Key responsibilities:
- Events Marketing
- To oversee the scheduling, production and distribution of promotional e-mails for our events. Liaise with comms team to promote events across AvMA media platform To work on the development of the events pages on the new AvMA web site. Ensuring event web pages are kept up-to-date. To carry out data analysis and web analytics to determine what people are responding to and to highlight the areas we may need to focus/re-focus.
Events Logistics & Management
- In conjunction with the Head of Events, to undertake the production and organisation of events, including inviting and liaising with speakers and arranging event logistics. Effective liaison with speakers, ensuring they have all the information required to participate in the event and providing deadlines for receiving their presentation and biography. To work on site at events as required and run smaller events on your own. Duties will involve setting-up and administering registration, liaising with the venue, greeting speakers and exhibitors, dealing with enquiries from delegates and making sure the event runs smoothly. Production of the online conference documentation, to include speaker presentations.
Research & Event Development
- Help identify and research potential subject areas on which we may want to run events. Keep a close eye on the medico-legal events sector market and other events taking place. Help identify potential new sponsors and exhibitors for our events.
Events CRM
- Develop a sound understanding of AvMA’s new CRM, ensuring we optimise it for the efficient and effective marketing of events.
- To assist if/as required with bookings and booking queries for AvMA’s events.
Other
- To support the Events Department’s quality initiatives and to suggest continuing improvements where needs arise.
- To undertake other duties commensurate with the post as may be required.
- Deputise for the Head of Events when necessary
Person Specification
Essential:
- An understanding of, and commitment to, the values and objectives of AvMA.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective and positive working relationships with a wide range of individuals and organisations.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritise workload and meet targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confidence in liaising with speakers, sponsors and delegates.
- Experience of organising events and on-site management of events, including in-person and online events/webinars.
- Marketing copy writing ability, proof-reading skills, outstanding attention to detail.
- Experience of using e-mail marketing platforms (e.g. Dot Digital) and social media to promote events and maintaining event web pages.
- A high level of IT and digital literacy skills, including Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics and Adobe In Design
- Staying calm under pressure, a proactive and solutions focussed approach to problem-solving, ability to independently think on your feet.

About the role
Supporting the delivery of Zoe’s Place overall income generation strategy, by developing a portfolio of corporate supporters at Zoe’s Place Coventry to deliver long term sustainable income growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Account manage corporate relationships
- Account manage newly established and existing corporate relationships, ensuring that each one is appropriately supported and is reaching its full potential, through charity of the year partnerships, sponsorship, staff fundraising, payroll giving and event participation.
- Work with the Head of Fundraising to ensure corporate fundraising offering is consistent across all relationships.
- Plan and execute events to steward current supporters.
- Meet and exceed agreed fundraising targets for corporate supporters at Zoe’s Place Coventry.
- Identify potential new opportunities to grow current partnerships, including identifying potentially useful networks within each partner organisation, developing powerful ideas, pitches and tailored proposals.
Re-engage past Corporate supporters.
- Undertake research to identify past corporate supporters using our CRM and devise/implement plans to re-engage their support.

Networking and Representation
- Represent Zoe’s Place at external corporate functions to promote the work of the Hospice by giving presentations, articulating a clear and compelling case for support.

Administration and pipeline
- Use our fundraising CRM and in line with GDPR to ensure accurate and timely recording of stewardship.
- Working with an income pipeline, ensure accurate and timely financial forecasting, identifying risk to income and mitigating accordingly.
Collaborative working
- Work closely with staff across the charity to maximise opportunities to engage with high-value audiences, ensuring accurate sharing of information, such as case studies, is relevant and timely.
- Develop strong working relationships with the wider Coventry marketing, fundraising and Coventry clinical team.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with other members of staff in order to ‘cross-sell’ and maximise fundraising opportunities.

Job Specification
The Role:
The Donor Engagement & Communications Lead will creatively bring together the right people, information, and messaging to demonstrate the impact of philanthropy and partnerships at the Festival, and deploy appropriate strategies to maximise donor satisfaction and retention.
Able to write and develop content for a range of donor constituents on a variety of artistic forms, they will ensure fundraising is integrated into communication channels at all levels, and that frontline fundraisers on the team are equipped with the materials and content they need to grow and maintain fruitful donor relationships.
They will work closely with fundraisers and colleagues across the Development team to lead and manage the donor recognition and stewardship programme, as well as develop reports, updates and activities that connect supporters directly to the impact that they enable.
The Donor Engagement & Communications Lead will also foster productive internal relationships, particularly with colleagues in the Audiences department, to develop content and materials which articulate the Festival’s fundraising priorities and outcomes.

· A strategic, nuanced, year-round communications plan for the Festival’s donor and prospects, particularly those who don’t regularly attend the Festival

Your role
As Senior Philanthropy Manager (Events), you will lead War Child’s high-value events programme, engaging high-net-worth supporters and Global Ambassadors to maximise income from major donors. You will focus on shaping and delivering the donor engagement strategy for high-value events, working collaboratively with colleagues to maximise fundraising impact. You will partner closely with the Ambassador & Advocate Manager, who is responsible for operational planning and delivery of events across War Child.
This role requires a strategic thinker who is comfortable building trusted relationships with high-net-worth individuals, C-Suite level executives, philanthropists and senior event volunteers and advisors, managing multiple priorities, and operating confidently in a high-profile environment.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the development of the philanthropy team’s high-value events portfolio, ensuring events are strategically designed to support cultivation and stewardship goals, including those hosted by Global Ambassadors.
- Advise the Head of Philanthropy on the development of War Child’s high-value events strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance impact and income.
- Work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Philanthropy Lead to deliver income targets, contributing to wider team strategy and planning.
- Act as the team’s subject matter expert on high-value events, setting clear objectives and KPIs to measure success over time.

- Working closely with the Research & Insights Manager, to produce high-quality, post event evaluations using an insights led approach to continuously improve philanthropic events.
- Ensure philanthropy messaging and donor experience at events reflect War Child’s values and impact.

- Engage senior leadership, trustees and key external stakeholders in high-value events where appropriate, providing briefings and strategic advice to maximise their effectiveness.

You are

- ·Significant experience in a similar special events/high value events role, with a specialist knowledge of high net worth major donor fundraising ideally within an international development or humanitarian NGO so you can present War Child’s work with authority.
- Experience advising on and optimising high-value supporter engagement at events, with a strategic understanding of how to deepen relationships through tailored experiences and be confident working alongside high profile individuals and Ambassadors who support our events
- Able to work independently in a target led environment with a proven track record of delivering successful high value fundraising events that achieve results, delivering against targets (including securing six-figure targets) and income growth.
- An excellent communicator, confident in managing relationships at all levels, influencing and negotiating as well as writing compelling formal and informal communications.
- Strong experience of project leadership and organisation including critically evaluating activities to achieve strategic priorities and maximise their effectiveness.
- Able to understand and clearly articulate international development issues and trends including War Child’s vision, mission and values and present War Child’s work with authority.

Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Development
- Support the management and delivery of a programme of special events across the UK.

Financial Management & Performance

Role Overview
As the Fundraising and Communications Officer, you will play a pivotal role in growing Temwa’s income and visibility. You will coordinate, organise or support challenge events, individual fundraising campaigns, manage events, and deliver compelling communications that inspire action. You’ll work closely with the Fundraising & Communications Manager, UK and Malawi teams, and volunteers to support both income generation and brand engagement strategies.
This is a varied and creative role for a driven communicator who’s confident with events, social media, donor stewardship, and marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Events

Plan and support individual giving campaigns and donor appeals.

About the Role
