About the role:
This is a great time to be joining MAG as we unveil a new five-year organisational strategy and an ambitious fundraising strategy to transform our income across the UK, US and globally. As part of the Global Fundraising Team, the Digital Fundraising and Engagement Officer will support the delivery of MAG’s digital fundraising, campaigns and engagement activity to drive online action and engagement with target audiences. You will help develop compelling calls to action which have the power to mobilise support, help grow our digital channels and grow and establish audiences. This is an opportunity to work in a growing and high priority area at MAG with the ability to make a real impact on our digital engagement within the entire Global Fundraising Team.
About you:
We are looking for an exceptional Digital Fundraising and Engagement Officer to join our dynamic and successful Fundraising team. The successful candidate will have demonstratable experience of creating marketing content. You will be self-motivated, creative and have the ability to produce digital content which is instantly engaging and has both an emotional and intellectual punch. The role holder will have experience in using the latest social media trends and developments in order to manage and grow online communities and to engage as well as implementing digital plans that expand our reach, impact and income.
The successful candidate will be pro-active and have excellent communication skills. You will be expected to work across our fundraising team, helping to develop and strengthen digital engagement across all relevant online platforms. This will require excellent interpersonal skill and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues throughout the organisation.

We’ve grown a lot over the last 15 years and our weekly community meals now run in more than 85 towns and cities across England and Wales. You will have experience working within media or PR, with a track record of securing high quality media coverage. You will have knowledge of the media landscape, and the ability to craft a press release, pitch a story, work with case studies, and write blog posts.

The Role:

The Events and Supporter Engagement team forms part of the wider Income Generation and Grants Directorate. The team’s focus is on raising funds from individuals through challenge and special events, digital fundraising, giving in memory, legacy giving, regular and payroll giving and one off donations.
The team is made up of 5 people (including this role), who work closely together to help achieve our goals. The wider Income Generation and Grants team consists of 20 people in total. About the role
- This is an exciting time for the Fundraising manager to join the team to aid in the income growth for Christ Church and St. Matthew's, including support for Agape, the community missional project.

Arts Emergency, a mentoring charity and support network aiming to address the inequalities in the creative and cultural sectors, is looking for an experienced and motivated fundraiser to provide leadership and management for fundraising activities.
Since 2013, Arts Emergency has been providing 16-25 year olds in London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and beyond with a trained mentor working in their field of interest. Mentors help Young Talent set goals, explore their passions and make decisions about higher education, training and careers. After they complete a year of mentoring, Young Talent can continue to access opportunities, advice, resources and paid work from the Arts Emergency Network until they turn 26. The network is made up of thousands of cultural professionals who’ve all offered to share crucial gateways into hard to crack industries like TV, publishing and architecture with young people.
This position will be responsible for raising the necessary income to ensure Arts Emergency’s high-quality, person focused, asset-based services for young people are sustainably funded and can
scale. This is a new role that reports to the Director of Fundraising & Marketing, overseeing a diverse income portfolio including individual giving, major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate donations, commercial income and community fundraising. The Head of Fundraising will have a particular focus on managing and growing the charity’s income from individuals and organisations, with an aim to increase overall fundraising to £1.25m in 2026.
Arts Emergency are seeking candidates that are passionate about building and developing strong teams and who can implement ambitious plans for funding work by making best use of their large community of young people, volunteers and organisations across the Arts, Humanities and in the Cultural and Creative industries. You will be an inclusive leader with the ability to inspire and motivate others, with a strong understanding of charitable income streams gained from experience working at a similar level in a small organisation or in a senior position within a larger organisation/team. We are an ambitious Hospital charity with an exciting opportunity to join us on our team as a Fundraising Assistant, initially on a three month contract with potential to extend.
We currently raise between £1-2m a year for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust which has four sites local to Hertfordshire, including the Lister Hospital (Stevenage) and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (North London). About you
Ideally you will already have experience in an administration or customer service role and looking to start a career in fundraising. You will be looking for 20-37.5 hours a week and can work flexibly including some evenings and weekends to support at fundraising events.
Main duties of the job
- Provide support to the department on a range of administrative tasks including, dealing with enquiries (postal, telephone, email, face to face), opening and sorting post.
- Work to build excellent relationships with donors to provide a high standard of customer care.
- Process one-off and regular donations ensuring procedures are followed and information is recorded correctly onto the database and thank you letters are sent.
- Work with cancer centre volunteers to support the team with administration tasks.
- To undertake specific fundraising projects and attend events as necessary or as required to support the department’s fundraising.

- Support all fundraising activity and represent the charity at internal and external events.

Job Purpose:
This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the Charity operations. This role is the first point of contact for supporters and requires outstanding customer care/ donor stewardship skills. The post holder is expected to foster excellent working relationships with all members of the Charity team, donors – both existing and potential – and Trust staff. This role will provide support to the fundraising team and with HR processing for the Charity, whilst also supporting with our hospital and online shop.
Main Duties/Tasks
Fundraising & Office duties
Undertake day to day administrative tasks as directed by the Fundraising & People Team Leader and Senior Team, including the preparation of letters, reports and memos, ensuring the work is of a high standard, professional and accurate. Adhering to sensitive information protocols and keeping sensitive information confidential.
Deal with all incoming telephone enquiries in a professional and helpful capacity and direct all incoming calls correctly and take accurate messages. Adhere to any confidential or sensitive information protocols.
Contribute to the efficient running of the public Charity office by receiving all donors and visitors in a welcoming and friendly manner.
Provide excellent customer care/ donor stewardship in all interactions with donors.
Manage the mail, ensuring it is opened, distributed and any donor correspondence is responded to in a timely manner.
Process donations in line with established receipting procedures.
Adhere to audit procedures and liaise with the Charity’s auditors.
Carrying out filing in line with office procedures and ensuring the safe storage and archiving of documents/records on a regular basis.
Provide support to the senior management team, including organising and scheduling meetings and room bookings.
Undertake banking procedures and ensure donations are accurately recorded and banked.
Hospital & Online Shop
Process online orders for the shop in a timely manner.
Run regular reports for the Fundraising & People Team Leader relating to online sales.
Support the management of the online and hospital shop, ensuring they are stocked, and products are displayed in the best way.
Provide good customer service within the shop inside the hospital Atrium.
Cash up the till, ensuring sales are correctly recorded and takings are passed through for banking.
Database support
Process donations on the CRM database, liaising with fundraising teams to ensure this is recorded correctly, including from online platforms.
Produce analytical reports from the fundraising database system, for audit purposes.
HR support
Provide HR administrative support within the areas of:
· Recruitment, including coordinating the recruitment process and the induction of new starters;
· Ensuring all staff have a DBS in line with the Trust requirements;
· Administration of staff annual leave allowance and absence reporting;
· Creating staff correspondence letters, including pay award, furlough or other required communication; and
· Attending and minuting HR meetings where required.
Other Duties

The charity is currently conducting a four-day working week trial, due to end on 30th September 2024.
