Equality Act 2010) of this post to have a committed Christian faith” as this role requires personal experience and knowledge of Christian Spirituality.
