About the role

Reporting to the Events and Engagement Manager, you’ll coordinate and deliver a range of community fundraising initiatives that contribute directly to Big C’s income targets.

A key focus of this role is responsibility for developing and growing our Regular Giving and Legacies income streams. You’ll nurture supporter relationships, promoting long-term giving and legacy pledge opportunities to help ensure these vital areas of income continue to grow.

Alongside this, engage with local groups and organisations helping to deliver activities that inspire individuals and communities to get involved. You’ll act as a visible ambassador for Big C, representing the charity at events and cheque presentations. This is a proactive role that combines relationship-building, income generation and coordination — ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the community while keeping everything organised behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver community fundraising initiatives that directly contribute to agreed income targets
• Take ownership of Big C’s Regular Giving and Legacies fundraising activity, driving engagement and income growth
• Build and maintain strong relationships with supporters, local organisations and community groups
• Identify new fundraising opportunities and support the development of agreed campaigns and activities
• Provide tailored support to third-party fundraisers to help maximise their fundraising potential

Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, London SE16.  Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. This role will create real impact in the Lord’s Hill Community by working alongside our Academy colleagues to support families of Oasis students and the wider community. Helping more families to engage with support and provision, including the therapeutic space of our city farm.

The Volunteer and Events Manager will develop and implement a volunteer strategy and annual RLSS UK plan of events, for all Directorates, which evolves to include opportunities as they arise. To do so successfully, you will be a proactive, dynamic and experienced Volunteer and Events Manager who will lead our centralised management function with passion, excitement and dedication to RLSS UK’s purpose, mission and vision.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a professional volunteer and events function ensuring supply and demand needs are met across RLSS UK and supporting all teams to embed a consistent and coordinated approach
• To develop, implement and oversee the delivery of the volunteer strategy

Acorns Children’s Hospice provides specialist care and support for babies, children and young people who are life limited or life threatened. Supporting over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families annually, Acorns is a vital lifeline for families across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire during unimaginably difficult times.

Over the past three years, Acorns’ leadership has enhanced collaboration and innovation across the charity and embedded an organisation-wide fundraising culture.

With a newly integrated Partnerships Team spanning corporate partnerships and community fundraising, and an ambitious £5m appeal ahead, Acorns is now seeking a Senior Community Partnerships Manager to oversee and deliver the charity’s community fundraising strategy, driving c.£1m of income. Reporting to the Head of Partnerships,  you will personally manage a portfolio of key community partnerships while leading and developing a team of three Community Partnerships Managers. While the team operates on a patch basis (Birmingham/Black Country and Worcester), you will take a lead on integration across Acorns, working closely with Retail and Care colleagues.

About the role

As Senior Community Partnerships Manager, you will:

• Report to the Head of Partnerships and line manage three Community Partnerships Managers, ensuring plans are focused, targets/KPIs are set and met and ROI is prioritised
• Oversee key accounts worth circa £1m across the team, seeking opportunities to uplift/evolve, whilst delivering exceptional donor experience for SME, community group, and association partners
• Be the key account manager for a range of partnerships that have the potential for growth, are higher profile or have a wider geography than one patch alone
• Work closely with the Corporate Team to ensure smooth handover of partners with higher value potential or commercial complexity or in reverse for those that focus more on staff fundraising alone
• Network map and build relationships across key sectors, utilising Acorns senior leaders to open doors
• Contribute to the development of fundraising products and campaigns that appeal to community audiences
• Collaborate with Retail, Care and other fundraising teams to maximise referrals and cross-team opportunities

About you

Essential skills and experience: 

• Proven experience of growing income through regional community engagement, ideally within a charity setting
• Either line management or substantial coaching/mentoring experience
• Experience of working with community leaders
• Experience and evidence of first-class relationship management techniques and donor care
• Experience of organising events, managing volunteers, risk assessments and health and safety requirements
• Track record of cross-team working with examples of impact, ideally this will include collaborating with corporate partnerships teams

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Salary: £45,068 to £51,242 (Negotiable)

We are seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer with a proven commitment to survivor-led practice, outstanding organisational leadership capability, and relevant therapeutic competence, to provide strategic and inspirational leadership for the organisation’s future.

Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service (LSLCS) exists to provide compassionate, person-centred, trauma-informed crisis support to people across Leeds and West Yorkshire.  Founded in 1999 by individuals with lived experience of mental health crisis, the organisation has grown to deliver a range of services for adults, children and young people while remaining rooted in survivor leadership and empowerment. LSLCS has a long history of innovation and excellence; receiving multiple national awards.

The CEO holds overarching responsibility for the current service provisions, with the support of operational directors and service managers.  LSLCS challenges and shapes current practices; aligned with the needs of those accessing crisis services, with a strong emphasis on gaining and reviewing service user and team feedback to inform decision-making.  The CEO must be able to review feedback openly, regularly and with genuine curiosity in shaping the future of the organisation.

The CEO provides strategic leadership to ensure that LSLCS continues to deliver high-quality, values-led crisis services.  Working closely with the Board of Trustees, the CEO ensures the organisation operates in alignment with its survivor-led ethos, trauma-informed principles, and person-centred philosophy.  The post-holder champions the mission of LSLCS, strengthens its culture, and maintains the organisation’s reputation as a trusted and innovative provider of crisis support.

As Operations Manager (OM), you’ll lead safe, high‑quality services, guide a committed frontline team, ensure compliance, strengthen partnerships, and drive performance across all operations; keeping our work moving from outreach and hotspot engagement to groups, community stalls, and the everyday moments where trust is built. As part of BUBIC’s commitment to meeting people where they are, the post holder will also share night‑outreach duties with the Team Leader, working one evening per week (5pm-midnight, typically Wednesday or Friday) to reach those most visible and vulnerable at night, enabling early intervention, safer engagement, and stronger pathways into support. The role 

The Events Assistant will support our Engagement Officers in the day-to-day coordination and delivery of the events and outreach, such as our Fellas’ Forums and Fellas’ Fairs. Working alongside the Engagement Officer, Engagement Manager, Office Administrator, and wider team, they will assist in the promotion, organisation, facilitation, and evaluation of events and engagement activities, including large-scale events. 

They will support a range of administrative and practical tasks, demonstrating strong organisational skills, the ability to multitask, and confidence in completing delegated responsibilities. This role will require travel across Essex and occasionally beyond. Please note some events will take place during evenings and weekends. 

The Events Assistant will also contribute to wider engagement initiatives, including both traditional and innovative outreach methods, such as digital engagement or film-based activities, supporting project outcomes and community participation. 

Working as part of the HWE team, the Events Assistant will help ensure that events, projects, and activities are well-coordinated, inclusive, and delivered in line with the principles and standards outlined in the HWE Strategic Plan. 

To work with HWE staff, and especially the Business Planning Team, to support the delivery of high-quality and well-organised HWE ongoing forums and events. This includes: 

• project planning, to ensure that the aims, objectives, and outcome plans are in place and that the intended activity is likely to achieve those outcomes; that suitable milestones and monitoring are in place; that budgets are realistic and represent best value; and that risks have been assessed. 

• project delivery, including working with and coordinating HWE ambassadors and staff, as well as external partners/stakeholders, suppliers and contractors, to ensure that HWE projects and events are delivered according to plan; 

• ensuring that project delivery is on time and on budget, and that risk mitigations are in place; 

• working with the HWE communications team to ensure that there is a PR and communications plan in place, and that it is implemented as appropriate; 

• ensuring that projects/events are evaluated appropriately, that outcomes are monitored, and that feedback is captured and provided to stakeholders. 

Key accountabilities 

• Demonstrable experience of working on projects and/or events. 

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing a potentially unpredictable workload. 

• Knowledge and experience of using IT systems. 

• Experience and knowledge of social media and its applications. 

• Experience of community outreach and engagement.

• Ability to carry out events in evenings / weekends as required.

• To conduct other tasks and duties as considered reasonable by the CEO. 

This role involves a Level 3 Apprenticeship with Colchester Institute.
