The MYcommunity Gateway Team provides support across Age UK Lambeth’s three Neighbourhoods: North, South and Central.
Age UK Lambeth and the MYcommunity Gateway team have partnered with Lambeth Adult Social Care in response to the redesign of their Initial Contact Service. Age UK Lambeth provides a busy, in-demand helpline to all new callers to Lambeth Adult Social Care. The helpline provides a triage service, dealing with enquiries, providing individuals the opportunity to discuss their issues and be provided with advice, information and guidance and potentially signposted to a range of services to provide them with support. Where appropriate, referrals are made to ASC for an assessment.
Call operation times will be Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm, excluding bank holidays.
The service works closely with Lambeth Adult Social Care and we have a base working alongside them at the Civic Centre in Brixton. Staff work hybridly, with the opportunity to work from home at least two days per week.
What you’ll be doing?

The Helpline Worker will answer Lambeth Adult Social Care’s telephone line where the caller has selected a new caller to the service.

Answer a range of queries and offer reassurance to all callers.

Refer clients to Adult Social Care for an assessment where appropriate.

Refer clients into external and partner services to provide support and refer clients to other Age UK Lambeth services.

The Opportunity:
This is where this new role comes in: The Head of Fundraising will play a crucial role in supporting the stewardship of the current donors while also securing the vital resources needed to realise our bold ambition and help us transform the lives of millions of young refugees and conflict affected youth across the globe.
You will be part of leading a growing and changing organisation, and will work closely with Amala’s two Co-founders and the Fundraising Manager to develop and implement a multi-year fundraising strategy, cultivate and deepen key donor relationships and boost our income growth from our current £800k towards our £3 million target by 2027, driving the financial sustainability necessary for Amala’s continued growth and impact.

Who we are looking for:
A strategic, entrepreneurial and ambitious senior fundraiser with a proven track record of securing significant UK and international funding (£1m+ annual income generation), developing high-impact strategies, and building strong donor relationships. You will be an inspiring leader with exceptional people management skills, with experience in leading growing organisations, and who enjoys the strategic side of the role as well as having a hands on approach.
The role would be best suited to someone who is committed to making a difference to the lives of young refugees, with a strong grounding in international charity sector fundraising. and international funding.
Essential experience:

Proven experience in a senior fundraising management role within the non-profit sector, ideally within international development.

A proven track record of success in fundraising, particularly in developing and executing complex fundraising strategies for a growing non-profit organisation.

Experience developing and implementing multi-year income generation plans.

A strong history of securing six-figure, multi-year grants and contracts in the UK and internationally, with an annual income generation of £1m+.

Senior-level experience managing relationships with multiple, diverse funders and donors.

Experience writing successful partnership bids, grant proposals, cases for support, and theories of change.

Experience in leading change in a growing organisation.

What we offer:
This full time, fully remote position offers a salary of £50,000-55,000 if you are a UK resident. If you reside in a different location, the salary will be adjusted accordingly. Thanks to funding from the DCMS Uniformed Youth Fund, Girlguiding is launching the Reach Project to increase our impact in underrepresented communities and lower income areas. We want to create 1,400 spaces for girls to join, and test new ways for girls to engage with our offer.
Girlguiding has been successful in winning a one-year government-funded grant to grow our provision for 10-18 year olds in ‘harder-to-reach’ communities. These include lower IMD areas, minority ethnic communities, young people with SEND, looked after children and young carers – among others.

You will be responsible for the implementation and day to day project management of the individual giving programme across our existing and new fundraising products, including our regular giving F2F activity, tribute funds and appeals programme. As part of a small individual giving team you will be working under the direction and authorisation of the Head of Individual Giving.
The Individual Giving team is responsible for income generation from individual supporters and members, using a range of direct marketing techniques via both online and offline channels. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of Mothers’ Union’s fundraising strategy as defined by the annual Individual Giving fundraising budget and plan.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern
This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

As Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will manage a high-performing team of four staff: Database & Donor Manager, Communications & Engagement Manager. Community & Events Officer and the International Development Manager. About you
As our Senior Campaigns & Public Affairs Manager, we’d like you to have an in-depth understanding of the ways in which UK public policies are formed and reformed, of the challenges associated with delivering policy in the real world and of how civil society organisations like JRF can successfully influence policy change.
You will have an understanding of the structural nature of poverty and how policy may alleviate structural harms and substantial experience of working at progressively senior levels at the intersection of policy development, politics and strategic communications/ campaigns.
You’ll have substantial experience of working in multidisciplinary teams using a range of insider and outsider tactics and compelling examples of developing and implementing influencing strategies that have demonstrably affected the climate of opinion around an issue and ideally, achieved concrete change.
With a proven track record of successfully building relationships with decision makers and influencing their thinking, you’ll have clear examples of writing effectively for a wide range of audiences and of commissioning, understanding and using public attitudinal insights to inform your influencing strategies and/or narrative development.

The Role
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the CEO/Director will be responsible for the overall strategic, financial, and operational leadership of Chelsea Theatre. This is a hands-on role with a focus on balancing the day-to-day running of the operational activities of the venue, with essential components such as stakeholder management, community engagement and income generation.
Key Responsibilities
The postholder will:
• Provide leadership and responsibility for the charity’s purpose, administration and financial management plus ensure compliance with the law and regulations.
• Generate significant earned income from one-off and repeat hirers, including local community organisations, commercial contracts, arts organisations and private hires, with a focus on high quality customer care.
• Increase income from grants, corporates and funds from individuals, with support from Trustees.
• Run the building as a community centre, making an ever-increasing positive impact in the local community and beyond.
• Motivate and engage a small team of staff and volunteers, and broad range of stakeholders and prospective supporters.
• Where necessary, with the team, be capable of delivering a range of operational tasks, such as updating the website and managing the box office systems.
• Act as ambassador for the charity, building relationships with partners and stakeholders in the community, local government and with businesses.
Strategic & Commercial Leadership
• Work with the Board to develop and implement a clear vision and business strategy to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of the Chelsea Theatre.
• Identify and maximise commercial opportunities, including venue hire, sponsorship, and partnerships. Support the Board with fundraising.
• Lead on business development and marketing initiatives to increase revenue while maintaining the venue’s community-focused ethos.
• Ensure the organisation’s mixed team of staff and volunteers are focused on supporting the business’s mission and objectives.
Venue & Operational Management
• Oversee all aspects of venue operations, ensuring the highest standards of efficiency, customer experience, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Develop and manage budgets effectively, ensuring quality financial reporting, financial stability, and responsible stewardship of resources.
• Ability to optimise rental income and diversify income streams, while serving community needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, local authorities, businesses, and community groups.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

Salary: £31,625 - £34,106 pro-rata (depending on experience)

Location: This is currently a blended-working role with two in-office days (Tuesday-Thursday) during term time and the flexibility to work from home during school holidays. Occasional travel to schools and events will be required.
We are currently based at Resource for London near Holloway Road station, however, our office will be moving to another location in London in the coming months.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Our core hours are 09:30 - 16:00 from Monday to Friday.

About the role
The Programmes Lead will play a key role in leading and implementing the delivery of a range of programmes which at present includes Growing the Top, the SEND Developmental Peer Review and the Trust Leaders’ Network (subject to change based on organisational need).
Established in 2011, Challenge Partners is a well-respected nationwide network of practitioners who engage in hard-edged collaboration and mutual accountability to ensure every school community can benefit from the combined wisdom of the education system.
The Programmes Lead will build and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and hold responsibility for the quality and consistency of school leaders’ experience of the programmes. They will work closely with the Programmes Manager and Partnership Coordinators to ensure excellent delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Programmes Manager the Programme Lead will have the following key areas of responsibility and will be expected to undertake other responsibilities commensurate with the role as requested:
Programme Delivery and Development

This group of residents is often unaware of what services are out there to help them, where they are located, and how they access them.
This new role has been created to outreach and engage with private renters in the 2 wards specified and it will also include information production, dissemination and project management work. We are seeking an individual to raise awareness of the Fund’s welfare offer amongst social welfare agencies across the North East of Scotland but also, crucially, to help address the issue of social isolation and feelings of loneliness experienced by some members of the RAF Family.
The post holder will be working with socially isolated individuals to identify meaningfully enriching opportunities to reduce feelings of loneliness, some of whom may have complex and challenging welfare needs, to develop actions plans and coordinate support to overcome any barriers preventing successful connection into these enriching opportunities, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals, have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of the issues affecting the Armed Forces community. Individuals with a social prescribing or working aged veteran support background are encouraged to apply.
This is a community-based position working from home but covering the Inverness, Moray and Aberdeenshire regions primarily, delivering both remote and face to face support. The candidate must have their own vehicle to use to travel around these regions. Occasional travel to Edinburgh and London will be required.
