Blue Ventures is a marine conservation organization that puts people first. We support coastal fishers in remote and rural communities to rebuild fisheries, restore ocean life and build lasting pathways to prosperity. Our work began two decades ago in Madagascar’s remote coastal communities and is growing globally.

Summary job description
We are currently recruiting a Software Developer (R Shiny) to support our evolving operations, supporting our Global Data Science team. Reporting to the Head of Data Engineering, this is a full-time role with occasional travel (1-2 times per year) to work closely with overseas colleagues, partners, field teams and communities.
The successful candidate will be a motivated, proactive and highly organised individual with strong experience in developing interactive data visualisation tools in R Shiny specifically.
You will focus on creating user-friendly, customisable tools to support decision-making in small-scale fishing communities and across the organisation. These tools, designed by the Design and Integration team, aim to transform complex datasets into actionable insights, supporting data-driven decision-making at various levels.
You will demonstrate a proven track record of presenting complex data in clear, accessible formats for both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as project design and management. To lead and deliver Richmond CVS’s support services for voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations across the borough. This includes providing high-quality advice, training, and development support, alongside managing key projects and coordinating external consultants.

This is one of two District Property Secretary roles in North West England Methodist District, who will be the first point of contact on all matters relating to property. The Role

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation.
