About this role

As a Team Lead your responsibilities would include:

• Provide day-to-day leadership, motivating and empowering the team to thrive.
• Recruit, develop, and support staff in line with Carers First policies.
• Foster a positive culture of continuous learning, role-modelling best practice.
• Ensure quality through record checks, accurate database input, KPI monitoring, and effective workflow allocation.
• Work in co-production with carers to identify needs, develop solutions, and shape services.
• Identify service gaps, create new initiatives, and seek additional funding where possible.
• Manage a small caseload of complex cases, providing personalised advice and support.
• Contribute to budget monitoring and updates.

We are looking to appoint a full-time Audio-Visual Production Engineer with good organisational skills to help facilitate production in the growing ministries at Holy Trinity Cambridge, working with and reporting to the Senior Worship Pastor. 

HT is a vibrant, evangelical, charismatic Anglican church, with a large and growing church family of all ages and stages. We are situated right at the centre of the city and perfectly placed to reach students and adults alike. We also sense that God is leading us into a new season of being a church for the city and our so heart is to further develop as a discipleship and leadership training hub, to serve and reach our city more, and, in years to come, to explore planting and partnering further afield. 

This is primarily an audio- and team-focused job, but you will be working alongside the Worship Team and other HT ministries to deliver the audio-visual production (including live stream) aspect of the HT worship ministry. In addition to our Sunday services, you’ll deliver AV production for a wide range of events, both inside and outside the church buildings, including weddings and funerals, as well as kids, youth, student, Easter, and Christmas events. Alongside audio set up and mixing bands and voices for the best quality sound possible, both in the room and online, we will draw on your skills to train up and develop volunteers to help deliver these services and events, as well as build systems on our audio equipment that ensure sound is consistent with volunteer operation of audio equipment.

The Role

The Head of Finance Planning & Control is a senior leadership role within the Finance & Performance team, reporting directly to the Director of Finance. You will lead on financial planning, treasury management, and tax strategy, while ensuring robust financial controls and high-quality insight to support strategic decision-making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the Group’s financial planning function, ensuring accurate and timely business and rent plans to inform strategic decisions.
• Oversee treasury management, ensuring compliance with funding agreements and proactive management of debt, cashflow, and security.
• Support the Director of Finance in securing appropriate funding to meet organisational needs.
• Lead tax planning activities, ensuring compliance while optimising financial efficiency.
• Ensure all regulatory returns are completed accurately and on time.
• Provide financial support to development activities in partnership with the
• Development Finance function.
• Oversee purchase ledger operations and ensure robust financial systems and controls are in place.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, policies, and systems.
• Partner with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver meaningful financial insight and support effective decision-making.
• Contribute to the development of a data-driven, high-performing finance team.
• Deputise for the Director of Finance and support the wider Senior Management Group as required.

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking a strategic, technically strong, and collaborative finance professional with:

• A recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CPFA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in long-term financial planning and treasury management.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• A track record of improving financial processes, systems, and controls.
• Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency.
• The ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation.

Desirable:

• Experience within the housing association or public sector environment.
• Exposure to development finance activities.
