About the role
As Marketing and Communications Assistant, you will help us tell compelling stories about the work we do and the difference we make to children’s lives. This exciting role would suit someone looking to gain experience in the charity sector and learn more about different areas of marketing and fundraising. Experience of using Adobe InDesign is essential.
Key responsibilities
The workload will be varied and rewarding. Key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in developing marketing and fundraising campaigns from concept to completion.
- Design and produce print and digital materials, and support basic video editing.
- Create social media content, schedule posts, and update website content.
- Assist in marketing our mental health services to schools and promoting access to our family centres.
- Work with service teams to design engaging resources to support our work with children and families.
- Contribute to events, deliver presentations and manage communications with supporters.
- Help to distribute gifts and food to hundreds of disadvantaged families at Christmas.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fundraising Officer to join the fundraising team at the Batten Disease Family Association CIO (BDFA).
The BDFA, founded in 1998 is the only patient organisation in the UK for families affected by Batten disease, a rare and terminal neurodegenerative condition that affects children and young adults. The BDFA offers informed guidance and support to families and the professionals who work with them, as well as actively raising awareness, and promoting research into the management of Batten disease to improve patient care pathways and ultimately find a cure.

We’re looking for an individual who has some experience in fundraising, particularly leading on all aspects of community fundraising, developing and nurturing relationships with volunteer fundraising groups and individual supporters. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of our CEO to develop community fundraising maximising the funds raised by volunteer fundraisers and developing supporter engagement. The successful candidate will also work alongside our Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer to support our Trusts and Foundations income generation.
The Ideal Candidate for this role will have:
- Experience in all aspects of community fundraising including events, assisting fundraisers to develop imaginative fundraising ideas and inspiring new supporters to raise funds whilst maintaining relationships with existing supporters
- Experience in building and sustaining long-term relationships with fundraising groups and individual supporters
- Experience in managing effective and creative fundraising communications on social media and the website
- Ability to contribute to the overall Trusts and Foundations income stream, including proactively researching and identifying grant funding opportunities
- Ability to lead on creative fundraising campaigns around key events such as Batten disease awareness day and Christmas
This job requires a motivated individual who has a passion for all those within our Batten community and a strong desire to support the development and financial growth of the BDFA. The role is full time (35 hours per week) and is home based with occasional travel around the UK to meet donors and support fundraising events.

● Introduction:
At F&W and Burnage Foodbanks we share a vision of a future where there is no need for people to attend foodbanks. We are working towards this ambition and are continually looking at ways to assist our foodbank users to achieve this. Meanwhile, until we reach our objective, there is still a need for emergency food assistance across our communities. This is an exciting opportunity to proactively lead and grow fundraising across both F&W and Burnage Foodbank, to help us continue to meet the emergency food needs of those most impoverished in our communities.
● Through this new organisational role, you will proactively create and grow fundraising income opportunities with individuals, community groups, local businesses and grant giving trusts and foundations. You will be at the heart of our local community, bringing our cause to life and building lasting donor relationships.
● Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven track record of building relationships with individuals, community groups, local businesses, trusts and foundations and other donors to achieve and exceed annual income targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). ● You will develop, establish and manage a fundraising portfolio capable of generating in excess of £150k per annum. This will include establishing and leading supporter relationships and, where appropriate, to support other senior stakeholders in leading such relationships.
● You will establish a fundraising pipeline for both F&W Foodbank and Burnage Foodbank, incorporating a range of KPI’s that can be tracked and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income.

● Every fortnight you will meet to report on progress on an operational level, and every quarter you will meet with representatives of both trustee boards to review progress against the fundraising project objectives outputs and KPIs. ● You will forge strong relationships with colleagues across the wider Trussell Trust network, sharing best practice and learning from other charities across the network. Skills
● You will have proven and substantial fundraising experience, covering at least two of these areas: trusts fundraising, fundraising with local businesses, fundraising with individuals and community groups.
● With excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, you will inspire and motivate existing and prospective supporters, providing excellent stewardship and crafting compelling and winning funding proposals and appeals.
● You will have experience of setting, managing and reporting against fundraising KPI’s.

The Fundraising Administrator is a key support role within Muslim Charity’s Community Engagement and Fundraising Team. You will help deliver smooth, effective fundraising operations by supporting events, campaigns, volunteer engagement and community activities. The role combines administration, community hub management, volunteer coordination and frontline communication, ensuring our supporters, partners and beneficiaries receive an excellent experience.
You will maintain departmental fundraising plans, support the organisation of events, campaigns and challenges, and act as the first point of contact for fundraising and volunteer enquiries across phone, email and social media. The role requires strong coordination with the Programmes Team for project updates and reporting, along with maintaining databases and online fundraising pages such as JustGiving, LaunchGood and Enthuse. You will also support national and international fundraising activities as needed.
We are looking for someone with administrative experience, ideally gained within a charity, fundraising or community-focused environment. You will have strong organisational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and confidence in handling enquiries through multiple channels. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage positively with volunteers, supporters and community members are essential, along with good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, online forms, cloud tools and CRM/database systems. Experience supporting events and an understanding of safeguarding, data protection and health and safety are required, as well as flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends.

TRAIN is a youth work charity based in South Oxfordshire. We support young people aged 10 to 18 in Didcot, Wallingford and the surrounding areas, especially those who are under-served.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Fundraising and Communications Coordinator, your main focus will be trusts and foundations: researching opportunities, writing persuasive applications and producing clear reports. You’ll also play a part in growing support from corporates, community fundraising, individual donors and major gifts, helping to build a broader base of income over time.
Alongside this, you’ll lead on communications. That means keeping our website and social channels current, producing supporter newsletters, and sharing our story more widely through PR and campaigns. You’ll help make sure the difference TRAIN makes for young people is seen and understood by funders, partners and the local community.
It’s a hands-on role, well-suited to someone who enjoys writing, building relationships and juggling different projects. You don’t need to be an experienced fundraiser — we’re open to people with transferable skills, whether from corporate, public or third sector backgrounds. What matters most is that you can communicate clearly, organise your workload, and are motivated by making a difference for young people.
You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with the rest of the team. This is a part-time role of approximately 30 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly. The role is based in Didcot with hybrid working, but for the right candidate we will consider a fully remote arrangement.

About the role
This new Lead role sits within the Design Council Programmes Team led by the Chief Design Officer and has responsibility for leading the development and embedding of our funding strategy. Coordinating income generation of ~£2m per year including securing £250k of philanthropic (T&Fs, corporates, other sources) funding in the first year, the role also has the objective of growing overall revenue but in line with the refreshed Design Council business and funding model to ensure it remains strategically aligned and sustainable.
Reporting to the Head of Programmes with a dotted line to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for oversight of the overall revenue pipeline, working across the organisation to have full line of sight of funding opportunities and partnerships and ensure a consistent approach to how we generate revenue.
You will drive an effective stakeholder engagement plan, working closely with the Communications team to ensure campaigns and events help build and maintain a strong network of funder relationships and strengthening our profile as a charity.
The scope covers directly securing philanthropic/corporate partner funding as well as supporting wider commercial income generation and also ensuring they are all anchored in our Theory of Change and enable long term income growth.
Our core programmes of work support delivery of our Theory of Change encompassing Skills, Capability, Innovation and Research. We are looking to create and grow funding partnerships through a variety of activities including events, learning and training and world leading research, and the Fundraising and Partnerships Lead will play a critical role in developing funding relationships, securing them, both directly and also supporting the wider team.
Key Responsibilties
1. New Funding Generation and Planning

Lead the identification of new revenue opportunities across the range of Design Council propositions with the objective of growing total revenue base, in line with the Design Council funding strategy and business model

Who we're looking for
We are looking for a driven, self-motivated and hands-on individual, with a track record of securing funding from a range of sources and growing revenue in a national not-for-profit or commercial organisation.
You will be ambitious for Design Council’s aspiration of reaching £8m revenue by 2031 and be able to demonstrate commercial acumen and experience of developing revenue generation strategies and converting opportunities into secured income.
You will also know that fundraising is challenging and competitive, so you will be resilient and experienced in building the relationships that can secures six-figure+ multi-year income. Job Purpose
The Grants & Fundraising Manager will play a lead role in maintaining and growing Umbrella’s income, with a primary focus on grant fundraising and the development of corporate partnerships.
