Job Summary

About the role

About the You
A professional, with Maritime background, or have previous experience working with the Agreements team and trade union experience are desirable. Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel at intermediate level; broad experience in general administration and data inputting as well as knowledge of and experience working on database such as Microsoft CRM. High level communication skills, both verbally and in writing are key requirements, plus a proven ability to develop positive relationships with organisations and individuals across diverse cultures. The Personal Assistant plays a vital role in upholding the Christian ethos, mission and values of OMF UK by supporting the National Director, coordinating ministry events and providing administrative support to the UK Leadership Team.
Responsibilities:
National Director Support:
·Arrange and attend regular internal events (such as Home Assignment Workshops, UK team days, retreat days, and other team functions) and occasional external events.
·Take part in corporate and individual prayer for UK Members at Home Assignment Workshops.
·Support and participate in OMF International’s mission, by regularly leading UK team devotions and/or worship and regularly leading National Office Prayers.
·Support the organisation of and logistics for OMF UK events, conferences, and prayer gatherings.
·Ensure that all OMF UK events, prayer gatherings and office activities reflect OMF’s Christian mission, vision and values.
·Manage travel arrangements for the National Director as required.
·Assist with coordinating Christian mission events attended by the National Director and team.
·Maintain an effective and accessible filing system.
·Any other duties as assigned by the National Director.
Leadership Team Support:
·Present departmental prayer points and lead prayers at quarterly UK Mornings of Prayer, as well as at biannual OMF UK Days of Prayer and UK Team Retreats.
·Manage travel arrangements for the Leadership Team members as required.
·Coordinate the National Office daily, monthly, and biannual prayer rotas.
·Coordinate room bookings within the National Office.
·Respond to and organise accommodation requests for National Office visitors where needed.
·Collate business trip details for UK members and staff for annual renewal of travel insurance.
·Act as point of contact for the OMF UK resources Collaboration Room on Teams.
·Prepare letters of authorisation for SOAS as required.
·Coordinate the office coffee rota.
·Participate in and provide occasional administrative support for other National Office projects.
Link with International Centre:
·Coordinate the distribution of the Mission Round Table magazine.
·Coordinate and collate UK input for the International Days of Prayer.
·Coordinate schedules and meetings of International Directors visiting the UK National Office.

Essential skills
· A demonstrable genuine interest in digital media, social platforms and storytelling
· Experience in creating content for social media, blogs or websites (this could be personal, voluntary or from studies)

· Ability to organise your time, work independently and manage multiple small tasks
· An interest in international volunteering, youth development or the charitable sector
· Ability to travel to other parts of the UK as required

Job Purpose:
Working from St. Hilda’s East Community Centre in Shoreditch, the Facilities Assistant will support the Head of Operations, in the day-to-day running and improvement of SHE’s buildings and spaces – ensuring they are tidy, safe, clean, fit for purpose and welcoming. This will involve improving and implementing best practice procedures primarily regarding facilities and all elements of health and safety across both our sites - ensuring that we comply with regulatory standards.

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes across a number of prisons. To ensure the continuation of our programmes during times of staff absence, we are now seeking to recruit a Prison Facilitator/Library Assistant on a bank working basis to work across the Bristol region (HMP Leyhill, HMP Ashfield, HMP Eastwood Park and HMP Bristol). Working closely with prisons and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will support with the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme in the area, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
You will have experience working within prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships quickly and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. You will also have a willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice, to provide short or long term cover within the prisons in this area.
This role will be prison-based. This is a bank role and so the number of days to be worked will vary and are not guaranteed.
