We are recruiting a Fundraising and Engagement Assistant apprentice to provide outstanding data management, supporter care and assist the Challenge Events Fundraising Officer and wider fundraising team to support our income generation.
What you will do:
Support the Fundraising team to uphold a high level of supporter care with a view to retention and increased engagement.
Efficiently and accurately process and reconcile all incoming donation information, received daily, weekly and monthly from multiple digital sources, onto our database and acknowledge these within agreed timescales.
Analyse all online income including but not exclusively from Just Giving, Enthuse, PayPal Giving Fund and Facebook along with all other income.
Ensure that all third party received income is recorded on Raisers Edge and produce accurate reports for internal stakeholders.
Be the first point of contact for challenge event supporters and manage and respond to queries.
Record and update non-financial supporter information such as, communication preferences, research information and other personal information in line with our Data Protection policy.
Distribute all parcels in a timely manner, making sure everything is recorded accurately.
To be successful in this role you will have:
English and Maths GCSE or equivalent grade C or above
Previous experience providing dedicated administration support.
Experience of handling sensitive information appropriately
Experience of working effectively within a team environment and assisting colleagues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write reports.
Ability to handle calls and enquiries from stakeholders including people who may be vulnerable and /or bereaved sensitively and appropriately.

The apprenticeship programme is due to start in September 2024, provided by the Juice Academy - an industry-led apprenticeship provider. They are partnered with Jane Montague Consultancy to deliver the 13-15 month Fundraiser Level 3 programme. Apprentices work on the job within a charity whilst receiving 20% off the job training from current industry experts. The training sessions are a hybrid of face-to-face learning (two optional in-person days) in Manchester, and virtual half-day classrooms via Zoom. Apprentices also receive the on-the-job training in the workplace. The final three months of the course will be the ‘assessment period’ during which apprentices go through an End Point Assessment and are graded a pass, merit or distinction. Apprentices currently have a 94% distinction rate. The Juice Academy are part of the Apprentify Group, and development coaches support apprentices throughout the programme.

The CPVO programme is aimed at extending an offer to older service veterans, inviting them to engage with our In Pensioners and enjoy the sense of community and comradeship that is at the heart of the Chelsea Pensioner community. While most of our programme activity is centred on the Royal Hospital Chelsea estate in London, the programme seeks to expand in reach to other UK regions where there is a sizeable veteran population who might benefit from engagement with our team of Chelsea Pensioners, staff and volunteers. There are also plans to develop a digital offer.
The Veterans’ Outreach Officer will support the Head of Veterans’ Outreach in developing and managing the programme of activities encouraging engagement and social interaction between Chelsea Pensioners and other service veterans thereby helping to alleviate the social isolation and loneliness felt by many older veterans. Responsibilities will include promoting the programme within veterans' networks and finding innovative ways to connect with veterans; the management of themed events both at the Royal Hospital Chelsea and further afield as we seek to expand nationwide. GFS is a feminist organisation with a mission to empower girls and young women in England and Wales to live their best lives. Girls as young as 6 tell us that they cannot be themselves. This causes problems for them and society. So, we offer an early intervention service for girls living in areas of deprivation to have the greatest impact.
This is an exciting role with an opportunity to lead the charity into the 150th Year of delivery and with a new strategy to address need. It will involve working with the leadership team and all departments but also the board and their support committees, the ambassadors, and presidents as well as the wonderful team of volunteers across England and Wales.
A great deal has been done to prepare the organisation for such an important time and so now there is a real opportunity for this role to lead in being a figurehead for the charity and representing all that is achieved at GFS in national events and discussions, to best represent the girls of today.
Our new strategy is built around pillars of Impact, Brand and Sustainability with an ambition to grow in delivery as well as reputation. GFS is aware that the work done to listen to and amplify girls’ voices is important because they have so much to say about what needs to change and from a very young age. This role will be key to making this happen.

Job Responsibilities:
1) Strategic Direction
Shape the future of KRAN’s advocacy and support services so they stay relevant to the needs of our young people and developments in the sector Maintain and develop networks and partnerships with senior sector stakeholders to ensure our advocacy is robust and dynamic at a strategic level. Undertake systematic analysis using external and internal evidence on advocacy and support, with effective collaboration across KRAN and its wider stakeholders, engaging effectively with the CEO and Board to guide strategic decisions
2) Operational Performance
Maintain the highest standards of delivery of advocacy and support services, attuned to the needs of young people and developments in the sector, across our main and orbital hubs in Kent Support the CEO and Core Team with fundraising and reporting to funders and partners Monitor and evaluate the impact of our work, with our Evidence and Impact Officer, ensuring accurate data collection that is GDPR compliant, with regular reporting to the CEO and Board
3) Safeguarding and Risk Management
Ensure the implementation of safeguarding and risk management policies and procedures in Advocacy and Support services and to review and continually ensure best practice with the Senior Management Team
4) People and Stakeholder Management
Manage the performance of the Advocacy and Support Team for quality and continuity of service, while ensuring effective collaboration with other teams staff and partners as required Identify and build capabilities of team members, sessional staff and volunteers to maintain optimum performance, being inclusive in approach and fair in actions Building effective, positive engagement with external partners, such as liaising with local councils and service delivery organisations and partners, including as a critical friend.

As a Public Engagement and Commercial Officer, you will play a key role in supporting departmental objectives and key projects. From managing administrative tasks to coordinating events and overseeing site diary management, this role offers a diverse range of responsibilities in a stimulating environment.

Main responsibilities:
*Undertake project work, updating Standard Operating Procedures across the team.
*Organise staff administration, including rotas, timesheets, and HR documentation.
*Manage department expenses and stock procurement.
