An exciting opportunity to join our Community Fundraising team. The Volunteer & Community Fundraising Assistant role is the first point of contact for supporter enquiries, provides administrative support across the team and supports Charity activity through our volunteer programme.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money to save the lives of people with cancer, everywhere. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. 

From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. 

We are a very ambitious organisation which has gone through transformational growth over the past five years. Alongside funding an existing programme of world-leading research, treatment and care, the Charity completed its largest capital appeal to date, successfully raising £70 million to build the Oak Cancer Centre at the hospital’s Sutton site, which opened in summer 2023. 

With one in two of us expected to develop some form of cancer, it is essential that we go even further in our fundraising efforts to support the essential work of The Royal Marsden. Therefore, we are delivering our most ambitious strategy yet, that will see us raising at least £215m over the 5-year period.

The Charity is committed its biggest fundraising appeal to date, for a new major development project in Chelsea. There is also an extensive portfolio of engaging projects outside of the capital appeals that help to support all aspects of the hospital’s work to improve the lives of cancer patients. 

This role is an integral part of the Community Fundraising team, providing support to people raising funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and being the first point of contact for enquiries. Dealing directly with supporters and volunteers, the role requires an effective communicator and proactive individual who is passionate about fundraising and volunteering.

We’re looking for a pro-active person to do this varied, ‘hands on’ role at Gorton Central, our community hub and home, where we develop exciting, innovative and quality services and collaborations. The Centre Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day operations of our busy community hub.

The Centre Coordinator will report to the Service and Business Manager, and will line-manager centre and centre volunteers.

Salary: £27,526 - £32,384 pro rata

Location: UK remote - with occasional travel to Haywards Heath and London

Contract: Fixed Term Contract finishing June 2026

We are looking for a confident and organised Projects and Events Executive to plan, support and help to deliver a high-profile event taking place in Quarter 2 of 2026. This is the first time Sightsavers have taken part in this event, which presents excellent fundraising and publicity opportunities; you will utilise your experience of managing and delivering high profile projects or events to ensure the event is a huge success, providing a distinctive and impactful platform for Sightsavers to promote our work.

About you

As the Projects and Events Executive, you will be highly organised with excellent communication skills, including experience of diplomatic and professional liaison with external stakeholders. You will utilise your exceptional time, budget and project management skills in all logistical aspects of the planning and delivery of the event, including volunteer management, accessibility requirements and meeting deliverables and deadlines. A commitment to equality, excellent writing skills and an understanding of accessibility requirements will underpin your work.

Hours

The Projects and Events Executive role can initially be worked in a part time capacity although it will need to increase to full time in the month leading up to the event; flexibility is required in the lead up to and during the event to work occasional unsociable hours and travel within the UK.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

· Proven experience of managing and delivering high profile events or projects

· Demonstrable experience in a role that demanded exceptional organisational skills and communication skills

· Experience of managing volunteers and / or teams

· Experience of liaising effectively with external stakeholders and donors

· Demonstrable experience of effective time and budget management in a busy role with conflicting deadlines

· Flexibility; able to work some unsociable hours in the lead-up to and during the event, and to travel within the UK

We have an exciting opportunity for an Events Fundraising Officer in our Fundraising team at St Joseph’s Hospice.

We are looking for an experienced Events Fundraiser to join our small but dynamic fundraising team. The role will be responsible for promoting and managing a mix of third party challenge events and bespoke events whilst providing excellent stewardship to our event fundraisers. 

Working with the Public Fundraising Manager, the post holder will implement a 5-year action plan to increase income, develop effective stewardship journeys and deliver a varied and successful events calendar.

As our next Chief Executive Officer, you will:

• Governance & Finance: own the annual budget and medium-term financial modelling, deliver full-cost recovery across activity lines and present timely, accurate management information to trustees.

• Operational Leadership: ensure continuity of community services, venue trading and café operations and strengthen operational systems including safeguarding, H&S and business continuity.

• Income Generation: drive commercial performance of venue hire, events and catering, professionalise fundraising (major donors, legacies, corporate partnerships) and lead bids for multi-year statutory contracts.

Who you are:

• A seasoned senior leader with proven experience in a small/medium charity, community organisation or social enterprise that combines front-line delivery with significant premises/estate responsibility.

• Demonstrable track record of leading strategic development and delivering organisational growth while balancing hands-on operational leadership.

• Strong commercial and earned-income expertise, with experience of running successful commercial – ideally site-based - operations.

• Confident in winning and managing statutory contracts and multi-year grant programmes; credible with local authorities, commissioners and corporate partners.

About Cosmic

Cosmic is a small but mighty children’s charity dedicated to supporting the incredible work of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Hammersmith. The Role

This role will play a crucial part in supporting a wide range of fundraising, marketing, and communications activities for Cosmic. As a key member of the Income Generation team, the individual will help raise vital funds and awareness that enable and enhance the charity’s work, whilst also contributing to the delivery of effective marketing and communications that promote our impact and engage our audiences.

This role requires someone with a genuine interest in working across multiple fundraising areas — from corporate partnerships and community fundraising to individual giving, events and challenges, trusts and foundations, event support for Cosmic led events, and in-memory and legacy giving. You will bring strong organisational, communication, and creative skills to support activity across these streams. In addition, you will collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop engaging social media content, enhance brand visibility, and contribute to impactful digital and supporter communications across all of Cosmic’s channels.

This varied and dynamic role will include research, administration, planning, content creation, and creative thinking. You will support the delivery of fundraising activities, events, initiatives, and campaigns, as well as contribute to marketing efforts such as social media, email newsletters, website updates, and storytelling. A key part of the role will be ensuring our supporters, donors, and online audiences receive high-quality, consistent, and engaging communications. With the wider team’s support, the role will also aid the growth of new corporate partnerships.

The individual will have skills in marketing and/or fundraising, which will be transferable. Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Executive and working closely with the wider Income Generation team and the Marketing and Communications Manager, the role has scope for development and growth in this small, but impactful charity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fundraising and income generation support

• Working alongside and supporting members of the Income Generation team, gaining a better understanding of the various fundraising and income generation activities.
• Be a key contact for fundraising enquiries.
• Collation and sending of information, including fundraising materials, to potential and current supporters and advising on queries relating to fundraising.
• Support the organisation, planning, promotion, and delivery of fundraising, stewardship and other events.
• Ensure that all fundraising activity operates with the Fundraising Regulator’s guidelines, code of practice and GDPR practices.
• Identify and support opportunities to raise awareness of the charity including giving presentations, attending meetings and local events.
• Aid the growth of individual giving programmes, including regular giving, one-off donations, and donor stewardship journeys.
• Assist in researching, writing, and submitting grant applications to trusts, foundations, and statutory funders.
• Maintain accurate donor records using the charity’s CRM system, Donorfy, and ensure data is up to date, accurate, compliant, relevant and reportable.
• Support the planning and delivery of fundraising campaigns, appeals, and community events.
• Assist with event set-up and pack-down, ensuring all materials and equipment are in place.
• Provide excellent donor care and stewardship, including timely thank-you communications and proactive engagement with supporters.
• Help identify new fundraising opportunities and potential partners through research and networking.
• Meet with supporters in person and provide a first-class experience for them by providing tours of the units and any tailored information they require.
• Support the administration and logistics for fundraising events, including volunteer coordination and post-event evaluation.

2. Marketing and communications responsibilities

• Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, the website, and campaign materials to raise awareness of the charity’s work.
• Social media content capture and uploading of activities at all Cosmic led events onto all relevant channels.
• Coordinate social media channels, scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and identifying opportunities for growth.
• Support marketing campaigns for fundraising events, appeals, and awareness initiatives.
• Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to ensure brand consistency across all supporter-facing materials.
• Gather stories, quotes and visuals from beneficiaries, supporters, and partner organisations (with appropriate permissions) to promote activities and support to Cosmic.
• Update and maintain website content, ensuring information is accurate, compelling, and user-friendly.
• Assist in producing digital assets, such as graphics, short videos, and email campaigns.
• Conduct basic analytics reporting for digital platforms, tracking engagement, reach, and campaign impact.
• Help coordinate Public Relations activities, including drafting press releases and maintaining media contact lists, in liaison with the Marketing and Communications Manager.

3. Cross-team and administrative responsibilities

• Work closely with the Senior Fundraising Executive, and wider Income Generation team to ensure smooth coordination between fundraising and marketing activities.
• Liaise with clinical partners, hospital staff, and external stakeholders to gather information that supports fundraising and communications content.
• Support the implementation of internal processes for campaign planning, supporter stewardship, and content production.
• Attend events, meetings, and training sessions as needed to represent the charity.
• Provide general administrative support to the fundraising and marketing functions including processing donations, handling enquiries, and maintaining shared resources.
• Contribute ideas and feedback to help refine and develop the charity’s fundraising and marketing approach.
• Audit the inventory of all materials necessary for both events and volunteering.
• Sending thank you letters to supporters in a timely manner.
• Spending time meeting with families and staff on the units, using this time as an opportunity to build positive relationships. Supporting the Service Delivery team with massage days for the clinical staff and other key events such as World Prematurity Day and other ad hoc and seasonal activities.
• The role is incredibly varied, and no two days are the same.

About the role

We’re looking for a highly organised, creative, and proactive Events Officer to coordinate and deliver our programme of in-person and online events.

You’ll be the go-to person for making sure everything runs smoothly — from planning and logistics to communication and on-the-day delivery. Working closely with other part-time staff, volunteers, and local event hosts, you’ll play a key role in bringing the BMS community together.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who loves making things happen, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in creating professional and welcoming events.

What you’ll be doing

• Plan and deliver a wide range of BMS events — from scientific meetings to workshops, training sessions, and outreach days.
• Manage event logistics including venues, accommodation, catering, AV and delegate communications.
• Coordinate online events using platforms such as Zoom.
• Liaise with speakers, volunteers, and committees to make sure everything runs seamlessly.
• Oversee event budgets and timelines.
• Create promotional materials (e.g. digital programmes, flyers, graphics) using Canva or similar tools.
• Handle registrations, enquiries, and on-the-day coordination.
• Support event evaluation and continuous improvement.

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has at least 5 years’ experience delivering successful events in a charity, membership, or learned society setting.
• Is confident running both in-person and virtual events.
• Brings strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a solutions-focused mindset.
• Is great at building relationships and working with volunteers, working groups and committees.
• Is comfortable working independently from home, while staying connected with a remote team.
• Has experience with event tools, databases and GDPR-compliant data handling.
• Can create professional-looking event materials using Canva (or similar).
• Desirable: a background or interest in natural sciences or mycology would be ideal, but curiosity and enthusiasm are just as valuable.

Working arrangements

• Permanent, part-time (3 days / 21 hours per week)
• Flexible hours across the week, with occasional evenings or weekends.
• Home-based, with occasional UK travel and overnight stays for events.

We are excited to be re-launching our Give it a Go programme, which offers one-off events and activities designed to help our diverse student body build connections and feel settled. Give It A Go (GIAG) is a programme of events open to all students at the University of Kent with the aim to provide a variety of activities for a broad range of students to try out. These could be craft sessions, sports, trips off campus and much more, we want to help students make connections, encouraging belonging, try something new, meet new people and develop their skills.

We also want to enhance the events we deliver for university open days and offer holder days to showcase why students should choose Kent. As a result, we are seeking someone who is innovative, creative, and experienced in delivering events—someone who is proactive, able to work independently, and confident collaborating across departments.

The postholder will be part of a flexible and dynamic team and will be required to work weekends and evenings as necessary to support open days and other events. They must therefore be adaptable and flexible in their approach to working hours.

What you will be doing:

• To oversee and co-ordinate our Give it a Go Programme, ensuring a variety of safe, inclusive and engaging events, trips and opportunities are delivered across the year. Day to day activities might include planning, setting up and delivering events through a small student staff team, liaising with our marketing department to promote the programme, monitoring attendance, seeking student feedback and completing risk assessments and ensuring the safety of attendees.
• To co-ordinate our presence at Arrivals Weekend and deliver a series of events as part of Welcome Week including supporting the delivery of Welcome Fair.
• To co-ordinate Kent Student Union’s presence at University Open Days and Offer Holder Days held on Saturdays, ensuring they are staffed, interactive and showcase Kent Students’ Union’s impact on the student experience to prospective students.
• To support the delivery of wider KSU events as and when required such as Summerball.
• This role involves regular manual handling tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving items. Training, guidance, and appropriate equipment will be provided. Candidates must be able to perform these duties safely, with reasonable adjustments considered where applicable.

• Experience of managing people (paid staff or volunteers) to deliver outstanding results.
• Experience of financial management
• A track record of working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and building effective relationships
• Experience of promoting and delivering a wide range of events

Knowledge

• A good knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice in the management of health and safety including the completion of risk assessments.
• An understanding of the current issues affecting higher education institutions and students

• Skilled and committed user of IT, enabling efficiencies and improved service using technology.

The SLA supports approximately 2000 members with advice, training and advocacy across the UK. The Training and Events Manager will form an essential part of the SLA team working to run a high quality, inspiring and engaging events and training to help us deliver on our mission to support members, so that more children and young people reach their full potential through the school library. You will lead on the organisation of our annual conference; develop and maintain a calendar of events and training for members and non-member audiences; and support the team with all event related administration and logistics.  Events at the SLA include member meet ups (in person and online), events in our branch network across 23 regions, professional development and training, and our SLA Awards ceremonies.

Your work will be at the forefront of our member offer, helping to build links with membership, support members, build relationships with key stakeholders and sponsors, delivering high-quality training and impactful events offer across the year. An agile and flexible thinker, you will be creative, with a flair for spotting opportunities for professional development, and have a keen eye for detail with an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Using your project management experience, you will work with the CEO, SLA team colleagues and subject matter experts and facilitators to develop and deliver a high quality and competitive calendar of events and training.

We are seeking a Community Development Officer to lead a major in-progress project improving recognition, support, and care for people with smell and taste disorders at a local level across England. 

This three-year, volunteer-led programme, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund has achieved significant success in its first eighteen months. We are now recruiting a new postholder to take this strong foundation forward through the next phase of delivery. 

Over the past eighteen months, we have recruited and established a thriving network of volunteers and local groups across England. This momentum is expected to continue. The Community Development Officer will work closely with existing volunteers and groups, primarily remotely, while also attending in-person events and meetings in different parts of England as needed. 

The postholder will lead the ongoing recruitment, training, and support of volunteer groups, working with them to identify opportunities for local outreach and engagement. Together, you will ensure that more people affected by smell and taste disorders access the information, support, and recognition they need, while continuing to raise awareness of these often-unrecognised sensory impairments. 

Our volunteer groups bring together people with lived experience alongside experts from the food, beverage and fragrance sectors, and other relevant fields.
