We want to do so in a transparent way that prioritises sharing what we know and convening key stakeholders to bring them on a journey with us.
You will work with internal staff to proactively identify opportunities to influence emerging from our portfolio of innovation projects. You will lead on Motability Foundation’s responses to high-profile Government consultations, coordinating closely between the Innovation and Communications Teams. Where there is alignment and reputational benefit, you may engage external partners to amplify each other’s positions and share expertise. You will develop and implement a specific research programme geared towards supporting us to develop robust policy positions.
You will lean on the subject matter expertise of the Innovation and Communications Teams, but also develop your own knowledge where necessary.
About you:
Must haves:
- Experience commissioning robust qualitative and quantitative research.
- Experience using internal and external research findings and evidence to develop robust policy positions and respond to high-profile Government consultations.
- Understanding of decision-making processes in central and local government, at civil service and political levels.
- Ability to facilitate sensitive internal conversations to reach a point of consensus on policy positions.
- Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders in Government, industry, and other charities and foundations.
- Exceptional written and oral influencing skills, including the judicious use of data and evidence and the compelling presentation of the case for change.
- Highly IT literate with extensive experience of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Nice to haves:
- Understanding of key disability and transport issues, such as the social model of disability, inclusive micro mobility, the transition to electric vehicles, or user-centered design.
Motability Foundation
At Motability Foundation we fund, support, research and innovate so that all disabled people can make the journeys they choose. We oversee the Motability Foundation Scheme and provide grants to help people use it, providing access to transport to hundreds of thousands of people a year.
We award grants to other charities and organisations who provide different types of transport, or work towards making transport accessible. We also carry out ongoing research, in partnership with disabled people and key stakeholders in the industry, to inspire innovations that continue to champion accessible transport for all.

Role: Data Selections Analyst
Location: Homebased
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 35 Hours, Monday to Friday
Salary: £36,720 Per Annum
Joining the Royal British Legion as a Data Selections Analyst isn't just about crunching numbers – it's about driving impact and making a real difference. Imagine being at the forefront of campaigns that not only raise funds but also engage supporters in meaningful ways. If you have a knack for data and a passion for purpose-driven work, this role is tailor-made for you.
Come and be part of the leading Armed Forces charity, making a difference to the lives of those who have served to keep us safe and protect our way of life.
We're looking for someone with more than just technical skills. While a degree in Marketing, Business, or related fields is a plus, what really sets our ideal candidate apart is their ability to turn data into actionable insights. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at juggling multiple projects, and have a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you.
As a Data Selections Analyst, you’ll be working closely with campaign managers to translate their vision into reality. From crafting targeted audience selections to ensuring GDPR compliance, you'll be the driving force behind our fundraising and membership efforts. And with access to cutting-edge tools like FastStats and PeopleStage, the sky's the limit for what we can achieve together.
But it's not just about the numbers – it's about the people behind them. Effective communication skills are key in this role, as you'll be liaising with stakeholders across the organisation. Whether you're explaining complex technical details in simple terms or resolving conflicts with grace, your interpersonal skills will be put to the test – and they'll shine.
In return, you'll be part of a team that's dedicated to making a difference. From post-campaign analytics to supplier management, your contributions will shape the future of our fundraising efforts. And with opportunities for growth and development, you'll have the chance to expand your skills while making a positive impact on the lives of veterans and their families.
Here at RBL, we aim to support our people and their wellbeing, with a package including generous paid holiday allowance and pension scheme contributions, and a range of optional benefits and discounts.
You will be contracted to your home address, and you will perform most of your work remotely there using our collaboration tools to work with colleagues, with occasional travel (incl. for monthly team meetings).
