About the role
Do you have excellent relationship building and communication skills that enable you to explain financial concepts to non-financial colleagues?  Those colleagues need you!

We are looking for an experienced Finance Partner to provide family leave cover until September 2026.  This is an exciting opportunity to work within a well established team, providing finance and business support to Heads of Department within our Communities and System Partnerships division, and their teams.

You will be monitoring the budget that the teams invest in grants that are awarded to the external partners with whom Macmillan works to support people living with cancer. This investment funds established roles such as Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialists and Macmillan Support Workers, as well as new, innovative ways to reach minority groups in the community or to lead whole system change for cancer care. 

You will be working with the teams to accurately forecast their full year expenditure, maintain the latest view of their spend for the year and review the monthly management accounts to highlight and investigate variances.

You will work closely with a Senior Finance Business Partner and other Finance Partners mainly online and through occasional in person get-togethers. Wider Finance team meetings are held face to face quarterly in London.

he Spear Centre Manager will work as part of the Citizen Church staff team to oversee the delivery of Spear—an employability programme equipping and empowering unemployed 16-24 year-olds to overcome barriers to employment and turn their lives around by moving into sustainable work or further education.

Key Responsibilities

Oversight of the Spear Programme

Spear Foundation is a 4-week initial phase, consisting of 2 group sessions plus a 1:1 with each trainee per week, in which we coach young people around skills and mindsets to support them in returning to work or education, and equip them with the skills to stay there. ​

• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Assistant Coach.
• Oversee all aspects of the programme coordination and delivery.
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report to Resurgo and the church on enrolment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees, as well as their ongoing progress.

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Build and implement a strategy for developing and maintaining relationships with local referral partners to build the profile of the Spear programme within Ipswich and ensure the young people who would benefit from the programme are able to access it.
• Steward relationships with young people after initial point of contact, to encourage enrolment and ensure a full cohort is enrolled for each programme.

Line management and training

• Manage the Spear Assistant Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development.
• Work with and be managed by Citizen Church staff locally, and by a Church Partnerships Manager from Resurgo on a national level, to ensure the flourishing of the Spear centre, its team and young people, and to ensure the fulfilment of our shared mission in Ipswich.
• Work with and report to Resurgo teams on KPIs, and use outcomes data to maximise the effectiveness of the programme.

Supporting River Church’s mission and ministry

• Establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement of church members and to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme.
• Work with the Head of Operations and the Fundraising Assistant to prepare grant funding applications for Spear Ipswich, and provide timely grant reporting.
• Keep the Citizen Church congregation updated on the Spear programme to ensure it is a seamless part of the church’s missional work.

The Finance & HR Lead

We are looking for a Finance & HR Lead to take charge of the financial health of our charity by administering a high quality and effective financial management service to The OutHouse. The OutHouse is going through a period of change and we need a finance practitioner who is able to support the organisation in its financial management. You will also have oversight of our HR function. This is a busy role within a small team that is looking to make a huge difference within our community. • Provide a high quality and effective financial management service to The OutHouse.
• Prepare, develop and analyse finance and accounting information, including income and expenditure processing, ensuring information is timely precise, clear, informative and understood
• Keep good quality accounting records for our charity by preparing annual accounts and maintaining up to date records on our accountancy and book-keeping systems (making any recommendations for improvement as necessary)
• Work with the CEO and Operations Change Manager to ensure efficient financial management and planning systems, ensure financial reports effectively inform business development and fundraising strategies and that the organisation demonstrates value for money across all activities and services
• Prepare information for our Funders on funded projects expenditure and work with the SLT to present this in a meaningful way
• Attend Trustee meetings as required to provide information and analysis ensuring partnership with CEO and board Treasurer to allow for easier financial decisions
• Ensure financial information supplied to management and the board is full and accurate so as to support sound decision making
• Ensure compliance and proactively highlight potential risk with relevant financial statutory and regulatory matters
• Identify and manage risks and contribute to the risk register on financial matters and wider decision making when appropriate

Founded in 2019, the Poverty Truth Network believes that this can only happen when those most impacted by poverty are at the heart of the movement to end it. Our specific contribution brings together people experiencing poverty with those with responsibilities for alleviating it. “Nothing About Us Without Us Is For Us.” 

Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are recruiting for a Parliamentary Officer who will develop and coordinate effective links between the Poverty Truth Network and parliamentarians, promoting a relationally-based approach to policy development and legislation.

As a Christian charity, there is a genuine occupational requirement in Pecan’s Articles for the CEO to be a Christian. Part of your role will be to nurture key relationships with local churches, so you’d be comfortable in a church context and to pray with and talk to them about opportunities to support the work of Pecan. You will also be able to lead a workforce of diverse faiths.

As our Policy Advisor –Research and Data Monitoring you will support the highest standards of research development, analysis and communication of data relating to the water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector. 

In this role, you will lead high-level analysis and quality assurance of WASH data use as well as management research resources, include the Research and Evidence Bank, the Research Tracker and the Statistics Bank.

You’ll also: 

• Contribute to the design and commissioning of research projects to support advocacy, campaigns, media communications
• Oversea and manage small research projects – facilitating the sharing of research outputs and learnings within GPAC and across the organisation
• Work closely with GPAC colleagues and other WaterAid UK departments and ensure that information on commissioned research projects and learnings are shared widely across the WaterAid Federation (Australia, Canada, India, Japan, Sweden, UK, and USA)

Purpose of the role 

As the LGBTQ+ Service Lead you will manage the services we provide to support the wellbeing, confidence, and connectivity of LGBTQ+ youth across BANES. 

Along with managing a small team you will plan, deliver, and facilitate our renowned weekly Space youth group (ages 13-21) and monthly Space to Be youth group (ages 8-13), 1:2:1 listening support, and schools work. 

Our goal is to empower LGBTQ+ young people and provide a space where they are free from judgement, but also to spread awareness of the issues the LGBTQ+ community faces and how partners, parents, and the wider community can support them. 

This role will play a key part in shaping the future of the LGBTQ+ services through exploring funding opportunities and other income-generating avenues to ensure the continued growth and impact of the services.

We are recruiting a Commercial Business Development Lead to drive growth of Sands’ partnerships programme. This is a new and exciting role requiring an ambitious and entrepreneurial individual, who will focus on securing commercial and strategic partnerships which maximise Sands’ exclusive, new and emerging opportunities.  This includes our award-winning Sands United Football Club, the globally-recognised Baby Loss Awareness Week, our leadership in Saving Babies’ Lives research and flagship UK-wide events such as Ribbon Run, Starlight Walk and others. 

The postholder will be responsible for securing sector-leading, inspiring and memorable partnerships, including but not limited to multi-year collaborations, sponsorship and cause-related marketing. Demonstrable experience in working across sporting and/or event sponsorship is essential as well as in commercially-led partnerships including retail.  The ability to collaborate strategically with those committed to social change is also required.

his role provides excellent administrative support across two departments in the Diocese of Coventry offices:

• The Ministry & Leadership team provides learning, training and development for volunteer Christian leaders across Coventry and Warwickshire. (The role holder is based in this team, and most of their working time is focussed there.)

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation.  We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities.
