Looking for an exciting opportunity to work for a university with a reputation for producing the most CEOs in the UK?

We are very excited to be working with Heriot-Watt University who are searching for a Development Executive to join their Development and Alumni team. As well as world-class teaching and leading-edge relevant research, Heriot-Watt University are renowned for producing business leaders meaning there is a fantastic, warm pool of donors and prospects.

As Development Executive, you will manage high-net-worth individuals and actively secure major philanthropic gifts to help the university achieve its strategic aims. You will have the opportunity to build on a large pool of existing donors and prospects to generate significant income. With campuses across the UK, Dubai and Malaysia, you will become part of an international community with the potential to travel. Within this supportive organisation, you will have the opportunity to expand your skills and the potential to develop and progress.

You will need:

  • Experience in fundraising, this can be in the higher education or charity sector
  • Excellent abilities in stewardship and relationship management skills
  • An ambitious and tenacious personality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary: £36,000 - £42,000
Contract: Permanent Full time

Location: Edinburgh – relocation allowance provided
