When a family member sustains a spinal cord injury it is a life changing experience for the whole family. They can feel very isolated and that no one understands what they’re going through.

Back Up’s Family Support Service is there to help. We enable a wide range of family members of all ages whose loved one is affected by spinal cord injury (SCI) to improve their wellbeing, build a support network and transform their lives through Back Up’s services. 

The Family Support Coordinator will assist in supporting family members on an individual basis as well as in group settings as appropriate, together with providing support in the process of identifying, recruiting and training new family support volunteers.

A Family Support Coordinator will be comfortable and efficient with data management and GDPR compliance.

Lived experience of having a relative with SCI is essential, together with sharing our commitment to transform the lives of everyone affected by spinal cord injury.

The Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) is the national charity for people affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom. 

We are looking for a Digital Communications Coordinator to cover maternity leave and to support our busy Communications team.

The Digital Communications Coordinator is a key role within CLAPA, responsible for implementing our digital communications strategy to engage and inspire the UK cleft community. This role moves beyond content creation to take ownership of CLAPA’s digital communications across social and email platforms, ensuring online communications are strategic and data-driven. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, this role supports the planning, delivery, and monitoring of campaigns that inform, support, and connect the cleft community in the UK. 

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a good understanding of digital communications and a passion for community engagement. The Coordinator will manage day-to-day digital content, respond to online enquiries, and support internal teams with their communications needs. They will also play an important part in maintaining CLAPA’s brand and voice across all channels, ensuring our communications are accessible, on-brand, and effective.

The Training Coordinator plays a key role in supporting delivery of training for the Award network.
Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the Coordinator ensures training content is
relevant, accessible, and effectively delivered across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, scheduling, and coordination of the organisation’s training offer to our various operators.
• Coordinate logistics for instructor-led online workshops including setting the schedule, identifying and preparing trainers and Foundation Representatives.
• Ensuring learning related operational procedures are understood and implemented across training.
• Provide administrative support to our Global Training Panel, including communications,
• scheduling, and tracking participation.
• Assist in sharing and promoting training content through established communication channels.
• Collect and compile feedback from training participants to support continuous improvement.
• Upload and maintain training content on the delivery platform in collaboration with the Digital Programmes team.
• Help track and report on training participation, outcomes, and budget utilisation as required.
• Maintain records of training sessions, attendance, and evaluation results.
• Use translation software to maintain and update translated materials as required.
• Use course creation software to maintain, update and create content as required.
• Coordinate training for our Global Training Panel and Operator trainers through the Trainer
• Development pathway.
• Assist with coordinating executive training programmes.
• Build effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, and partners to support a culture of learning and capacity development.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of training processes and documentation.
• Perform other related duties as needed to support the success of training initiatives and the broader goals of the organisation.

● To develop and maintain good working relationships as part of the VCKC team (maximising potential to contribute to a positive culture and to achieve our shared objectives)

About the opportunity

We're in a fantastic position to have recently have partnered with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) for an evaluation of our programmes. 

We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Dorset.

• The Dorset Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.
• The Dorset Programme Coordinator supports the recruitment of volunteer tutors, manages the tutor sign up process, develops relationships with schools including their Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers, collects data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, and works with other internal teams on business development opportunities.

Deadline: Thursday, 31st July 2025

Duties and responsibilities
 

• Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; regularly attending weekly tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
• Responsible for overseeing the quality of tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery. Provide regular check-ins with tutors to ensure ample support and guidance is given to provide targeted tuition to pupils.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers. Maintain clear and timely communication with relevant school staff, offering regular check-ins with key school stakeholders, and contribute to impact reporting to schools. Supporting the Programme Manager with strategies to retain and sustain school partnerships.
• Update and accurately maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and pupil surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
• Proactively report to the Programme Manager on the details of Action Tutoring’s operations in their partner schools.

The nature of this role will also require you to demonstrate adaptability, resilience and the ability to cope with some uncertainty. 
 

This position would suit you if you’re looking to develop your experience in the education or charity sectors. Existing experience of working with young people and/or project management in a charity or education setting would be an asset. FareShare GM redistributed an amazing 1,929 tonnes of surplus food to 306 community groups, supplying 4.6 million meals to those in need in 2023/24.  In June 2025, we distributed 207 tonnes of food or the equivalent of 494,680 meals to our beneficiaries. 

Working with FareShare UK, we help unlock good food from a wide variety of national and local food suppliers, food that otherwise would have gone in the bin.  We support diverse groups including those catering to the elderly, young families, the BAME community, disabled individuals and those facing homelessness or other forms of poverty.

It’s a busy operation with a lot of moving parts: you’ll take ownership for the smooth running of the Allocations office, supervising the safe distribution of surplus food to our Community Food Members by staff and volunteers.  By working closely with the Warehouse team and delivery drivers, you’ll help ensure timely, accurate and food safe compliant deliveries and collections, optimising our income whilst minimising food waste.

To be a success in this role, you’ll need to have experience in a busy office or operational environment, great communication skills, and experience supervising and motivating staff.  You can adapt to regularly changing priorities, are happy to get involved where needed and constantly review daily targets to keep the team on track.  Ideally you’ll have some experience with volunteers (or have volunteering experience yourself), and/or in the not for profit sector working with disadvantaged groups.

About the Role:

With responsibility for delivery of Outcome 2 of the Youth Empowerment Fund, this role will deliver initiatives relating to capacity building, youth-led advocacy and events and will sit within the GYM-YEF project coordination team under the supervision of the Project Coordination Leadership team.

This position will work closely with Big Six representatives to deliver Capacity building initiatives to YEF awardees, Youth Panellists, and the Global Youth Mobilization GYM Network and be responsible for ensuring coordinated efforts across the project.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the implementation of the capacity building for the Youth Empowerment Fund of GYM 

2. Collaborate with Big Six Designated Leads in the coordination of the capacity building offer and work plan 

3. Manage relationship with designated project Capacity Building leads in each of the Big Six in activating their national organizations/societies/operators in the YEF 

4. Monitor the Capacity Building project budgets and prepare relevant reports for governance and donors, supporting the MEL officer.

5. Oversee development of advocacy guidance and production of policy recommendations follow up on use of resources following events.

6. Support the development and roll out of the GYM-YEF Network, for peer-peer learning, capacity building opportunities and collecting useful resources for young people’s personal and professional development. 

7. Support the GYM youth-led advocacy objectives and long-term partnerships.

8. Contribute to the staff activities of WAGGGS, participating in staff sharing days, Global Programmes Team departmental meetings and activities and other activities as appropriate.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Virtual Casework Coordinator to join the Casework and Community Engagement Team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. 

About the role 

You will be responsible for the efficient daily operations of the Virtual Casework Office. You will be working collaboratively with SSAFA colleagues and volunteers across all Regional Offices to ensure SSAFA beneficiaries receive a consistent, timely, and high-quality service.

You will be responsible for providing specialist administrative support, working closely with SSAFA Regional Offices, this will include supporting the volunteer network including our highly trained caseworkers, particularly with completion of cases.

This role will be key in supporting regions transitioning to our new digital platform, stepping in where extra help is needed.

About the team 

The team operates within a "virtual" office and will assist in the rollout of the Network Delivery Project (NDP) across all regions. The successful candidate will join a support team that includes two virtual casework coordinators, under the guidance of the Virtual Casework Manager.

All team members are homebased.

About you 

To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as, housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR and experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.

It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and if you have experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector would be valuable.

The role of Parks Volunteer Programme coordinator in the Enable Parks team will allow you to demonstrate your skills working with stakeholders and local communities to deliver park improvements, habitat management tasks and one-off volunteering opportunities. You will assist with developing working relations with existing corporate partners and increasing our reach by creating new partnerships in the local area and beyond.

You will be responsible for creating each volunteer session as it addresses improvements or enhancements, and manage the needs of all volunteers throughout their experience.  You will have responsibility for Health and Safety, external and internal contacts and be the lead person co-ordinating all associated admin tasks to create enjoyable and productive volunteer sessions in Wandsworth.   

Another key aspect of the role will be strengthening links with businesses and organisations in the local area and beyond to develop a consistent pipeline of volunteer sessions that help improve Wandsworth parks and provide opportunities for people to give back.

• Support colleagues in the Parks team with daily operational and project works where relevant, as directed by the Parks Delivery Manager. 

Skills and Experience:  

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification) or appropriate experience in a directly related post.
• Experience of working in a volunteer management, coordination or programming role, or similar work delivering practical biodiversity, habitat or landscape management. 
• Proven ability to organise, plan, and manage projects effectively (including budget management, Health and Safety oversight, and environmental monitoring data). 
• Experience of managing / supporting volunteers (delivering soft/hard landscaping improvements with volunteers is desirable.)  
• Experience of developing annual outdoor educational/volunteering programmes for a wide range of participants.
• Entrepreneurial and customer service focussed, to allow the volunteer programme to develop into a sustainable, profitable and scalable service area. 
• The ability to work independently using your own initiative and prioritise effectively whilst at the same time working collaboratively as part of a team on common goals and shared projects to ensure the work programme is delivered effectively.

ST ALDATES and ACT CHARITY

We are pioneering new ways of discipling people to make a difference in every area of their lives. A vibrant church with a congregation of 1200+, we are passionate about connecting with and supporting people who are street homeless and those in or leaving local prisons.

As a city centre church, working alongside people who are poor or marginalised is a key part of our ministry and is carried out largely through Aldates Community Transformation Initiatives (ACT). ACT’s welcoming community offers support designed to help people find belonging, purpose and hope, which is carefully shaped to fit each individual’s needs. This includes street and prison outreach, community meals, mentoring and supported housing. 

ACT is a registered charity with a board of trustees drawn from within the church, including the Rector. We are a growing charity with seven salaried staff, and over 65 local volunteers. Staff are employed by St Aldates PCC and seconded to the ACT Charity.

At the heart of the charity is our ACT Family, a group of individuals living in our supported houses, and at varying stages of journeying towards independent living. We engage with these individuals on a relational basis through three main areas of support:

A community: regular opportunities to gather including a weekly breakfast and Bible study, small groups, social and vocational events, and an annual retreat.

A home: a safe, stable place in one of 11 ACT-managed properties in the city, and sustained 1:1 support from the team.

A mentor: regular sessions with a trained mentor to enable people to grow in confidence, skills and aspiration, including support to volunteer, study or find employment.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Progression Coordinator is responsible for engaging directly with our core ACT Family residents of supported ACT houses and inspiring their ongoing development. A large part of this will be helping them develop the skills needed so they can move towards living independently. 

 Key Duties

The role is split into two key areas:

Support, coaching and progression for individuals living in our ACT houses:

• Working alongside the Housing Manager to build relationships with the ACT Family
• Inspiring residents to explore a pathway towards independent living
• Establishing Personal Development Plans (PDPs) in response to the needs of each individual
• Administratively holding and monitoring the progress of the PDPs
• Conducting regular reviews with each resident and updating PDPs accordingly
• Giving regular progress reports to the Housing Manager and Head of ACT 
• Managing relationships with all mentors, including monitoring their engagement with the ACT Family and identifying any opportunities or risks
• Organising mentor training and events as required
• Identifying training and deploying new mentors as required
• Maintaining relationships with ACT Family members who are moving out of ACT houses, ensuring they are equipped and supported as they move on
• Providing ad-hoc cover and support for the Housing Manager as required (e.g. holiday and sickness cover, as well as picking up some day-to-day tasks if required)

Outward engagement into the wider community:

• Ongoing engagement and relationship-building with the wider housing and charity sector in and around Oxford
• Creating strategic industry connections that help implement the PDPs, including but not limited to private landlords and agencies able to support progression out of ACT houses 
• Building connections with local employers willing and able to train or employ the residents
• Developing connections with local educational and vocational organisations able to support the residents
• Managing relevant existing relationships with local agencies as required
• Developing an active understanding of issues related to housing in Oxford 
• Exploring and communicating any new initiatives or practices to support the role, or the wider activities of the charity

Person specification

Essential criteria

• Professional qualifications or professional experience in an area directly relevant to the role, e.g. Social Work, Occupational Health, Probation, Housing, Nursing/Mental Health, Therapy, Coaching
• Understanding of and experience working with marginalised adults, particularly former prisoners or homeless people
• Experience of managing projects and organising events
• Willingness to learn about housing, safeguarding, homelessness, rehabilitation of offenders, probation, state benefits, substance abuse, mental health and other relevant topics
• Experience of MS Office including One-Note, Teams or similar system
• Active Christian faith, willing to intercede for others and share your faith when appropriate
• Love and empathy for those who face poverty, hardship and other life challenges whilst maintaining essential boundaries
• Demonstrable ability to manage a varied workload and occasional remote work
• Ability to build relationships with people from all walks of life
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Able to maintain healthy boundaries whilst working as part of a close-knit team

Launched in the summer of 2019 on a 2,000-acre estate in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), Wales, the Penpont Project is the largest intergenerational nature restoration project of its kind anywhere in the world. Initiated by Action for Conservation, the Penpont Estate, Tirmawr Farm, and a Youth Leadership Group of 12-18 year olds from diverse backgrounds, the project aims to restore nature and culture in this special place and demonstrate how youth leadership and ambition can advance nature’s recovery at a time of acute ecological crisis.

We are looking for a Learning & Engagement Coordinator to join our flagship Penpont Project, empowering young people and intergenerational communities to connect with, feel inspired by and take action for nature. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a unique and innovative project, maximising positive outcomes for young people and the environment. 

Key details

Start date: around 22 September, exact date to be agreed
Contract: Part-time, fixed-term for 12 months, with possibility to extend duration and/or increase working hours when additional funding is secured
Starting salary: £16,872.76 - £17,590.75 (equivalent to £28,121.27 - £29,317.92 FTE) depending on experience
Working hours: 21 hours / 3 days per week. This role requires evening and weekend work, including regular residential/overnight stays (6-10 times per year). Time off in lieu (TOIL) can be taken for overtime work.
Location: Penpont, Brecon (Wales). This role requires regular travel within the local region as well as some national travel for team events.

About the role

As Learning & Engagement Coordinator, you will support the successful delivery and ongoing development of our learning and engagement work as part of the Penpont Project, playing an active role in empowering young people and intergenerational communities to connect with, feel inspired by and take action for nature. You will proactively engage the Penpont Project’s Youth Leadership Group, school and youth groups, local community members and other stakeholders, and will help to design, organise and run a wide variety of events and activities for them to take part in. These will include both day visits and residential stays (including at our brand new Forest Camp site) as well as online sessions. You will also support our Youth Rangers programme and similar professional development opportunities. In doing so, you will play a vital role in strengthening our flagship intergenerational approach to nature restoration and maximising positive outcomes for young people and the planet. 

In your day-to-day, you will work closely with our  Penpont Learning & Engagement Manager as well as with our Land-based Projects and Policy Lead, Penpont Project Manager and Technical Lead and with our project partners, the Penpont Estate and Tirmawr Farm, to make sure our learning and engagement activities are aligned with wider project work and actions happening on the land.

To succeed in this role, you will be a highly organised, creative, flexible and self-motivated project coordinator who thrives in a varied and dynamic work environment. You will also be an inspiring communicator and skilled facilitator who can engage and build relationships with a wider range of stakeholders and communities, especially young people.

Key responsibilities:

• Engage young people and the wider community around Penpont to take part in our learning and engagement programme and wider activities on site.
• Facilitate the activity of the Penpont Youth Leadership Group during and outside of residential visits to Penpont and ensure young people are equipped with the skills, knowledge and confidence ot engage fully with the project.
• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of a bespoke learning programme for school/youth groups that inspires and empowers young people to connect with and act for nature and aligns with actions happening on the land.
• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of regular community action days at Penpont, engaging local community members and supporting them to undertake practical nature restoration work in line with the project's action plan.
• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of events bringing together intergenerational stakeholders to collectively design a future vision for people and nature at Penpont and the wider Upper Usk catchment area.
• Support the running of the Penpont Youth Rangers programme and help to oversee the Rangers' day-to-day activities.
• Support monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) activities at Penpont to understand the impact of the project and facilitate learnings.

What we are looking for

• Experience of working with young people, ideally aged 12-18, with proven ability to engage, motivate and support young people from diverse backgrounds
• Strong environmental knowledge and practical skills
• Great facilitation skills with a track record of facilitating stimulating, interactive and inclusive group activities both in-person and online, including practical activities in an outdoor setting
• Experience of organising and running community and/or educational events from start to finish, including liaising with partners and participants, managing logistics, safeguarding and health and safety
• Excellent organisational and time management skills and ability to plan ahead, work across multiple tasks and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines
• A positive, proactive and self-reliant approach to work and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, partners, young people and other stakeholders

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

About the role

This role will involve building relationships with current and new corporate donors to ensure we can resource all the material donations we need to run the Crisis at Christmas centres in London.  Each year, we source gift in kind donations ranging from food and beverages to clothing, hairdressing equipment and toiletries. This is a varied role that involves researching donors, communicating with large corporate companies, managing volunteers, and running our yearly community donations drive.

About you

• Previous fundraising, project or event coordination or marketing experience. 

• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships with partner organisations and donors at all levels and work collaboratively within a wider team. 

• Excellent attention to detail and data processing accuracy with experience of using Microsoft Office software, in particular Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke. Position: S11292 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Fylde Coast. However, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Salary: Circa £16,461 per annum (FTE circa £27,400 per annum)

The Role

Reporting to the Service Delivery Coach, you will have the ability to support stroke survivors to identify their goals. Using strong assessment skills and a person-centred approach enabling them to maximise their recovery and improve communication.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
• Provide personalised information, advice and support.
• Supporting stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.

You will have experience in:
