At Ambitious about Autism, we're looking for an Events and Fundraising Officer to join our team.
You'll support on the delivery of our portfolio of mass participation and special events. You'll support on our flagship events – London Marathon, Manchester to London bike ride in partnership with Rapha and our annual gala, Night of Ambition. You will support with the recruitment and stewardship of participants, providing guidance to maximise their fundraising efforts.
You'll work with the Events and Marketing and Communications teams to help produce compelling event and fundraising materials, whilst building excellent relationships across the wider organisation, especially with teams who help to deliver our events.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Demonstrable experience of supporter relationship management to aid retention, maximise income and secure repeat business
- Experience of working with fundraising platforms
- Excellent communication skills across a range of audiences
- Knowledge of and interest in digital fundraising and social media

Make a real difference to the lives of Afghan communities. In this role, you will drive change: stewarding relationships with public donors and fundraisers, supporting income generation and retention, maintaining high quality supporter data, and helping identify opportunities to grow engagement and income across these areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love and emotional support.
Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now building a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to significantly grow and diversify income.
The Major Gifts Manager will be part of the charity’s high-performing Philanthropy team, personally managing a portfolio of high-value donors and projects, and cultivating long-term relationships that lead to increased giving. Reporting to the Major Gifts Team Manager, the postholder will oversee major donor stewardship journeys and the strategic delivery of the charity’s successful VIP Name a Puppy scheme, as well as developing compelling cases for support.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience securing major gifts and managing high‑value relationships in a similar field, including five‑ and six‑figure contributions, as well as a strong track record in cultivating and stewarding donors. They will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and confidence engaging high‑net‑worth individuals and senior stakeholders.
Candidates will bring strategic project‑management ability, strong writing skills for producing compelling proposals and reports, and a data‑informed approach using CRM systems to guide activity. A professional, proactive and collaborative working style will be essential.

· Trusts & grants: Research, write, and submit compelling funding applications to trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies to secure new and repeat funding.

YOUR PURPOSE
To research, develop and secure funding, projects and opportunities that deliver DMWS’s charitable objectives and to support ongoing stakeholder management to ensure positive relationships.
This involves researching and applying for funding and contract tender opportunities to support the armed forces community and other frontline services. This will include Trusts and Foundations, corporate partnerships and tenders with organisations that include the military, police, NHS, Fire service and other organisations with frontline roles.
The aim is to secure funds and opportunities to support DMWS beneficiaries and to increase DMWS footprint.
The role will also require report writing to present evidence of DMWS delivering effective value for money and positive impacts for our beneficiaries in line with the funder’s requirements. An ability to also promote our outcomes through case studies and social media posts would also be advantageous.
Travel will be required and some occasional overnights stays can be required.

We’re seeking an Audience Experience Manager to join our award-winning Engagement, Marketing and Communications team!
We have a range of sophisticated insight tools and are now at an exciting stage of using them to build out and embed our Audience Experience strategy. This role will become a core member of the Audience Lab delivering it. Borde Hill Garden is seeking to appoint a Heritage Project Manager to support the Delivery Phase of its National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) funded ‘Reinventing Borde Hill’ project. The successful candidate will lead this exciting project, reporting to the Project Board and working with the Project Director to ensure that this phase of the project is fully delivered to time and on budget. The successful candidate will have proven experience of working on heritage projects, and will act as the key point of contact for the NLHF ensuring adherence to all NLHF frameworks and requirements, and ensuring that all documentation is managed accordingly. The role will involve working closely with the internal project team, wider garden staff and volunteers (including leading on the recruitment of volunteers), as well as the externally appointed Design Team, Cost Consultant, Evaluation Consultants, and other consultants. The Heritage Project Manager will coordinate the internal project team.
The successful candidate will maintain a close overview of the activity plan, the risk register, and the budget, as well acting as a point of contact, organising, attending and participating in project and stakeholder meetings; and compiling the information required for the project until the planned ‘soft opening’ in Spring 2028.

Tasks and responsibilities
· Become fully acquainted with all previous project documentation relating to the NLHF bid and acquire a good knowledge of the detailed objectives of the project
· Act as a key point of contact for NLHF ensuring that all necessary NLHF financial requirements and conditions are processed and/or met, including compiling grant drawdowns, reporting and assisting with the development of the project within the agreed programme
· Support the procurement of the construction contractors, and lead on procurement of other contractors, including preparation of briefs, enquiries, advertisements, evaluation and associated paperwork ensuring that their work is procured on time and within budget
· Oversee the work of the Design Team and other consultants ensuring that their deliverables are on time and coordinated with the other aspects of the project
· Liaise with an external construction project manager to ensure that a strong alignment is maintained between the capital build and the other elements of the project (e.g. activity plan, fundraising, evaluation etc.)
· Coordinate monthly progress reports from key workstream leads (internal and external), and compile these into a monthly Project Status Report
· Oversee the project budget, maintain the tracker and cashflow spreadsheet, and work with the Finance team to process invoices for payment
· Arrange project meetings, including co-ordinating diaries, sending meeting invites, monitor responses, and produce and circulate agendas and papers.
· Attend and where appropriate chair meetings, take and distribute minutes, and monitor actions as appropriate
· Work with the Marketing team to contribute to social media and website copy about the project
· Work with the Community Engagement Officer, supporting them to build and maintain relationships with current and prospective community partners, deliver the Activity Plan at the Community Growing Garden, and co-ordinate project-focused events such as Community Open Days
· Work with the Fundraising Manager, supporting them to create applications and approaches to potential funders (including trusts and foundations, individual donors, corporate donors, legacies etc.), and support with donor stewardship and relationship management post-gift, including reporting to other funders and supporting with donor events
· Support the work of the Evaluation Consultants, including internal and external evaluation of engagement initiatives
Skills and experience
To be considered for this position, you should be able to demonstrate some or all of the following:
· Good project management experience, with experience of medium-sized NLHF projects

Role Purpose:
Working closely with the Director of Programmes to manage and help develop a portfolio of funds across Access’s enterprise grant, blended finance and capacity building work, the role holder will be the day-to-day point of contact for a portfolio of social investors, enterprise grant providers and other organisations funded by Access.

Key Responsibilities:
Relationship Management
- Be the day to day point of contact for a portfolio of organisations who are applying for funding and/or delivering Access’s programmes.

- Maintain comprehensive and clear records on Access’s systems of the status of the relationship and any key questions or issues which are currently being addressed.

- Work with delivery partners to address areas of under-performance, escalating issues where necessary to the Director of Programmes and Access committees.
Guidance and Support
- Use performance data and insight from different partners within the portfolio to identify opportunities to support partners with, for example, peer support around areas of good practice.
- Offer expertise within Access and across partner organisations to support delivery partners in particular aspects of their work.
