What you’ll be doing? 

The Minorities Community Gambling Link Worker will deliver an awareness-raising and personalised, holistic support programme for minority community groups in Lambeth experiencing gambling and gambling addiction-related harm, or those impacted by the gambling of a close family member. You will:

• Deliver an outreach programme by regularly attending community events, visiting local groups/ spaces and organisations frequented by minority community groups in Lambeth.

• Develop partnerships and deliver outreach support to primary and secondary care partners and services across Lambeth.

• Speak with minority community groups in Lambeth, either 1-2-1 or presenting to groups, to discuss the type of support available and promote the work and support of the Primary Care Gambling Service and Age UK Lambeth services. 

• Provide holistic support to patients referred to the Primary Care Gambling Service, helping to address housing, debt, bereavement, loneliness, mental health and other related social issues, that are both a symptom and/or a cause of their gambling.

• Meet clients on a one-to-one basis, making home visits where appropriate and allowing clients the time and space to discuss ‘what matters to me’.

You will lead 2 Business Development Managers directly to deliver a 6-figure team new business target across the country. ABOUT THE ROLE

We are hiring an Area Manager to provide management and oversight for services which span across the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC). Our services provide 154 units of accommodation to people experiencing homelessness and have complex needs. The services are 24 hour supported accommodation sites. You will have the overall responsibility to deliver the highest standards of service quality, performance and improvements across your services through excellent leadership and embodiment of our SIG values.

As the Area Manager, you will lead the team to deliver exemplar Trauma Informed support to our residents and participants. The current team you will directly manage:

• Deputy Manager x 3
• Activities Coordinator x 1
• Resettlement Manager x 1

Rota: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, flexibility required to meet service needs, based across all RBKC services under your area

The in-service leadership team support a team of frontline Support Mentors and Peer Support mentors to deliver dynamic and flexible person centred support aimed at empowering our residents to make and sustain positive change.

Line Management and Leadership

• Provide high quality support, leadership and line management to staff, offer guidance, support, and advice to the team and support them to perform to the best of their abilities.

Service Delivery

• Manage the overall day-to-day operational delivery of your service, working directly with your team, colleagues, residents and participants, as well as other stakeholders to provide a high-quality, holistic service which meets the needs of our residents.
• Ensure service responsibilities and requirements are carried out effectively. This includes but is not limited to; welfare checks, risk assessments, support sessions, safeguarding checks, training and development, and other responsibilities required for effective service delivery.
• Support the team to carry out their day to day duties and responsibilities, offer guidance and support as necessary. 
• Work proactively to ensure the service and team meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators, and work in line with professional codes of conduct.
• Empower residents and participants to make decisions to take control over their lives, by creating an enabling environment.
• Be part of the operational on-call Rota for providing out-of-hours support across the operations directorate.

Risk Management

• Follow relevant risk assessment and management procedures, share relevant information with others as necessary.
• Ensure all case recording and information is accurately recorded in a timely manner, ensuring confidentiality and GDPR.
• Champion, and act as a point of reference for safeguarding concerns within the service(s). Ensure all staff attend relevant safeguarding and training and use knowledge to coach and advise the team.

Property and Housing Management

• Ensure the accommodation in which residents live is clean and maintained to a high standard
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance issues are correctly reported and managed through to completion.
• Ensure a provision of high quality housing management service is provided to residents. 

Financial Management

• Manage the service budget and review monthly management accounts: Set budgets and ensure resources are maximised.
• Promote effective cost control mechanisms and other financial activities.
• Maintain financial management within the service.

Other

• Some of what else is included: Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required. 

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position. Please refer to the JDPS attached for more information.

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Understanding and/or experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
• Experience of working with and engaging with diverse groups of people from varying backgrounds
• Previous experience in people management and development
• IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software.
• Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
• Understanding of Housing Management, including voids and evictions

You will help maximise supporter recruitment and development opportunities whilst ensuring long-term growth for St Giles Hospice.

To manage the delivery of the Individual Giving Programme which includes recruiting new cash and regular giving supporters from a variety of multi-channel campaigns and initiatives. To deliver the warm campaigns such as cash appeals, regular giving, raffles and lottery.

To manage the stewardship of supporters through the proactive and effective data management, delivering an excellent supporter experience through targeted supporter journeys. To develop, deliver and proactively manage campaign plans, budgets, and reports for senior stakeholders.

Recently named Charity of the Year by Just Giving Awards 2022, we’re committed to moving further, faster to accelerate change for everyone affected by a brain tumour. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under 40 in the UK than any other cancer. We know that a cure can’t wait.

Our involvement work brings together our community to mobilise urgent change in research, support, campaigning and awareness through the power of their united voices. The insight from our involvement network inspires and drives all our work across The Charity. This role involves actively engaging and stewarding everyone across all relevant and interested groups. This includes providing support to those living with a brain tumour diagnosis, their family and their friends. As part of our services team, you will ensure we engage all groups including those disadvantaged and less heard from, championing the voices of our wider community to grow our involvement network.  You will also collaborate with those professionally committed to the cause, including our research community, to ensure that people affected by brain tumours have the chance to both shape and participate in research opportunities. You will be responsible for measuring and sharing the difference we are making through the delivery and analysis of our Improving Brain Tumour Care Surveys, empowering the community to identify the gaps in treatment and care experiences, so we can make a difference where it matters most.

Who we’re looking for:

The successful candidate will have experience of working with individuals, groups and communities and have the ability to communicate complex information in clear, engaging ways. As a highly motivated and established champion of community involvement, you will have a proven track record of delivering a programme of involvement activities, including tools and resources to support meaningful patient and public involvement in research. You will be keen to use your leadership and relationship building skills to make a real difference, and have an instinct to listen, support and enable the community to drive change. You will have excellent people and influencing skills and the ability to identify smart opportunities, develop action plans and deliver change. With a willingness to learn, you will be evidence-led and analytical when delivering new approaches to involvement across the organisation.

Key accountabilities:

· Grow the involvement of the community in driving development of The Charity’s work including support, campaigns, fundraising, research and strategy

· Develop the involvement strategy and engage teams across the organisation to maximise the use of involvement

· Promote, advise on, and facilitate involvement activities including but not limited to focus groups, workshops and developing and undertaking surveys

· Collaborate with our Research team, contributing to the design and implementation of policies relating to research involvement

· Steward and look after the involvement network and develop their experience in a structured way over time

· Manage our Young Ambassador and Involvement Champion programmes

· Ensure we engage all groups including those disadvantaged and less heard from

· Innovate in involvement by bringing in ideas from others and developing partnerships across the wider ecosystem, in the field of brain tumours and outside the sector

· Identify the gaps in experience of treatment and support of the brain tumour community through the Improving Brain Tumour Care surveys and other feedback mechanisms 

· With the Head of Services, ensure that all services are developed in collaboration and close partnership with representatives from our community from the outset

· As part of the wider services team, work closely with the team and community to review service delivery and development of new content

· Ensure effective operational cover of the support services when required, including own participation in delivery of services

· Provide feedback to funders and other stakeholders in a suitable format on our Improving Brain Tumour Care Surveys and involvement outcomes as required

Experience:

· Proven track record in a similar role for at least two years i.e. leading on involvement and participation work especially in a health, research, social care or third sector environment

· Experience of developing, implementing and evaluating patient and public engagement and involvement strategies and methodologies, preferably in a research environment

· Designed and run user insight work, including online and in person workshop facilitation and interviews

· Designed and built online surveys, including delivering quantitative and qualitative research methods and their application

· Experience of working with and supporting people affected by neurological disorders and/or people affected by brain tumours

· Recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers

· Proven experience of identifying, working to and delivering on Key Performance Indicators and clearly demonstrating impact

· Experience of using a CRM database to accurately record data and create reports that will drive operational, funding and strategic decisions forward

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· A good understanding of patient and public involvement and the health research environment (including the research process and methodology)

· Analytical and insight measurement.  Particularly adept at Excel and using survey tools

· Excellent communication skills especially digital channels, social media and online communities

· Excellent and persuasive communicator with internal and external stakeholders (written, oral including public speaking and presentations)

Projects and Partnerships Manager

We are looking for a Projects and Partnerships Manager to join the team in this exciting role, working with a network of youth charities, where no two days are the same.

About the Role

The role requires a well-structured and highly organised approach, to ensure delivery and reporting is of the highest quality and a creative and proactive approach, to navigate challenges and hold others to account, when needed. The project management aspect of the role requires someone who is an excellent communicator with responsibility to oversee Service Level Agreements (agreed outputs, outcomes and communications) between the organisation and Youth Zones, and their relationships with funders.. We are seeking an established corporate fundraiser with a professional background or education in international development, humanitarian, or peacebuilding. You will have a startup mentality, working with limited resources to find ways to engage businesses with World Vision’s work. You will have the freedom to develop and implement engagement and partnership development tactics, and to use creative approaches. To manage and develop the b inspired Neighbourhood Support Service in Braunstone, ensuring that business plan targets are achieved and positive community impact is delivered.

Responsible for operational management of the staff team, volunteers and site. Oversee and develop partnership working arrangements with other agencies and providers, to enhance the offer to local residents.  Ensuring resident engagement and consultation is a priority and contributes to the Neighbourhood Management arrangements.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Staff Management:

1. Provide strong leadership (lead by example) ensuring that “front-line” staff are well-motivated and aspire to excellence in service provision.

2. Provide day-to-day management and supervision of service-based Co-ordinaters and other support staff, ensuring business plan targets are achieved.

3. Recruit, select, train (product, systems and procedures), coach, motivate, supervise and appraise staff in order to meet the Neighbourhood Support Business Plan targets.

4. Analyse the training needs of staff, identifying skill sets and the need for development where appropriate. Work with the HR Officer to ensure training is relevant and conducted in a structured manner as part of a personal development plan.

5. Plan and arrange staff work patterns, in conjunction with Service Co-ordinators, ensuring that annual leave and flexi-leave arrangements meet the needs of the service.

6. Ensure that team members maintain accurate, comprehensive and current records via the company management information system

7. Lead the development of a robust Volunteer Strategy.

Direct Services & Project Management:

8. Plan new projects in collaboration with senior management.

9.  Source and respond to funding opportunities (grants, donations, contracts) – completing applications and tenders with associated budgets.

17. Ensure Service Co-ordinaters fully understand and adopt financial systems and that adequate records are in place to exercise budgetary control.

18. Regularly report progress against the Business Plan targets and budgetary information to the Chief Officer for reporting through to the Board.

19. Supported by Head of Operations, create annual budgets and Business Plans for the service and projects in line with the company planning cycles.

Neighbourhood Development & Resident Engagement:

20.  Promote and develop good relationships with local service providers and delivery partners - helping them to be responsive and sensitive to local needs.

21. Oversee the maintenance and promotion of the Braunstone Neighbourhood Management Board.

22. Co-ordinate and organise local surveys and consultations in the Braunstone area and collate/ analyse the findings for dissemination.

23.  Oversee the creation of the bi-annual Braunstone Neighbourhood Action Plan.

General Duties:

24. Carry out work in such a way as to promote the Company’s wider aims, objectives and agreed policies.

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams.
