We are a Grant making Charity that helps individuals and dependants who are not able to work due to illness, injury and or infirmity. We help people across the industry, although, any applicant needs to have worked within the entertainment industry for at least seven years. In addition to our main fund we also offer emergency crisis grants and benefits advice and support. The Fund plays a leading role in Acting for Others, a charity made up of a network of theatrical charities aimed at fundraising to provide support to people in the profession who are experiencing difficulties.

We are a charity that also owns and manages a multi-tenant building in London, providing space to other charities, and businesses. As landlords, we’re responsible for the day-to-day running of the building, co-ordinating maintenance and looking after our service maintained offices on the 2nd floor.

The Royal Theatrical Fund is a Charity incorporated with a Royal Charter. The charity was established by Charles Dickens in 1839, a new Royal Charter with a wider remit was granted in 1974.

The anticipated split between the areas of work 70% grant applications, 20% office management, and 10% fund raising activities.

Duties and Key responsibilities:

• The role will be to co-ordinate the grant-making operations, working closely with the Grant Manager/Welfare Advisor in processing all Grants and collating all  relevant information for presentation at the Fund’s monthly Board meeting.
• Dealing with general enquiries for support and assisting people to apply, offering a friendly supportive ear to people who call.
• Entering Information on the database.
• Assisting in the management of the building, monitoring and ensuring all health & safety policies are followed, including managing cleaning and maintenance companies.
• Assisting with the events including Acting for Others fundraising activities.

Senior Development Manager

This is a newly created role, which will help take the charity's fundraising to the next level. The new Senior Development Manager will grow existing income (trusts, foundations and statutory) and develop newer income streams (individual giving and corporate partnerships). Supported by the charity's Artistic Director/CEO and an expert Development Subcommittee, the Senior Development Manager will lead on the development and delivery of the fundraising strategy, securing five- and six-figure gifts and working towards an ambition to raise around £300,000 per year within the first two years. The role also includes oversight of regular supporter communications (including a monthly newsletter) and the use of tools such as Salesforce and Mailchimp, while keeping up to date with fundraising compliance, policy and sector trends.

To be successful, you will bring substantial experience of delivering significant fundraising targets, ideally in the arts or cultural, or social welfare sectors, and a strong track record of generating income from a mix of the income streams mentioned above. This is a responsible position managing the accounts and payroll of a medium-sized West London youth charity. The role is central to maintaining the charity’s financial wellbeing and thereby enhancing opportunities for young people.

It is a part-time role, with plenty of flexibility. Working from home and coming into our office at least once a week, you can spread the weekly hours across 3, 4 or 5 days – whatever works for you. Role Requirements

· Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable/grants claims, bank reconciliations, general accounting functions.

· Perform monthly journals and reconciliation of balance sheet/control accounts, including accruals, prepayments, deferred income and fixed assets.

· Claim monthly the Gift Aid that has not already been collected through donation platforms.

· Produce timely and accurate monthly reports for budget holders to help them effectively manage their budgets, ensuring that spend is being properly tracked and allocated against programmes and grants/donations.

· Hold regular meetings with budget holders following the production of the monthly reports.

· Work with the CEO, Treasurer, Fundraiser and programme/operational budget holders where necessary to:

o Provide the Finance Committee with a monthly dashboard

o Co-ordinate the annual budget process, and produce quarterly financial forecasts.

o Manage cashflow projection

· Support the Monitoring and Evaluation manager with donor reports

· Liaise with the auditors throughout the audit process, providing supporting schedules and  grant documentation in support of the TB figures provided.

· Prepare the statutory annual accounts for review by the auditors.

· Manage payroll (30+staff), pensions and the allocation of project personnel costs. This includes liaison with the HR and programme managers to ensure the Employment Hero payroll system is processing HR information and timesheets correctly.

· Process improvement – work with key stakeholders to ensure that finance processes are fit for purpose and implementing change where improvements can/should be made.

· Ensure the Avenues has appropriate internal controls in place and is meeting all tax and audit obligations.

· Preparation and maintenance of a finance manual.

· Deal with general finance queries, both externally and from members of the team

· Co-supervise the finance and operations administrator

Person Requirements

· Accountancy qualification eg- ACA/CIMA/ACCA/AAT Professional Level or QBE

· Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role.

· Previous experience in the charity sector would be highly desirable although not essential.

· Good knowledge of QuickBooks system and proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.

· Experience of process improvement and system implementation an advantage.

· Strong communication skills well versed in speaking finance with non-finance colleagues.

· Ability to adhere to deadlines

· Confident in holding self and others to account

· Ability to work to high standards, without needing detailed supervision

Role overview: 

The purpose of this role is to manage the specialist elements of the London stalking support service, including the Community Engagement and Outreach ISA and the Court ISA functions. These are new areas of delivery for the Trust, and the postholder will play a key role in establishing and embedding these specialist services. 

The postholder will provide day-to-day management, guidance, and direction to specialist staff holding complex cases, ensuring work is delivered safely and in line with best practice, contractual standards, and safeguarding requirements. They will oversee referral assessment and allocation for specialist cases, ensuring referrals are prioritised and allocated within agreed response times. 

As the services are in their infancy, the role will focus on supporting the development and refining processes, pathways, and approaches, using performance data, feedback, test and learn approach and learning to support continuous improvement. The postholder will also oversee performance monitoring, quality assurance, and budget management working closely with the Deputy Head of Operations to manage demand and maintain service standards.

About Spear

We launched the award-winning Spear Programme over 20 years ago, and there are now 18 Spear Centres across the country, equipping unemployed 16–24-year-olds facing barriers to employment with the skills and mindset they need to secure work and thrive in the workplace.

Spear operates a joint venture model with churches across the UK to run our Spear Centres. Some Centres operate in collaboration with independent charitable trusts, while others are run directly with the local church (both referred to below as ‘Spear Church Partners’ or ‘Church Partners’) As a result, the Spear Partner Fundraising Manager role requires raising funds for both churches and charitable trusts.

About the role

Spear is in an exciting time of growth, as we expand our work nationwide. You will play a pivotal role in equipping new and existing Church Partners to build sustainable, thriving Spear Centres that transform young people’s lives. 

With an annual fundraising target of £125k, you will combine strategic insight, relationship-building and hands-on application writing, as well fundraising advice to help Church Partners grow diverse and resilient fundraising streams. Working closely with Trustees, Church leaders and Spear’s Central teams, you will strengthen funding pipelines, unlock new opportunities and ensure partners are supported every step of the way. 

Key information

• Salary: £37,000
• Contract: Full time (4 days considered) permanent. Monday – Friday with some out of hours work needed for events such as Spear Celebration. Ad hoc regional travel required to deliver training and support to partner churches.
• Annual leave: 28 days annual leave (including Christmas gift days) plus bank holidays

Person Specification

• A practising Christian, passionate about personally representing the values and beliefs of Spear, and our mission to equip and support young people facing barriers to employment.
• Creative, self-motivated forward planner who exercises initiative, with the ability to prioritise workload, including working well under pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce persuasive, high-quality fundraising applications
• Effective interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence, with the ability to relate confidently to a range of stakeholders both, internally and externally
• Experience in fundraising, Trust and/or community fundraising desirable, with good working knowledge of other fundraising streams is desirable but not essential
• Strong quantitative skills including ability to work with and interpret impact data, fundraising pipelines and basic financial information

We are seeking an experienced Senior Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager to lead high value fundraising and build transformational relationships with major donors and partners.

About the Role

This senior fundraising role leads the strategy and delivery of high value income including major donors, trusts and foundations, and corporate partnerships.

You will manage key relationships, develop compelling funding proposals and lead strategic collaborations that generate significant income and long term impact.

Key responsibilities include:

About You

To succeed as a Community Coordinator, you will have:

• Experience facilitating groups or meetings, ideally in recovery, peer-support, mental health, or behaviour-change settings.

• Ability to support, mentor, and develop volunteer facilitators.

• Strong presentation and communication skills, online and in-person.

• Self-motivation, organisation, and ability to manage workload and regional travel independently.

• Emotional intelligence and groundedness, with experience supporting people who have faced adversity.

• A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable:

• Qualified SMART Recovery facilitator or previous participant.

• Lived experience of recovery (personal or close to someone else).

• Experience in peer mentoring, volunteer support, or community development.
