You will be part of the MYcommunity Linkworkers team. Your main role will be to:

• Provide personalised brief intervention and social prescribing support to individuals, their families and carers.

• Meet clients on a one-to-one basis, making home visits where appropriate and allowing clients the time and space to discuss ‘what matters to me.

• Provide person-centred support to enable clients to identify their health and wellbeing needs and goals. Co-produce support plans with clients to discuss what’s important, where they would like to be in the future and how we can support them to achieve this. 

• Manage and prioritise a caseload to ensure clients' needs, priorities and urgent support are met.

• MYcommunity Lambeth works in partnership with a large number of statutory and community services and organisations across the borough. You will link clients with appropriate services to meet their needs. It is vital to have a strong understanding of when it is necessary to refer someone back to health care professionals/ agencies when the client’s needs are beyond the scope of the MYcommunity team.

3. Lead on collating relevant research, legacy and archived work, frameworks, guides and case studies.

Social Prescribing is part of the NHS Long-Term Plan and enables GPs and other health care professionals to refer patients to a Link Worker who can work with the individual to connect them with services and activities in their local community.

It involves working with people who may be experiencing a number of issues, so you will need outstanding listening and communication skills, empathy and enthusiasm. Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

Overall job purpose

This is a fundamental role within our South regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer.

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. About The Role

SAVE Britain’s Heritage is looking for a proactive and collaborative Heritage Engagement Manager to strengthen our support for communities campaigning to save historic buildings. 

You’ll take the lead in developing and managing SAVE’s public-facing resources — including the Buildings at Risk Register, ACT NOW! Toolkit and Building of the Month — ensuring they are accessible, impactful and widely used. A key part of the role is working directly with community campaigners, volunteers and students, providing advice and support to help them run effective campaigns, and sharing success stories across SAVE’s networks. 

Working closely with our small team — and alongside our Casework Officer — you’ll help ensure SAVE’s campaigning tools are closely aligned with our strategic aims, from audience development and sector leadership to new partnership opportunities. You’ll also coordinate the annual launch of the Buildings at Risk list, deliver regional engagement activities, and build partnerships with universities and professional networks to foster collaborative initiatives. 

We’re looking for someone with knowledge of planning, conservation and the built environment, proven experience supporting or enabling community groups, and strong communication and project management skills. Experience of partnership development, volunteer coordination are also valuable.

For over five decades, the Renewal Programme has been a trusted cornerstone of the community in the London Borough of Newham, tackling the root causes and consequences of poverty, isolation, and disadvantage.

Role overview

This role is central to our mission to support sustainable living, reduce food waste, tackle local food insecurity, and foster meaningful community connections. As a key part of delivering the vision set out in our National Lottery-funded RenewALL Hub proposal, you will ensure our food provision goes beyond meeting immediate needs to build inclusion, wellbeing, and pathways into wider community support.

Your primary responsibility will be to secure regular donations of surplus food by developing and maintaining strong partnerships with local supermarkets, shops, restaurants, and national redistribution organisations like the Newham Food Alliance, Felix Project, and Feeding Britain.

You will manage the effective use of this food across our services, including the foodbank, food pantry, warm meals programme, and cooking classes. This will involve careful stock management, menu planning, and coordinating with lead staff to ensure our food provision meets Newham’s environmental, health, and cultural needs. A key part of this will be overseeing the successful operation and promotion of our expanded food pantry.

Coordinating volunteers will be essential, particularly in managing and expanding our cargo bike fleet for surplus food collection and redistribution. You will also explore opportunities to monetise these sustainable transport services. To further engage the community, you will organise and host quarterly workshops on reducing food waste and eating on a budget.

Ultimately, you will play a vital role in coordinating our surplus food operations, managing volunteer teams, and strengthening partnerships to ensure our food services are impactful, sustainable, and community-led.

Key Responsibilities

Food Supply & Partnerships

• Secure regular surplus food donations from local supermarkets, shops, restaurants, farms, and redistribution networks (e.g., FareShare, Felix Project, Newham Food Alliance).
• Build strong partnerships with local and national food aid providers to maximise supply, reduce duplication, and ensure continuity of stock.
• Ensure culturally appropriate, nutritious food options are consistently available.

Food Service Delivery

• Lead the operational management of the RenewALL Food Pantry, ensuring it is welcoming, respectful, and centred on dignity and choice.
• Oversee twice-weekly pantry sessions, ensuring high-quality customer service, stock availability, and culturally relevant food.
• Maximise the effective use of volunteers in the operation of the pantry.
• Use the pantry as a gateway to wider support by integrating referrals into health, wellbeing, advice, and volunteering pathways.

Sustainable Food Initiatives & Logistics

• Manage and expand the cargo bike food redistribution programme, ensuring effective logistics, safety, insurance, and maintenance.
• Champion environmental sustainability, embedding low-waste, low-carbon practices across all food services.
• Organise and deliver quarterly workshops on food waste reduction and eating on a budget.

Volunteer Leadership & Team Management

• In partnership with the Volunteer Manager, recruit, train, and support volunteers across the Foodbank, Food Pantry, café, warm meals, and cargo bike services.
• Work with colleagues to develop food collection rotas, provide training (food safety, customer care), and ensure smooth operations across all food-related services.

About The Role  

The purpose of this role is to have overall responsibility for The Phoenix Way (TPW) Programme across the London, South and East regions and delegating day to day management South and East Regions to a dedicated Programme Manager. The role includes:

The Safe Haven Crisis Hub is an out of hours community crisis service, the Hub provides a safe space for individuals who may feel that they are at risk of a mental health crisis. Job purpose:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Membership Administrator to serve as the first point of contact for our members and to provide dedicated support to the networks of the Association, namely our Links network and mentor network. This dual-focused role is integral to ensuring an outstanding member experience, while also fostering strong engagement and coordination within our national networks.

This role will work with the rest of the membership team to ensure membership processes are being adhered to and ensuring that all member enquiries are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner. This role will contribute to improving systems and processes in collecting subscriptions in the most efficient way and to maximise subscription income by carrying out membership recruitment and engagement plans.

Key responsibilities:

Member recruitment, engagement and support

Act as the first point of contact for phone calls and emails with members and potential members to maximise both recruitment and retention opportunities and deal with all enquiries in an efficient way.

Assist in maintaining and developing a system for membership renewals, which includes follow-up letters and phone calls encouraging members to renew.

Provide accurate information and support to new applicants, including actively promoting membership services and benefits.

Assist the Membership & Specialist Societies Manager in delivering membership recruitment and retention strategies. Proactively contact schools of anaesthesia and hospital trusts to promote awareness and distribute our resources.

Work with the Digital Communications team to raise awareness of all member benefits. Continually review the website to ensure membership section is relevant and up to date and act as a membership champion across the Association.

To be a membership ambassador for the Association and help promote membership at external conferences and events including lunch and learns and Association conferences.

Data management and reporting

To monitor all new member applications and to help process new, renewed and existing memberships in the CRM/relevant database if needed. Enter and amend financial data relating to subscriptions.

To carry out user acceptance testing as and when needed, to log tickets related to CRM issues.

Update individual membership records e.g. addresses, membership categories, etc, as well as dealing with email bounce backs and returned mail. To update deceased members and mailing preferences as and when we receive notifications.

To have a detailed understanding of data protection legislation and implement best practices from the data protection policy and the new legislation for GDPR.

Export the mailing list for printed copies of the magazine and journal each month and the ESAIC Associate Member request list to ESAIC twice a year.

Contribute to regular data cleansing exercises to ensure that the membership database is maintained and refreshed to certify its validity.

Network Support

Act as the main liaison for Association networks (e.g., Links and mentors networks), providing administrative support, and sending out communication to them.

Work with network leads and membership management to ensure accurate sharing of updates, best practice, and resources across the network, via e-shots or other communication channels. Assist in organising network meetings and events.

Support strategies on how to grow networks, liaising with relevant team members and clinicians on these. Monitor activity across the network to help identify opportunities for collaboration, improvement, or celebration.

Maintain a directory of the networks and manage documentation and files related to network schemes. Ensure network resources and information is updated on Association’s website

Team support

Prioritise the workload of the membership team as agreed with the Membership & Specialist Societies Manager, alerting any delays or problems with the administration of membership.

This role will lead the development and delivery of volunteering and community outreach activities that connect people with their local rivers. Activities will include practical volunteering such as river clean-ups, planting days, and invasive species control, as well as citizen science, guided walks, and community workshops.
