The Support Team Leader will provide operational leadership for ORL's Housing Support Team, ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, wellbeing and successful move-on.

The postholder will lead and develop Support Workers, oversee support planning, safeguarding, case management, partnership working and quality assurance, and ensure services meet organisational values, contractual requirements and sector best practice.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and People Management

· Lead, motivate, supervise and develop Support Workers through regular supervision, appraisals, induction, mentoring and learning support.

· Manage rotas, annual leave, service cover and staff wellbeing, promoting reflective practice and a positive, inclusive team culture.

· Ensure staff understand and follow organisational policies, procedures and quality standards.

· Oversee assessments, risk assessments and person-centred support plans, ensuring they are outcome-focused, regularly reviewed and accurately recorded.

· Promote independence, wellbeing, resident choice, tenancy sustainment and successful move-on planning.

· Ensure support reflects trauma-informed, strengths-based and psychologically informed practice.

· Review case files, audit support plans and ensure the Case Management System is used consistently and compliantly.

· Monitor outcomes, performance indicators and service trends, producing reports for senior managers, supporters and funders as required.

· Identify areas for improvement and contribute to service development and best practice.

· Promote safeguarding across the service and ensure concerns, incidents and investigations are managed promptly and appropriately.

· Support staff with complex or high-risk situations, ensuring robust risk management, professional boundaries, lone working and positive risk-taking where appropriate.

· Oversee referrals, admissions, occupancy, move-in and move-on arrangements across supported accommodation.

· Work with the Property & Compliance Team on repairs, property standards, licence agreements, rent arrears and tenancy sustainment.

Partnerships, Volunteers and Compliance

· Develop effective partnerships with agencies, volunteers and internal teams to improve resident outcomes and service delivery.

· Support volunteer induction and positive volunteer engagement, ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are understood.

· Promote compliance with health and safety, GDPR, organisational policies, legislation and emergency procedures.

Finance and General Duties

· Manage resources responsibly, maintain accurate financial records and support budget, rent and Housing Benefit processes in line with ORL procedures.

· Attend meetings, undertake required training, maintain confidentiality and promote the values and reputation of One Roof Leicester.

· Undertake other duties reasonably required by the Deputy CEO.

Additional Information

 · The role requires regular travel between One Roof Leicester properties and partner organisations.

· Occasional evening or weekend work and some manual handling may be required.

· The postholder must undertake training appropriate to the role and participate in an on-call rota should one be introduced.

Essential Criteria

• A commitment to the aims of the National Institute of Teaching. 
• Educated to level 7 or higher, with experience of academic reading and writing at Level 7 or higher.
• Experience of designing materials for NPQs, ECTP, initial teacher training, PGCE or other higher education programmes.
• A proven track record/a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the development of educational materials, including presentations, e-learning material, checklists, participant guides, and other materials used in training and development.

Working towards a promotion to Manager within 6 months, you will then also provide leadership to the Preston office team, being responsible for the management and Recruitment Consultant responsibilities for 70% of your role.

Duties and Tasks

There are four main areas of work, all of which are vital to achieving the key positive outcome for the individuals we support: sustained meaningful employment.

1. New Employer Engagement

Expanding our network of employers to generate a regular flow of job opportunities, allowing us to place our candidates into work.

This will require new business development and excellent ongoing relationship management. You will identify which jobs are most sought after by our typical candidates and which are more specialist or occasional opportunities. Equally, you will gravitate towards employers who demonstrate agility and responsiveness in their hiring processes. Your client contacts are more likely to be business owners, divisional managers and site supervisors than social value or EDI teams.

You will:

• Proactively approach local employers who are advertising paid jobs that could suit current candidates on our books, for example through online searching using keywords for skills and industry sectors, sending over candidate details with the goal of obtaining recruitment instructions and securing interviews.
• Speculatively approach organisations that are not currently recruiting but are likely to have suitable vacancies in the future that match the typical skillsets of our candidates.
• Maintain a follow-up database of active and prospective clients and take ownership of industry sectors or geographical areas, in consultation with colleagues, to avoid duplication and maximise reach.
• Visit employers to explain our services, answer questions around protocols for interviewing or hiring ex-offenders and gain a clear understanding of the workplace environment, travel routes and employer requirements.
• Select and submit candidates who you consider suitable for vacancies, advocating for each individual based on your knowledge of them, their references, and the positive changes and efforts you have witnessed.
• Be prepared to positively challenge employer assumptions where you believe reluctance to consider a candidate is unfounded.
• Disclose the candidate’s offending history and risk profile, emphasising their personal attributes and work strengths.
• Guide employers through the interview and hiring process in close consultation with the candidate.

2. Job Finder Support

Interviewing ex-offenders, offering one-to-one job coaching to help them into work and providing ongoing mentoring during their first 12 months of employment.

Ours is a face-to-face, holistic and wraparound service that culminates in our candidates finding good jobs that last, with a wide array of socially inclusive employers. Our job finder support can begin in custody and continue through the gate into the community, or start within the community. Typically, we work with an individual for between one and three months to establish work readiness and continue supporting them for up to a year after they secure employment. Many people remain in touch and return to us for subsequent jobs over a period of years, and we consider our door to always be open.

You will:

• Conduct one-to-one assessments with job-seeking candidates and, using your professional judgement, either accept them directly into our paid-work search services or refer them to partner organisations for pre-employability support where barriers such as substance misuse or homelessness remain significant.
• Work with candidates over several weeks and months as a job mentor, meeting regularly to support all aspects of their job search.
• Help craft effective CVs and disclosure letters, ensuring candidates understand the facts and disclosure obligations relating to their spent and unspent convictions.
• Check that candidates have the correct Right to Work documentation and arrange replacement birth certificates and National Insurance letters where required.
• Book candidates onto relevant third-party training courses, including CSCS cards, HGV driver training and renewable energy qualifications.
• Encourage candidates’ own job search activity, including teaching them how to use online job boards and supporting them to complete online application forms.
• Submit candidates for opportunities available through our network of inclusive employers and proactively seek additional vacancies on their behalf.
• Organise interviews, ensuring candidates have the means to travel and appropriate interview clothing, providing support where required.
• Follow up after interviews, helping candidates manage expectations, process outcomes and rebuild confidence where applications have been unsuccessful.
• Confirm job starts with both candidate and employer, ensuring candidates have access to any required workwear and support with travel-to-work costs.
• Provide practical support where needed, including food parcels, hygiene packs, pre-loaded SIM cards, clothing and utility top-ups.

In-Work Support

After employment begins, there can often be unforeseen challenges facing newly employed candidates, particularly recent prison leavers. These may be practical, emotional or lifestyle-related. The strongest opportunity to advocate for a candidate and help sustain employment comes from having built trusted relationships with both the individual and their employer.

You will:

• Advise employers on successfully onboarding new employees during their first few weeks and months in work.
• Help employers understand and accommodate any additional support needs, such as housing transitions, medical requirements or probation appointments.
• Be aware of and navigate any negative Google or media reporting about a candidate’s previous offending, including advising on measures to protect privacy and reputation where appropriate.
• Remain in regular contact with candidates during their first 12 months in employment through check-in calls and meetings.
• Record all candidate and employer interactions and outcome reporting on the Itris recruitment CRM database.

3. Management of the Preston Team (Within Six Months)

You will:

• Line manage and develop the Preston office’s Recruitment Consultants, Trainee Recruitment Consultants and Resourcer, leading by example across business development and candidate support activities.
• Run the Preston office efficiently and effectively, ensuring the charity can carry out its work and, alongside the Operations Director, help develop, agree and implement business, operational and annual plans.
• Identify appropriate methods for monitoring office performance and report regularly to the Operations Director on performance against business, operational and annual plans and budget expectations.
• Ensure the office is aware of best practice and consistently works to achieve this within the constraints set by the Trustees and available resources.
• Facilitate regular group clinical supervision sessions for yourself and all team members.

4. External and Internal Relations

You will:

• Maintain and extend a network of referral partners who can direct candidates to us for job finder support, including charities, Jobcentres, probation services and police teams.
• Cultivate these relationships through regular visits, communication and updates.
• Assist in developing the charity’s local public profile and foster positive relationships with government, statutory, voluntary, private sector and other external stakeholders.
• Monitor changes in the external environment that may affect the charity, proactively advising the Operations Director and taking appropriate action where necessary.

This role forms part of the Exeter Crisis & Resilience Fund partnership, delivered by Navigate, Churches Housing Action Team (CHAT) and Encompass Southwest – the collaboration is known as Wis£rmoney. Together, we provide a seamless service that supports residents from immediate financial crisis through to long-term resilience. Our partnership combines specialist money and debt advice, welfare benefits advice, housing support, homelessness prevention, trauma-informed practice and financial education to provide holistic support for people experiencing financial hardship. Rather than asking people to navigate multiple services, we work together to ensure they receive the right support at the right time, through a coordinated 'No Wrong Door' approach. 

The Crisis & Resilience Fund Team Leader will lead the delivery of the Exeter Crisis & Resilience Service, providing operational leadership to a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, person-centred support to residents experiencing financial hardship, crisis and multiple disadvantage. The postholder will line manage Navigate's Client Liaison Officers and the Money Advice Caseworkers employed by partners Churches Housing Action Team (CHAT) and Encompass Southwest to ensure a seamless, coordinated service that supports individuals from immediate financial crisis through to long term resilience. As Navigate's operational lead for the contract, the Team Leader will foster strong partnership working, maintain effective communication across organisations and ensure clients experience a consistent 'No Wrong Door' approach. Alongside leadership responsibilities, the postholder will manage a small caseload of complex clients, delivering FCA-regulated debt advice, welfare benefits advice, advocacy and holistic financial resilience support. They will provide guidance and oversight for complex casework, ensuring clients receive timely, flexible interventions tailored to their individual circumstances.

The Team Leader will champion Wis£rmoney’s relationship-based, trauma-informed approach, recognising that financial hardship rarely exists in isolation. By supporting staff to build trusted relationships with clients, remove barriers to engagement and address the wider issues affecting financial wellbeing, the role will help residents achieve sustainable financial stability, independence and resilience. The postholder will also be responsible for ensuring the service meets all contractual, regulatory and quality requirements, monitoring performance, driving continuous improvement and embedding innovative ways of working that enhance client outcomes while maintaining the personalised support that is central to the service model.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Service Management

• Manage a small caseload of clients with complex financial circumstances requiring specialist intervention.
• Deliver FCA-regulated debt advice, welfare benefits advice, budgeting support, income maximisation and advocacy.
• Develop personalised support plans that address both immediate financial crisis and longer-term resilience.
• Negotiate with creditors, landlords, utility providers and statutory agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
• Support clients to access appropriate debt solutions, including Debt Relief Orders and bankruptcy where appropriate. 

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Ensure all advice delivered by Wis£rmoney meets FCA requirements, Advice Quality Standard expectations and organisational policies.
• Carry out regular case reviews, file audits and quality assurance checks to maintain consistently high standards.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of casework using AdvicePro and associated digital systems.
• Promote excellent information governance, GDPR compliance and safeguarding practice throughout the service.
• Support preparation for contract monitoring, audits and quality inspections.

Partnership Working

• Act as Navigate's operational lead within the Exeter Crisis & Resilience Fund partnership.
• Work collaboratively with Churches Housing Action Team, Encompass Southwest, Exeter City Council and other partner organisations to deliver a coordinated 'No Wrong Door' service.
• Build strong relationships with local agencies to improve referral pathways and client outcomes.
• Represent Wis£rmoney at partnership meetings, operational groups and multi-agency forums.

Service Delivery and Performance

• Ensure timely allocation of referrals according to client need, complexity and risk.

• Promote safe working practices for staff delivering home visits, outreach and community-based support.

The role

You will work alongside them, providing the qualified oversight, payment control and monthly discipline that keep the finance function running well, and supporting their development along the way.

It is a varied role that combines hands-on accuracy with oversight and coaching. In practice, you will:

• Support, guide and coach our accountant so that accounting entries are made correctly and consistently, building their skills over time.

• Run payment preparation and approval process in the UK entity, approving payment runs for release by local signatories.

• Financial management of project funds: accounting, expense management, funds transfers and accurate financial reporting.

• Review monthly results and report, examining the Statement of Financial Activities and underlying entries, and tracking performance against budget.

• Own the budgeting process, maintaining and updating the existing annual budget and monitoring it each month, and reporting quarterly to funders.

• Run a reliable monthly close and provide cover for our accountant during leave or absence to keep the accounting running.

• Lead on risk, taking an active interest in risk assessment, management and internal financial controls, working with compliance officer for local regulatory compliance.

• Attend and co-ordinate the finance and development meeting, support Companies House and Charity Commissions returns and updates.

• Administrative support for grant applications and management of these.

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CIPFA), or a finalist with strong relevant experience.

• Right to work in the UK.

• Proficient in Xero, and either proficient in Joiin or a similar consolidation system such as Hyperion and able to learn it quickly. Familiarity with payment platforms (desirable).

• Sound understanding of payment controls, dual authorisation and segregation of duties.

• Experience of maintaining a budget and reviewing monthly performance against it.

• Detail-focused and hands-on, with the judgement to review, oversee and coach a colleague.

• Charity or non-profit experience is useful but not essential, including experience of managing project funds, expenses and reporting to funders.

The Role

The Regional Programme Director — Asia will provide strategic leadership for the development and delivery of Barnabas Aid's grant making and project management across the Asia Region. You will lead and develop a team of Programme Managers, build and sustain a strong partner network, and oversee a portfolio of high-quality, biblically grounded projects that deliver measurable impact for persecuted and suffering Christians.

As a member of both the Programmes Leadership Team and the Strategic Leadership Team, you will contribute to BAI's global Programmes strategy and to organisational strategy, culture, and effective cross-departmental working.

Key Responsibilities

Regional strategy and portfolio leadership

• In collaboration with the International Chief Programmes Officer, lead the development, review, and implementation of the global Programmes strategy within the assigned Region, translating strategic priorities into a clear regional plan and pipeline.
• Maintain a balanced regional portfolio aligned with organisational priorities, donor intent, and restricted fund requirements.
• Identify emerging needs, risks, and opportunities in the Region and recommend strategic responses, including new initiatives and partnerships.

Grant making and programme cycle management

• Oversee project implementation across the regional portfolio, including milestone tracking, reporting, learning, and close-out, ensuring records are maintained accurately and on time.

Leadership and people management

Housing and Compliance

The Youth Theatre and Learning Manager position sits within the award-winning Learning team with two primary areas of responsibility:

The service is designed to increase the capacity of ACH communities to harness potential, identify and support children and young people’s mental health needs, and to establish a clear pathway into direct support.

Main responsibilities

As a therapist you will be responsible for undertaking assessments, delivering 1-1, time limited, outcome focussed sessions with young people for up to 24 weeks (depending on their assessment evaluation) and evaluating therapeutic interventions for young people. About the Role

The Street Engagement Team works across the West End/Westminster with people experiencing street homelessness and interconnecting needs (substance dependency, mental/physical health, criminal justice involvement, unclear immigration status etc.). This is done by delivering a support offer that is person-led, wrap-around, and focussed on building relationships by meeting people where they are at. 

Working with the Service Manager, you will manage a team of staff and support the development of a team that is dynamic, innovative, and responsive to the changing needs of the wider environment and the people that use The Connections services. The services operational delivery will include a range of functions that are both street based and building based, such as outreach and in-reach, casework, supporting the wider delivery of CSTMs functions such as essential services, and managing and developing partnerships that supplement the support offer we have for the people that use our services. 

You will have substantial experience in delivering person-led, psychologically, gender and culturally informed services to people who are street homeless. You will have the personal credibility to build confidence in the wider community and with partnerships. You will be both strength-based and solution-focused, developing and enhancing the service with a commitment to embed coproduction. You will also be committed to the values of CSTM (Curious, Safe, Together and Motivated) and will be able to champion approaches that are aligned to this (trauma informed, pre-treatment, harm reduction etc.)

Through compassionate and proactive management, you will help build a high performing, well organised and creative team who are passionate about supporting very vulnerable people away from the streets and getting their needs met.

Salary: £41,599 - £45,097 (Spine Point 26-30)
