Our office is a short walk from King’s Cross station in London. For this role, we expect that you will come to the office (London) 1 or 2 days a week.One day will be on a Tuesday (a day where all of Income Generation come into the office). The other day is flexible depending on team meetings etc.You can work remotely for the rest of the time. Equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time.  We encourage all colleagues to visit member hospices to help inform our work and you may be able to work from there.

Travel to corporate partner events and in-person meetings will be expected, and so some weeks might require more than 1 or 2 days in the office.

The Senior Partnerships Executive will be responsible for leading on and significantly growing our corporate partnerships across our diverse portfolio, exploring and maximising opportunities to raise funds for, and awareness, of our vital work supporting and championing hospice care across the UK.

As an experienced Account Manager, you will be able to spot opportunities across all of Hospice UK’s work to maximise these partnerships, whether that’s adding strategic value to our fundraising with Aspire Pharma, diversifying our work with Co-op Bank, supporting our longest partnership with the National Garden Scheme, helping Dignity Funerals to grow our Dying Matters Community Grants programme, or helping to launch our new partnership with People’s Postcode Lottery. You will be responsible for a portfolio of corporate partnerships to the value of £1.2m.

The role

We are looking for an Executive Assistant to support our CEO and COO. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention for details. LTSB has grown significantly over the past few years. Our work is only possible with the generosity and commitment of our supporters. You will have a positive approach and enjoy working as part of a team.

About us:

Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and to their friends, families and carers. Our projects empower ostomates to return to sports, hobbies and other activities after their surgery and give them the confidence to take on fresh challenges. We advocate for ostomates’ rights and are their voice on the bigger issues. Our campaigns raise awareness of ‘life with a stoma’ and encourage organisations to make their facilities more inclusive.

About the role:

As the Fundraising Executive you will work to grow income through developing our community engagement, attracting, building and managing relationships with a range of supporters (individual donors and fundraisers, community groups, local businesses, volunteers etc). You will lead on the stewardship of events and challenges, including our annual Step Up campaign, by supporting individuals and groups to raise funds through fundraising activities. The post-holder will also support the recording of donations, send appropriate acknowledgements, review fundraising materials, and prepare fundraising content for social media, our website and our quarterly magazine, Tidings.

You will be joining a collaborative and innovative team of individuals who put our community first and are connected by a passion to make a real difference. You’ll have an active role providing LGBTQ+ affirmative support and empowering LGBTQ+ community members with the opportunity to work innovatively & responsively to current issues & concerns impacting theLGBTQ+ community.  You will raise the visibilty and inclusion of LGBTQ+ people in local decision making and enhance thier voice.You will have the opportunity to work with other organisations and lead the work of our LGBTQ+ community forum.    You will work within our LGBTQ+ community events, forum and group support services.  In this role you will have opportunity to develop, support & deliver community activities & events; design, administer, & facilitate group programmes, sessions and workshops; provide LGBTQ+ affirmative support & awareness raising; support & empower LGBTQ+ community members; promote, market & administer services & events; plus support & supervise sessional staff & volunteers. 

Full time: between 30-37 hours a week subject to successful applicants’ preference

You must be available to work a Tuesday evening, plus occasional other evening and/ or weekends, if required.

N.B. Initially you will work remotely, via online home-based working whilst we relocate to new premises in East London

Salary: £34,943 per annum

Our office is a short walk from King’s Cross station in London. For this role, we expect that you will come to the office (London) 1 or 2 days each week (with one of these days to be a Tuesday) for team meetings, including a quarterly ‘all staff’ event. You can work remotely for the rest of the time. Equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time.  We encourage all colleagues to visit member hospices to help inform our work and you may be able to work from there.

Contract: Permanent. Full time role working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The Role:

Hospice UK has an exciting new fundraising strategy with a focus on digital fundraising and supporter journeys. We are looking to significantly increase our engagement with new and existing supporters across all areas of fundraising. The Digital Fundraising and Engagement Executive will be responsible for maximising income, supporter recruitment and retention through digital channels, for both individual giving and events.

Reporting into the Head of Events & Supporter Engagement and working very closely with the External Affairs team you will deliver a cohesive and impactful approach to digital fundraising and supporter journeys. The Digital Fundraising and Engagement Executive will lead on recruitment and stewardship for a number of third-party challenge events as well as supporting on the optimisation of integrated digital campaigns and donor journeys.

We are looking for:

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate a background in digital fundraising (1-2 years’ experience) and an understanding of supporter journeys and social media advertising. Some understanding of SEO would be desirable but you would not need to be an expert in this area.

The Team:

The Events and Supporter Engagement team forms part of the wider Income Generation and Grants Directorate. The team’s focus is on raising funds from individuals through challenge and special events, digital fundraising, giving in memory, legacy giving, regular and payroll giving and one off donations.

The team is made up of 5 people (including this role), who work closely together to help achieve our goals. The wider Income Generation and Grants team consists of 20 people in total. We meet regularly through team meetings and coming together in the office on a Tuesday, which helps to create a supportive working environment.

As our Senior Social Media Community Executive, you’ll engage, activate, and retain our social media communities. You’ll be proactive in raising our brand, building community, and driving conversation. You’ll be joining a team of community managers who are the voice of the British Heart Foundation on our social channels.

Adhering to brand, tone of voice, and community guidelines, you’ll use your experience and knowledge of social media communities across a variety of platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok. Being brave, you will jump on trends coming through from earned conversation. You’ll build relationships with our partners, sponsors and influencers and provide excellent information and support to our community. 

You’ll be part of a Social Media team that also manage the social strategy, calendar planning, content management and advocacy. Across the charity, there will be a wealth of BHF experts to work with, from Cardiac Nurses and Researchers to Nutritionists.

Working arrangements

This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London Office. 

 
At the BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average.  The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

Some out of hours work and travel is required, as you might attend and provide live coverage of high-profile fundraising and sporting events around the UK (time off in lieu available).
 
About you
 
As our perfect candidate, you bring solid experience and/or knowledge of community management and customer service for social media with experience of working professionally with a variety of platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok. 

Diplomatic, brave, and empathetic, you have proven experience of community management, moderation, customer support and crisis management.

Able to follow brand guidelines, tone of voice, and community guidelines, you have experience of social listening platforms, social copywriting, and running social media for a complex portfolio in a matrix organisation or professional environment.

A motivated and ambitious individual with excellent organisational, and interpersonal skills, you have excellent customer facing communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to use your own initiative to problem-solve.
