About this role 

This is a joint role delivered by Class 13 as part of two interconnected programmes in Lambeth. One is a long-term embedded pilot working deeply with two local schools to reimagine school culture from the inside out. The other is part of a borough-wide initiative commissioned by SEL ICB and supported by Black Thrive to improve emotional wellbeing for Black and mixed heritage children. 

Both strands aim to create more human, equitable school environments—and we are seeking someone committed to walking alongside families, schools, and systems to help make this happen.

While the role is relational at its core, it also involves managing light but essential administrative and reporting tasks particularly during key programme milestones. This includes maintaining accurate records, preparing summaries of engagement sessions, and handling transcripts to ensure learning is captured and shared.

Role Summary

We are seeking a deeply reflective and relational School & Community Engagement Partner who isn’t afraid to ask bold questions or sit with uncomfortable truths.

This role isn’t about quick fixes or ticking engagement boxes—it’s about nurturing trust, challenging old habits, and reimagining what school can be. You’ll be at the heart of a long-term transformation project, working deeply with two Lambeth schools while also contributing to a broader borough-wide initiative that invites families, staff, and communities to imagine something better—together.

At its core, this work is about shifting power. About listening with care, convening with purpose, and walking alongside parents, carers, teachers, and school leaders as they navigate what change can look like when it’s built on affirmation, curiosity, and collective responsibility.

You’ll help strengthen the connection between schools and families through sustained relationships, collective inquiry, and shared action. Some of your work will be intensive and embedded, walking alongside schools to shift culture from the inside out. Other aspects will stretch wider gathering insight, surfacing patterns, and shaping ideas that ripple beyond a single setting.

This is not a traditional outreach role. It’s connective tissue—bridging classrooms, communities, and change. You’ll be a steady presence: listening, facilitating, building trust, and helping schools reflect not just on what they do, but why.

The School & Community Engagement Partner  will report to the Head of Programmes and  the primary lead work closely with school leadership, teachers, and local organisations to transform parent-school relationships.

Main Responsibilities

1. Deepen relationships and build community

• Build consistent, trust-based relationships with parents, carers, staff, and wider community members, particularly those who have been historically marginalised by school systems

• Be a visible and approachable presence at parents’ evenings, community events, school gates, and day-to-day school life

• Support families to move from being consulted to being co-creators ensuring their insight shapes decisions, practice, and school culture

• Foster connections not just between families and schools, but across families themselves, creating the conditions for mutual support and collective action
   

2. Walk alongside schools as they shift culture

• Work closely with staff across both pilot schools supporting reflection, relationship-building, and democratic practice

• Collaborate with school leaders, governors, and the wider Class 13 team to surface insight, challenge deficit thinking, and support community-led transformation

• Contribute to family-led policy change projects, helping create space for shared decision-making and power-sharing in schools

• Support the rhythm and routines of the embedded pilot showing up consistently in school life, from attending assemblies to noticing small shifts in culture

• Lead structured interviews with teachers participating in the programme, creating a relational space to gather reflective insights using agreed guides.

3. Facilitate wider listening and engagement

• Deliver structured engagement sessions in local schools as part of the SEL ICB programme, using the Appreciative Inquiry model (training provided)

• Work with staff and parents to map what currently exists, identify challenges and possibilities, and co-develop practical, community-rooted solutions

• “Reflect on what you’re hearing and noticing, and share learning that can support change—locally and across the wider network.

4. Learn, reflect, and grow

• Participate fully in Class 13’s foundational learning programme (4 full-day sessions)

• Engage in self-directed learning as part of the ICB programme

• Contribute to monitoring, reflection, and participatory evaluation of both the embedded pilot and the wider borough programme

• Maintain accurate records of meetings, interviews, and engagement sessions, including producing clear summaries and contributing to project documentation.

• Join monthly peer forums and learning spaces across the borough to share insight, deepen practice, and support collective learning.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• A background in community engagement, education, youth work or organising—particularly with parents, carers, or families

• Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to hold space for difficult conversations with care and clarity

• Deep listening skills and the ability to build relationships across difference, especially in school or public sector contexts

• Experience supporting individuals or groups to move from consultation to co-creation, shaping outcomes together

• Confidence navigating school spaces (including SLT, teachers, governors, parents, and young people)

• Strong organisational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities across different sites

• A deep commitment to equity and justice, and a willingness to reflect on your own practice

• Ability to manage and organise documentation, transcripts, and basic reporting to meet programme and funder requirements.

• Experience in conducting structured interviews or qualitative research in education, youth, or community contexts.

Desirable

• Experience working in, or alongside, schools or youth-facing institutions

• Professional training or qualifications such as teaching, social work, youth work, counselling, or therapeutic practice

• Familiarity with participatory or dialogic approaches like Appreciative Inquiry, community organising, or restorative practice

• Knowledge of how power, race, class, and other intersecting forces shape families’ experiences of school

• Multilingualism or strong cultural understanding of Lambeth’s diverse communities

The Roundhouse’s 13-person fundraising team has recently increased its ambitious annual target, largely driven by strong performance from the Trusts and Statutory team. Operating within a successful mixed economy model, the charity benefits from a diverse range of income sources – including ticket sales, commercial hires, and an increasingly ambitious programme of grants and philanthropy.

Trusts and statutory funding is a core part of this model. This year’s £600k  Trusts target has almost been met, supported by a strong pipeline, multi-year relationships, and a wide portfolio of fundable work across employability, wellbeing, and diversity. The postholder will also be responsible for Arts Council England reporting.

With programmes closely aligned to youth sector priorities and policy initiatives, this role offers the opportunity to build on solid foundations and contribute to the organisation’s next phase of growth.

As Senior Trusts and Statutory Manager, you will:

• Lead and manage a successful team (Trusts and Statutory Manager and Coordinator), delivering and growing the team’s £600k annual income target
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of trust and statutory prospects by crafting compelling proposals, narratives, and packages of support
• Steward key long-term funder relationships, including Arts Council England, and take responsibility for accurate reporting and statutory funding compliance
• Identify and shape new funding opportunities across a broad portfolio, including youth employability, mental health, creative skills, and inclusion
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Programmes, and Evaluation to ensure projects are designed with purpose, evidence, and impact
• Represent Roundhouse confidently and professionally in meetings with trustees, funders, and senior stakeholders

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Proven success in securing high five- or six-figure grants from trusts, foundations, or statutory funders
• Strong track record of creatively packaging compelling cases for support that align funder interests with organisational priorities
• Experience managing and growing funder relationships with a strategic and entrepreneurial approach
• Experience managing teams (formal or dotted-line) with a collaborative and supportive leadership style
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a skilled storyteller capable of crafting persuasive funding proposals and impactful reports
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders, including board members, funders, and programme leads
• Experience in youth sectors is desirable, as is familiarity with funders such as Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Garfield Weston, and bigger strategic funders
• A strategic thinker with energy, creativity, and autonomy, comfortable working in an environment where innovation and adaptability are essential

The post holder will need to be dedicated, supportive, agile and self-motivated. They will also require experience managing and developing community projects, overseeing a team of project leads, building strong stakeholder relationships as well as an understanding of working in the non-for-profit/charity sector. The Health and Wellbeing Manager will have the opportunity to lead innovative programme developments and make decisions on the future landscape of our Health and Wellbeing work. The Health and Wellbeing Manager must:

· Have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in community programme development (health sector desirable)

· Have experience of overseeing funded programmes

· Have experience of creating and managing project budgets

· Have experience of managing people

· Have experience of monitoring and evaluating community programmes

Ideally, the Health and Wellbeing Manager will:

· Have experience delivering community programmes with adults and young people

· Have experience building stakeholder relationships with organisations such as the NHS and Local Authorities

· Have knowledge of the NHS landscape and future plans, particularly across South West London

· Have experience building and developing new health and wellbeing initiatives from scratch

· Have an understanding of the non-for-profit and charity sector

We are Olive Branch Aid (OBA), an award-winning Foodbank charity operating in south London, and we are looking for a dynamic and confident Foodbank Manager to work alongside our newly appointed Foodbank Coordinator as well as an energetic team of more than 60 volunteers. 

We have achieved so much but we have ambitions to do so much more! 

Since beginning 5 years ago, OBA now provides food support for a day for the equivalent of 70,000 people a year. In 2024 we packaged and delivered more than 9 tonnes of food for those needing our services. Check out our website to read more about our journey.

OBA is different

OBA provides a hand-up rather than a hand-out. More than a Foodbank, OBA provides support for 3 months - much longer than most Foodbanks. We also provide an innovative well-being support service that helps service users address the underlying causes of their food needs. In 2024, OBA helped more than 75 households with complex underlying issues, this involved many weeks of telephone calls and meetings and helped prevent at least five families from becoming homeless. OBA also provides free preloved clothing and household goods to help service users get back on their feet.

Since 2023, OBA has its own fully funded premises off Portslade Road next to the Windrush overground station. Despite these successes, we continue to rely entirely on donations for our day to day expenses. As Foodbank Manager, you will help us secure the funding to grow our services and help even more people.

Summary of the role:

The Global Programmes Manager provides supervision and management support to Muslim Aid Country Offices and implementing partners ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of high-quality delivery of projects and programmes in line with organizational strategy, in compliance with donor expectations, governmental and international standards.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced organiser who will lead key aspects of our community organising practice. GUCE Communications Manager Role

Community Energy is gaining momentum nationally, where people are increasingly coming together to take control of their own energy supplies.  Grand Union Community Energy (GUCE, pronounced “juice”) is looking to see communities along the Grand Union canal in Hertfordshire enjoy a clean and resilient energy system that benefits all.  We develop, support and promote renewable energy and energy efficiency projects for local communities from Watford to Tring, and build householder resilience by helping them reduce their bills and energy use.

We are seeking a Communications Manager for one day per week. Depending on the skills of the applicant the same individual could also cover aspects of other roles we are looking to fill.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a person with experience in communications and marketing campaigns to join our small but expanding team. We are looking to extend reach, build our network and develop a stronger online presence across our different project areas.

The role will include the development and execution of a Communications and Marketing Strategy for the organisation.  Alongside the strategic planning of our comms work, the role will also include creating materials and content for campaigns to engage members of the public, potential partners, funders and investors.

• Creating and sharing engaging content, including text images and videos that promote GUCE and its key values. This may include attending in-person events on occasion to capture content.

Epic is looking for a Development Manager to support the activities of the UK Development Team to help us ‘make giving the norm’.

The Development Manager will work with the UK Director in our small team in the UK, as well as working closely with colleagues in Paris and Brussels.

Key Responsibilities :

With support from the UK Director, the Development Manager will work collaboratively with the Director and wider UK team and Development colleagues in Paris and Brussels to execute the fundraising strategy in the UK. The Development Manager is a key role in a small team, and will contribute new ideas, networks and results to help us meet our income targets and therefore create more positive impact for children and young people globally. 1. Business Development (65%)

• Lead prospect research and outreach efforts to expand Epic’s prospect donor pool in the UK: monitor the fundraising ecosystem, conduct in-depth prospect research and engage in proactive outreach campaigns through LinkedIn, emailing, digital networking and in-person events. This will include attending early morning and evening events as required.
• Set conversion objectives and support conversion from leads to donations
• Identify and secure lead opportunities within networks and events
• Pitch Epic and its various Giving Solutions to potential donors, and build tailored proposals when needed
• Maintain high discipline and consistency in follow-up with leads and donors: use Epic’s CRM to build a consistent pipeline of prospects, as well as maintaining the database with accurate and up to date donor information
• Evaluate and monitor the return on investment (ROI) of events and fundraising campaigns
• Prepare compelling fundraising communications, materials and presentations for donor meetings and events

2. Nurturing & engaging the UK Community (20%)

• Contribute to Epic’s engagement strategy for current donors to ensure an 80% renewal rate
• Maintain regular touchpoints with a subgroup of donors through activities such as sharing monitoring reports, organising project visits and volunteering opportunities in the UK, and scheduling regular calls and face to face meetings. 
• Act as the main point of contact for a subset of donors and answer their enquiries in a timely manner
• Craft and manage engagement opportunities such as UK events and webinars, including drinks, talks, breakfast events, and provide support to the organisation for the annual gala nights. Support will be provided for certain events by our in-house dedicated Events team.

3. Fundraising-related administration (15%)

• Manage donor-related administrative tasks, such as regular use of Epic’s CRM (Salesforce), donation forms, meeting preparation, minutes (where applicable), and 
• Process all donations, using Salesforce and related donation platforms, in a timely manner each month
• Liaise with international fund vehicles, such as Myriad USA, to ensure all international donation commitments are fulfilled. 

Position Requirements :

• Candidate must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
• Excellent level of English (both spoken and written) required
• Proficiency in French (written and spoken) highly desirable 
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales, fundraising or business development role, with demonstrable experience of securing 5- and 6-figure gifts
• Experience within the charity sector is desirable but not required
• Experience using software packages such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva and other applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to attend external events (including evening events) and comfortable networking with a variety of people across different communities
• Experience with a CRM is required and preferably some experience of using Salesforce 
• Strong self-discipline and project management skills
• Excellent organisational skills and a strong eye for detail

The Epic UK team is a small but dedicated team. The role requires flexibility and a start-up attitude. This is a full time, permanent position, based in the London office with the opportunity for two remote working days each week. This role reports to the UK Director and will involve closely working with Epic’s global development team, as well as with the Engagement, Programs, Marketing and Communications, and Operations teams.

Contract Details

• Position based in central London (Mayfair), UK (with option to work from home 2 days per week).
• Contract type: Permanent, full-time
• Salary range: £35,000-£40,000 gross annual (depending on experience) 
• Start date: As soon as possible but within 3 months of the offer

Interagency work

· Work to embed the Case Manager role into multi-agency responses to domestic abuse in the area.

· Effective understanding and implementation of institutional advocacy by pro- socially challenging partner agencies, acknowledging best practice and striving for change to benefit the individual, the service and the sector.

· Support other professionals in responding to service users in a way that is coterminous with the aims and ethos of the Drive Project.

· Working closing with other professionals to ensure that risk management and safeguarding duties are effectively met.

· Develop and maintain effective partnership working with statutory, private and voluntary agencies to address the issue of domestic abuse.

· Represent the service at operational multi-agency meetings, feeding back initiatives and outcomes to the team and contribute to the evaluation of the quality of activities these services offer.

· Provide a single point of proactive and regular contact for a range of professionals involved in the case of the service user.

· Be flexible and willing to work in all types of environments.

Case management

· Comply with child protection and information sharing policies, ensuring that service users and colleagues understand and comply with the service’s safeguarding framework.

· Manage a case load focusing on high risk perpetrators of domestic abuse to provide an assertive, medium to long term service, based on thorough assessment and individual support planning that adopts the principles of both ‘Support (change) or/and Disrupt (continued offending) concept.

· Contribute to regular service reviews which include monitoring data, evaluations, intake and output policy, and practice and work load reviews for the whole service.

· Attend monthly case management meeting with the Service Manager .

· Attend clinical supervision.

· Take appropriate steps to protect where there is an imminent risk to another person.

Recording and administration

· Ensure that case files and records are accurate and complete, and are kept and in compliance with Data Protection Act requirements.

· To enter all the required information into the Drive project electronic case management system to enable tracking of service user change, multi-agency working and risk management.

· Weekly maintenance and accurate and secure audit trail of all relevant communication.

· Comply with the data protection and information sharing protocols that Drive has agreed to.

Direct work with service users

· Maintain a proactive response to service users, continuously providing positive options for behaviour change throughout the service users time in the Drive project

· Use combination of motivational work, relationship building and a broad range of therapeutic skills to engage service users to addressing their abusive behaviour

· Motivate and support service users to address the broad range of needs that may contribute to the risk that they pose to others or act as barrier for them in addressing that risk. e.g. housing, substance use etc.

· To ensure that service users understand that the community and Drive project will ensure that they are accountable for continued use of abuse and abusive behaviour towards others

· Ensure that there is a consistent delivery of services to the identified perpetrators of domestic abuse, including comprehensive risk assessment, support planning, referrals to other agencies and MARACs.

· Develop strategies that will disrupt the continued risk posed by service users

· Undertake assessment of risk, needs and attitudes to inform the individual

service user’s intervention plan

· Ensure that risk assessment and risk management procedures are followed at all times.

· Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the service works in, providing a service that recognises the diverse needs of service users and their families.

· Work closely with the IDVAs’ supporting the partners, ex-partners and new partners, and family members of service users in management risk and developing intervention plans, as set out in the Drive Manual.

· The welfare and safety of children and young people is paramount, considered in every aspect of your work, address parenting needs where appropriate and taking action to safeguard children.

General

· Remain up-to-date and compliant with all relevant legislation connected to your work, including organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct and practice guidance, in order to uphold standards of best practice.

· Represent the service at local events; deliver training and presentations as required.

· Feed into the learning process via the Service to improve services to perpetrators of domestic abuse ensuring that the experiences of service users and other agencies inform this process.

· Be confident to evidence reflective practice in all aspects of work, sharing learning and

· Be committed to reviewing individual and team practice and undertake regular training.

· Act with integrity and respect when interacting with service users, employees, agencies and individuals.

· Competent in defensible decision making, recording and being held accountable

· Show initiative in tackling issues within the service and in relation to other agencies.

· Act as a champion for the implementation of the pilot programme in your area

· Hold a full driving license, have access to a car and be able to travel across the pilot area as required.

· Partake in evening and weekend work as required.
