The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead and manage the Finance and Corporate Services functions, ensuring strong financial governance, compliance, and strategic planning. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders including the Board, Executive Team, regulators, auditors, and funders.

You will also act as the organisational lead for financial strategy, treasury management, HR, IT infrastructure, and internal and external communications-ensuring that EastEnd Homes is well-resourced and delivering outstanding services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing leadership across Finance, IT, HR, and Communications, implementing procedures, policies and strategies
• Manage, support, and develop staff across the Finance and Corporate Services teams, including performance reviews, training needs, and continuous improvement
• Ensure all statutory returns and performance reports are accurate and submitted on time
• Embed a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous service improvement
• Ensure full compliance with the Housing Regulator's and FCA's financial frameworks, including the timely submission of returns
• Lead the preparation of annual statutory accounts and liaise effectively with external auditors
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring robust systems and internal controls are in place
• Manage relationships with lenders and ensure compliance with loan covenants
• Leading treasury management, budgeting, financial planning and reporting
• Monitor spend against budgets and provide timely, accurate financial reporting to the Executive Team and Board
• Develop sound financial controls and value-for-money initiatives, ensuring efficient and cost-effective service delivery
• Identify and pursue additional funding or grant opportunities aligned to EastendHomes' goals
• Driving improvements in digital services and internal IT systems to enhance customer experience and internal efficiencies
• Proactively identify and manage financial and operational risks, contributing to a robust risk management framework
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and contribute to the Annual Assurance Statement
• Represent the organisation with external partners, stakeholders, funders, and regulators

About You:

• Recognised accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
• Proven experience in a senior finance and/or corporate services leadership role
• Experience working within the housing sector, or a similarly regulated, customer-facing environment.
• Experience of working effectively with a Board or committee, writing and presenting reports, strategies etc.
• Strong understanding of financial governance, legislation, and risk management as well as developing short, medium and long term financial plans which ensure their financial viability over the longer term
• A collaborative, values-driven leadership style who fosters an inclusive environment at the fore front of what they do
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to be able to communicate financial concepts and organisational performance insights to internal and external stakeholders

This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract, expected to last up to 12 months, with the freedom to work both in our London office and remotely anywhere in the UK. What you’ll do as part of our team

Strategy + planning

• Develop strategies for the projects on which you lead, working with the Digital Strategy Manager as needed to ensure we are always delivering strategic excellence 
• Schedule and attend planning and project review meetings with clients
• Take part in workshops to generate ideas for tactics that help our clients hit their goals

Project management

• Manage projects from conception through to build, coordinating work from both our creative and tech teams
• Being the key point of contact for our partners on specific project strands
• Ensuring all projects you manage are delivered on time and to scope
• Coordinating with freelancers as required 
• Building partner relationships
• Ongoing management of live partnerships, ensuring we’re always exceeding expectations and are tuned into different partner needs
• Building excellent rapport whilst delivering projects within agreed scopes and in a timely manner

Reporting + data analysis

• Analyse performance and test data, and provide strategic recommendations based on your insights 
• Ads setup + management
• Build digital ads on a variety of platforms for our partners, ensuring an effective targeting strategy 
• Ensure we are always optimising ad spend and suggesting changes in approach in line with results 

Builds 

• Working from templates to set up landing pages on a range of platforms 
• Coordinating with the tech team to manage more complicated tech builds 
• Building emails as required by partners 
• Winning new business 
• Work with the partnerships team to produce compelling proposals and win new business, as required.
• Assisting the Digital Strategy Manager in planning and scoping the time it takes your team to deliver certain tasks and use this to accurately quote the costs of projects 
• Contribute to the wider team

Essential criteria

• 4+ years’ experience working in digital marketing, with proven experience of developing strategies and campaigns that deliver results against goals 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience of managing multiple stakeholders and building strong working relationships across functions 
• Being comfortable working in a remote-first, fast-paced environment
• Experience of using digital platforms to build and send mass emails, and comfortable managing email lists 
• Experience of managing ads in Meta, and proven ability to interpret the data to optimise against goals 
• Excellent organisation and attention-to-detail with ability to juggle multiple priorities and keep to tight deadlines 
• Experience of managing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to scope

Salary and benefits package

Starting salary: £37,620 (outside of London, with a £3k annual travel bursary)/£42,135 (inside London) 

Holiday: 25 days/year (pro rata to 20 days per year due to the 4 day week), plus bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year.

As our Lead Community Advice Worker, you will provide holistic advice, advocacy, and practical support to people connected to the marginalised and excluded Gillett Square community in Dalston. You will help them access essential services, navigate welfare benefits and housing issues, and challenge decisions they believe are unjust. You will also provide guidance and supervision to one Community Advice Worker. This role involves occasional outreach in Gillett Square and through home visits.

The role is offered on a part-time, 4 day week basis (0.8 FTE) with a salary of £36,050 pro rata per annum.

Working within a therapeutic framework, you will develop a direct programme of work aimed at developing authentic relationships with our children and young people (aged 12 – 17 years old), you will also have responsibility for making sure our residents are safe, providing support, liaison with other professionals and completion of support documents to record information.

The role and your key responsibilities

As a Partner Success Lead your role is to provide world class customer service to our partner base of over 2,500 schools and colleges. You will be responsible for onboarding our new schools and supporting our existing schools to make the most of the Unifrog platform. As part of our succession planning, Number Champions is recruiting a CEO to take on all management of the charity and to help the board define and deliver its strategy. Background - Number Champions

We train volunteers to use games and other creative activities in primary schools in one-to-one sessions with children to help them gain confidence and skills in maths. This support helps put children on track to achieve their full potential in a world where numeracy is a vital building block. Over half the children we support are from disadvantaged backgrounds, which is where the need is greatest.

Founded in 2018, we have already helped over 1,500 children. We now have 115 volunteers running weekly sessions. This year they are helping 334 children in 38 partner schools across London, and we plan to continue to grow organically every year to support more children.

Our vision is not just that we grow in scale, but that through our example other organisations copy our model, and that eventually all primary school children will have access to volunteer support in maths.

CEO role

The CEO will be a new permanent role, reporting to our founder Chair and to the board of trustees. You will take on all aspects of managing our award-winning charity and drive the board process of setting and delivering strategy. This will include financial management of the charity and involvement in fundraising. This is in the context of our succession plan, whereby our Chair will hand over the executive responsibilities which he currently exercises on a pro bono basis. This is to allow us to recruit a new Chair within two years.

You will line manage the Head of Operations - our current senior employee, who manages our other two staff. The role will be part time for the equivalent of 3 days a week.

Location

Within the Day Centre you will be required to provide advice and advocacy and casework to people who are homeless and at risk of homelessness and maintain a caseload of clients working within a fast paced and dynamic small team.
