Job Description

Key responsibilities:

1. Events Marketing

• To oversee the scheduling, production and distribution of promotional e-mails for our events. Liaise with comms team to promote events across AvMA media platform To work on the development of the events pages on the new AvMA web site. Ensuring event web pages are kept up-to-date. To carry out data analysis and web analytics to determine what people are responding to and to highlight the areas we may need to focus/re-focus.

Events Logistics & Management

• In conjunction with the Head of Events, to undertake the production and organisation of events, including inviting and liaising with speakers and arranging event logistics. Effective liaison with speakers, ensuring they have all the information required to participate in the event and providing deadlines for receiving their presentation and biography. To work on site at events as required and run smaller events on your own. Duties will involve setting-up and administering registration, liaising with the venue, greeting speakers and exhibitors, dealing with enquiries from delegates and making sure the event runs smoothly. Production of the online conference documentation, to include speaker presentations.

Research & Event Development

• Help identify and research potential subject areas on which we may want to run events. Keep a close eye on the medico-legal events sector market and other events taking place. Help identify potential new sponsors and exhibitors for our events.

Events CRM

• Develop a sound understanding of AvMA’s new CRM, ensuring we optimise it for the efficient and effective marketing of events.
• To assist if/as required with bookings and booking queries for AvMA’s events.

Other

• To support the Events Department’s quality initiatives and to suggest continuing improvements where needs arise.
• To undertake other duties commensurate with the post as may be required.
• Deputise for the Head of Events when necessary 

Person Specification

Essential:

1. An understanding of, and commitment to, the values and objectives of AvMA.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective and positive working  relationships with a wide range of individuals and organisations.
3. Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritise workload and meet targets.

5. Experience of organising events and on-site management of events, including in-person and online events/webinars.
6. Marketing copy writing ability, proof-reading skills, outstanding attention to detail.
7. Experience of using e-mail marketing platforms (e.g. Dot Digital) and social media to promote events and maintaining event web pages.
8. A high level of IT and digital literacy skills, including Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics and Adobe  In Design
9. Staying calm under pressure, a proactive and solutions focussed approach to problem-solving, ability to independently think on your feet.

We are looking for a proactive and engaging individual to join our Fundraising team as a Community Fundraising Officer.

You will be the first point of contact for supporters, helping to build relationships with local communities and deliver a varied programme of fundraising events and activities. Working closely with the Community Fundraising Manager, you will support challenge events, community initiatives, and supporter-led fundraising.

Corporate Fundraiser (Maternity Cover - 12 months FTC)

We’re incredibly proud of our hospices. We provide respite, palliative and end of life care to babies and children from birth to five years old with life limiting or life-threatening illnesses, with our team of specialist nurses offering round-the-clock care and support. We’ve created a safe, caring and fun place, where parents know that their child will receive the best care possible - a home away from home.  In order to continue with our specialist work, we need to ensure the charity continues to raise the funds we need. 
 

About the role

Supporting the delivery of Zoe’s Place overall income generation strategy, by developing a portfolio of corporate supporters at Zoe’s Place Coventry to deliver long term sustainable income growth. 
 

Key Responsibilities:

Account manage corporate relationships 

• Account manage newly established and existing corporate relationships, ensuring that each one is appropriately supported and is reaching its full potential, through charity of the year partnerships, sponsorship, staff fundraising, payroll giving and event participation.
• Work with the Head of Fundraising to ensure corporate fundraising offering is consistent across all relationships.
•  Plan and execute events to steward current supporters.
•  Meet and exceed agreed fundraising targets for corporate supporters at Zoe’s Place Coventry.
• Identify potential new opportunities to grow current partnerships, including identifying potentially useful networks within each partner organisation, developing powerful ideas, pitches and tailored proposals.

Re-engage past Corporate supporters. 

• Undertake research to identify past corporate supporters using our CRM and devise/implement plans to re-engage their support.

Networking and Representation 

• Represent Zoe’s Place at external corporate functions to promote the work of the Hospice by giving presentations, articulating a clear and compelling case for support.
• Attend networking events such as the Chamber of Commerce as required.

Administration and pipeline 

• Use our fundraising CRM and in line with GDPR to ensure accurate and timely recording of stewardship. 
• Working with an income pipeline, ensure accurate and timely financial forecasting, identifying risk to income and mitigating accordingly. 

Collaborative working

• Work closely with staff across the charity to maximise opportunities to engage with high-value audiences, ensuring accurate sharing of information, such as case studies, is relevant and timely.
• Develop strong working relationships with the wider Coventry marketing, fundraising and Coventry clinical team. 
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with other members of staff in order to ‘cross-sell’ and maximise fundraising opportunities.

Job Specification

The Role:

The Donor Engagement & Communications Lead will creatively bring together the right people, information, and messaging to demonstrate the impact of philanthropy and partnerships at the Festival, and deploy appropriate strategies to maximise donor satisfaction and retention.

Able to write and develop content for a range of donor constituents on a variety of artistic forms, they will ensure fundraising is integrated into communication channels at all levels, and that frontline fundraisers on the team are equipped with the materials and content they need to grow and maintain fruitful donor relationships.

They will work closely with fundraisers and colleagues across the Development team to lead and manage the donor recognition and stewardship programme, as well as develop reports, updates and activities that connect supporters directly to the impact that they enable.

The Donor Engagement & Communications Lead will also foster productive internal relationships, particularly with colleagues in the Audiences department, to develop content and materials which articulate the Festival’s fundraising priorities and outcomes.

Performance Indicators and Deliverables 

· A strategic, nuanced, year-round communications plan for the Festival’s donor and prospects, particularly those who don’t regularly attend the Festival

· Exceptional written content, tailored for different donors and tones of voice (including our brand tone of voice) which communicates our case for support and the impact of our supporters’ generosity

· Engaging strategic events, bringing artists and supporters closer together, in support of our fundraising strategy

At Severn Hospice, we provide specialist care and support to people living with incurable illness from across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales. We are looking for a motivated, empathetic and personable Legacy Fundraiser to help support our future care through legacy giving.

Legacies are a major income stream, and with your influential and intuitive approach you will play a pivotal role in managing, developing and maximising our legacy portfolio.

Just like our care, our relationships with supporters are individual and with your excellent interpersonal skills and sensitive manner, you will focus on building warm, meaningful relationships with supporters, creating positive experiences at every touchpoint and inspiring people to consider leaving a gift in their will. Thousands of older people living in care homes receive few or no visitors. Friends for Life Bedfordshire exists to change that.

Through our befriending and group activities, we bring companionship, connection and meaningful relationships to care home residents across Bedford and the surrounding area.

We are now looking for a Fundraiser to help secure and grow the income that makes this work possible.

About Friends for Life Bedfordshire

We are a Bedford-based charity working to address the social isolation of older residents in Bedfordshire’s care homes.

Founded in 2007, we have grown from a small local initiative to a registered charity with c90 volunteers supporting more than 30 care homes across Bedford Borough. In the last year, over 1,100 care home residents received our services.

The Role

This is a pivotal role for the charity. It is key to the delivery of our business plan and growth aspirations.

You will lead on grant fundraising whilst also developing community and individual giving, and delivering engaging fundraising events.

This is a hands-on role in a small organisation, so you will have real ownership and visibility. You will shape our fundraising strategy and directly influence how many residents we can reach.

This role is suited to someone who is both strategic and practical — someone who can develop the fundraising strategy and the plan to deliver this, but is equally comfortable writing applications, building relationships and making things happen.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Fundraising

• Identify and secure funding from trusts, foundations and statutory bodies
• Write high-quality, compelling funding applications
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of funding opportunities
• Maintain relationships with funders, including reporting and stewardship

Community & Individual Fundraising

• Grow income through local partnerships, supporters and community initiatives
• Engage schools, businesses and individuals to generate support
• Work with Marketing, Partnerships & Activities Lead to develop campaigns that drive regular and one-off donations
• Strengthen our local supporter base and visibility

Fundraising Events

• Plan and deliver fundraising events (community and corporate), managing logistics, budgets and stakeholder coordination
• Work with Marketing, Partnerships & Activities Lead to promote events through social media and marketing platforms
• Ensure events are engaging, effective and financially successful
• Evaluate performance and improve future activity

Strategy, Compliance & Reporting

• Develop and deliver a clear fundraising strategy aligned to organisational goals
• Track performance against targets and provide insight
• Ensure all fundraising is compliant with regulations and best practice
• Represent the charity externally with confidence and credibility

About You

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of fundraising and produce results in a small, resource-constrained environment.

You will likely bring:

• Experience developing or contributing to a fundraising strategy
• Proven experience in fundraising, with a track record of generating income
• Strong experience in writing successful grant applications
• Experience of developing and growing income from community fundraising initiatives (e.g. partnerships, volunteer-led activities, individuals and events)
• Ability to build and manage relationships with funders, donors or partners
• Strong written communication skills — able to create compelling cases for support
• Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
• A proactive, resourceful approach — you don’t wait to be told what to do
• Comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on delivery

The purpose of the role is to utilise effective and efficient administrative and fundraising skills to assist in delivering both financial and non-financial targets which will provide a gateway to all fundraising activity across Maggie’s. 

As Centre Fundraiser, you will assist the Centre Fundraising Manager to implement the fundraising strategy to deliver income targets through proactive donor recruitment and excellent donor care.  

This includes supporting and retaining existing supporters and researching new key relationships with individuals as well as partnerships with local businesses, groups and associations.  

You will represent the work, vision and purpose of Maggie’s whilst supporting the delivery of local and central fundraising initiatives and campaigns. This includes presentations, face to face, telephone and written communications.  

There will be a requirement to work irregular hours as well as frequent local travel.

Community and Events Fundraiser
Hours: 30 hours per week
Salary: £29,003.00 - £31,214.00 per annum (pro-rata) - salary dependent on skills, experience and knowledge
Contract: 9 - 12 Months Fixed Term/Temp Contract
Base: Osney Mead, Oxford OX2. Frequent travel within Oxfordshire and Berkshire will be required. Some home working possible.

About the Role and the Team

The Development Team generates funds to enable everyone experiencing a mental health issue to get both support and respect. We fundraise from corporates, major donors, trusts, events and in the community as well as providing paid-for workplace wellbeing training and consultancy services. We thrive on delivering an excellent experience for all our clients and supporters to build a valued community.

This role will provide support to existing supporters and proactively expand community and event fundraising initiatives through groups, organisations, individuals, community-based events and 3rd party sporting events.

The post-holder is responsible for building relationships with community-based groups, individuals and event participants to ensure they reach their fundraising potential/target for the charity, whilst being an excellent ambassador for the organisation.

The post-holder will provide a physical presence at events, meetings and engagement opportunities.

This is an income generating role, but it is also about connecting with our supporters and creating long-term relationships for the future

About You

• Awareness or knowledge of fundraising and charity income, or similar knowledge of managing numerical data.

• Experience of delivering against targets (e.g. sales, engagement or other data).
• A track record of building and tracking a customer journey/ relationships
• Experience of providing support at public events for fundraising
• Ability to travel extensively throughout Oxfordshire and Berkshire
• Strong relationship building skills including tailoring your approach to different audiences
• Good computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, CRM databases and social media platforms.
• Excellent communication skills; verbal and written with an ability to present an appropriate and persuasive case for support
• Ability to work independently seeking advice and support when appropriate
• This role involves out of hours working and a willingness to work flexibly is required
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work on a number of varied projects at once, with the ability to prioritise.
