About the Role

Reporting to the CEO, the Corporate Partnerships Manager plays a key role within our organisation, forming part of the Income and Partnerships Team.

We are looking for an ambitious and autonomous fundraiser to develop, deliver and grow our long-term corporate partnerships programme in London, Manchester and new locations in line with our strategy.

The key aim of the role is to secure new, and account manage existing corporate partnerships which will both contribute to ReachOut’s core mission of transforming outcomes for young people constrained by circumstance and help companies to achieve their own Corporate Social Responsibility goals.

Knowledge and experience 

You will bring: 

• A strong track record of developing and securing income through partnerships, sponsorship, membership, and/or charitable funding
• Experience building and managing commercial or strategic partnerships, including identifying opportunities and maintaining long-term relationships
• Experience designing and delivering programmes involving multiple stakeholders, sectors, and/or geographies
• The ability to develop robust business cases, including assessing opportunities, risks, and resource requirements
• Experience growing and engaging professional networks, memberships, or cross-sector communities
• Confidence working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments

Knowledge of the mental health, healthcare, design, or built environment sectors is welcome, but not essential.

We are seeking a fantastic corporate partnerships manager to join our Income Generation team. This is a key role for the organisation, proactively leading on new business; delivering mid and high-value partnerships and maintaining a healthy and active pipeline of new prospects to support the long-term sustainability of our work. The successful candidate will develop compelling proposals and pitches to build new relationships and provide excellent stewardship for existing corporate partners. They will manage and deliver the Income Generation strategy, annual operational plan, and income forecasting and develop accurate annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against plan and meeting KPIs and targets.
We are looking for an individual able to demonstrate a good track record of success in achieving and exceeding set income targets in corporate fundraising as well as devising, driving and delivering corporate fundraising plans. Excellent written and creative skills, with experience in developing relationships is crucial as is the ability to organise, prioritise, and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines. You will work to forge and sustain long-term, constructive partnerships with new and existing partners that help us grow funds and achieve our charitable goals. You will: 

· quickly learn and be able to articulate well our campaigns and victim service and their evidence base, our funding need, and the actions that corporates can and should take to prioritise safe and green use of roads, through funding us and supporting our campaigns

· find and unlock access to senior leads within companies not already working with us (e.g., public affairs, communications and corporate social relationship teams) as well as taking up the reins of stewarding relationships with some of the companies already working with us

· listen and understand corporates’ priorities, understanding their budgets, potential to fundraise within their teams and networks, and their safety, sustainability, policy and pr priorities; and articulate what Brake does and our need for help

· forge, together, actionable joint plans that generate funds for Brake from a company, directly or through their supply chain / customers. You will achieve six figure funding targets, by generating five figure funds from new and existing partners

· Work alongside team members in public affairs, PR, and public engagement to understand our programmes of work in campaigns and seek the engagement of new and existing corporate supporters in those programmes, for example through participation and sponsorship

· Be responsible for developing your own pipeline of leads and accurately forecasting income you will fundraise from this pipeline and listing partnership activities that will be delivered

· Operate within Brake’s Ethical Partnership Policy and other policies, which enables us to sustain our charity values and work alongside corporations safely.

Role purpose

The Commercial Income Lead is a senior, entrepreneurial role responsible for shaping, growing and diversifying West Horsley Place’s commercial income.

This is a highly proactive position for a self-starter who thrives on identifying opportunity, creating new sales channels and turning ideas into deliverable, income-generating activity. The postholder will develop and lead commercial strategy while remaining closely involved in hands-on sales, client management and on-site delivery.

The role oversees a broad portfolio including corporate venue hire, filming and photography, third-party commercial activity and estate partnerships. It also provides strategic oversight of weddings and private events, line-managing the Weddings & Private Events Coordinator who leads day-to-day sales and delivery in that area.

Key responsibilities

Commercial leadership & strategy

• Develop and lead a clear commercial income strategy, aligned with the Trust’s charitable purpose and long-term sustainability.
• Identify, test and launch new sales channels, commercial products and partnerships, taking ideas from concept to implementation.

Who you’ll work with: Your line manager will be the Head of Fundraising and you will work alongside a fundraising officer. The fundraising team sits in the Operations Directorate.

Where you’ll work: All Voice 21 staff work remotely and this is a home-based role, with some travel expected to our London office (by Victoria station) and elsewhere for meetings. Occasional overnight stays may be required depending on where you are based. Voice 21 pays all travel and accommodation expenses.

About The Role 

We’re looking for a dynamic and relationship-driven Senior Fundraising / Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead on, develop, grow and relationship manage our portfolio of corporate partners through business development, and relationship management. As our proactive and driven Strategic Partnership Development Manager you will lead partnership development for a range of priority corporate sectors - working closely with global partnerships, programmes and policy colleagues - to secure new multi-year partnerships and drive sustainable change.

• Lead on partnership development for strategically important sectors including food and beverage and agriculture, as well as other sectors to be determined. Effectively utilising your commercial awareness and corporate partnerships expertise to present WaterAid’s partnerships offering and value-add externally to these industries.
• Develop and manage a pipeline of potential high value, annual and multi-year new business opportunities, ensuring there is sufficient lead generation, active movement and conversion to secure annual and multi-year 6-figure+ partnerships.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the WaterAid federation including partnerships, communications, programmes and advocacy to identify and develop high-quality propositions that meet both partner and WaterAid needs.
• Lead WaterAid’s presence at global events and conferences, building a network of contacts amongst companies and actively cultivating this network.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Proven experience in generating six-figure strategic, new business partnerships from cold in the charity sector or in a commercial setting and proven ability to meet and exceed personal targets.
• An externally focused and proactive attitude, with the energy and passion to engage people and excite them about WaterAid, alongside the ability to forge effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including internal and external C-suite.
• Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills with an aptitude for writing high-quality and engaging proposals for a corporate audience.
• Strong working understanding of charity-corporate partnerships, corporate sustainability, Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

• Understanding and experience of international development
• Understanding of and active interest in the agriculture and food & beverage sectors, including key materially important sustainability topics.
