Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are recruiting for a Parliamentary Officer who will develop and coordinate effective links between the Poverty Truth Network and parliamentarians, promoting a relationally-based approach to policy development and legislation.
You will be a highly motivated person with a proven track record of developing and delivering strategies to influence policy and political stakeholders to achieve change, ideally within a parliamentary or government setting.
Key Tasks
- To develop, with appropriate input from the Director and Partnership Manager, the Network’s approach to engaging with parliamentarians (Politics Alongside) in line with its values and practices
- To ensure that Poverty Truth Commissioners are at the heart of the Network’s parliamentary engagement
- To develop and, where appropriate, establish links with UK and devolved Parliaments and governments to promote the work of the Network
- To coordinate and help to deliver parliamentary events on behalf of the Network, including mapping topics and attendees, working with other partners as appropriate
- To support the development of effective links with Combined Authorities and other devolved administrations
- To work closely with members of the Amplify Team to promote its groups proposals for change
- To support parliamentary engagement, including through written briefings, for the Network’s other national programmes, including Economics for All
- To work with the Communications and Learning & Evaluation Officers to promote and identify best practice to governments and parliaments
- To undertake other appropriate duties as requested by the Partnership Manager
This role involves working from home with some travel.

Based in Surrey, the Orpheus Centre is an independent specialist college and charity that focuses on developing independence skills through performing and visual arts and makes dramatic improvements to young disabled adults’ lives. We are currently looking for a driven and pro-active Events Fundraiser to develop, coordinate and deliver the charity’s fundraising events and orchestrate experiences from initial concept to post event analysis. This includes pre-event planning and development, concept development and proposal.
Working closely with the Head of Capital Appeal and Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager, you will design and deliver events which steward and develop key contacts as part of our Capital Appeal.
The role holder will have strong administration skills, attention to detail and work as part of a team. You will be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, managing a wide range of tasks.
35 hours per week / 52 weeks per year
Salary: £28,000 - 32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Essential qualifications, knowledge and experience:

Context and purpose of the role

You will join a small, high-performing team responsible for generating £5 million per year from individual giving, legacies, grants and corporate partners, all to deliver the Ramblers ambition for a future where everyone can enjoy the benefits of walking in nature.
Working closely with the Product & Innovation Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the fundraising strategy, leading on the delivery of our individual giving and legacy marketing campaigns across a range of channels. You will create high-quality, compelling campaign materials and ensure an excellent donor experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Income generation
- Play a key role in the implementation and delivery of the individual giving and legacy marketing strategy
- Support the growth of individual giving income in line with annual targets
- Develop and deliver regular cash and legacy marketing appeals to a high level, including:
- Developing propositions and cases for support
- Create compelling direct marketing materials, including writing persuasive copy and developing strong creative content
- Project management to ensure delivery on schedule and within budget
- Managing relationships with agencies and suppliers including design and print
- Manage a portfolio of affiliate fundraising campaigns
Donor stewardship
- Ensure the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is used effectively to facilitate accurate supporter stewardship and reporting
- Effectively manage communications with supporters, including ensuring that donations are thanked appropriately, managing fundraising inboxes, and responding to queries
- Working with the Production & Innovation Manager, identify a pipeline of potential mid- and high-value donors for stewardship and conversion
Data and reporting
- Produce campaign and programme level reporting and analysis
- Work closely with the data team to ensure selections are accurate, timely and relevant to our various audiences, and use income data to make recommendations for future campaigns
- Maintain accurate, up to date and compliant records of individual giving campaigns and appeals
- Provide regular financial reports and reforecasts to the Product & Innovation Manager and Head of Fundraising
Relationships
- Build strong working relationships with staff within various functions of the Ramblers
- Work with other members of the Fundraising, Communications and Supporter Care teams to ensure that all supporter communications are part of an integrated supporter journey
The Person
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Experience working within a target-driven fundraising or direct marketing team, ideally within an individual giving context
- Experience of managing fundraising or marketing projects across a range of channels, such as direct mail, social media and email
- Experience of data-driven marketing campaigns, including segmentation and campaign analysis to meet objectives
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to a wide range of audiences
- Excellent creative skills, including the ability to write compelling, accurate and persuasive copy across a range of channels
- Competent in the use of IT tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

You will be a highly motivated communications specialist with a proven track record of internal and external communications. You will have excellent planning and prioritisation skills to ensure timely delivery of tasks, along with prior proven experience managing social media channels that results in an impact of campaigns and engagement.
Key Tasks
- To create content and coordinate internal communications across the Network staff team, ensuring the effective development and implementation of appropriate channels
- To develop and maintain a communications content calendar when and how the Network’s activity will be effectively communicated
- To coordinate communications across the wider Network, including PTCs, Regional Hubs, and partners, including through the production and dissemination of a regular digital newsletter
- To develop, post and oversee content for the Network’s social media channels to promote the effectiveness of the Network’s approach and the impact of PTCs and commissioners

You will play a vital role in influencing activities within the equity and equality workstream by promoting equity of access and experience in end of life care.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead specific areas of policy and influencing work focused on inequities in end of life care, under guidance from the Senior Policy Manager.
- Analyse research and policy trends, develop clear and inclusive policy recommendations, and produce high-quality outputs (briefings, consultation responses, blogs, reports).

The HIV Prevention Peer Project Lead will coordinate a team of workers in the delivery of an HIV prevention project in Southwark borough to increase uptake & awareness of HIV & sexual health testing, PrEP and HIV prevention strategies among Latin American (Spanish and Portuguese speaking) communities. The work involves mapping community locations conducting HIV Prevention outreach and testing and engaging community ambassadors from local Latin American-focused organisations and businesses.
The project aims to raise awareness about methods of HIV Prevention, as well as reduce HIV stigma alongside improving the general health and wellbeing for Latin American communities in Southwark.
Programme
The Southwark Latin Community HIV Prevention Project will deliver a targeted programme of outreach, engagement, and education to the Latin American community in Southwark. The programme will include street-based outreach with our community engagement bus, Point of Care HIV testing and PrEP awareness sessions in community spaces such as high streets, local markets, nightclubs, bars/restaurants, and local Latin support and social organisations.
Role
You will coordinate a small team of staff and volunteers to provide education, support and HIV testing and referral services to Latin Communities in Southwark. You will coordinate monthly outreach activities using our mobile community testing bus to deliver interventions that increase HIV and sexual health testing uptake, condom usage, PrEP awareness, HIV treatment adherence support and reduce HIV stigma. You will also deliver broader health advice, interventions, and referrals for Latin American populations, such as GP registration, blood pressure, blood sugar, weight management & smoking cessation.
You will gather data from outreach and collate to create quarterly reporting for our funders.
You will work with the METRO Comms team to develop promotional materials, create a social media impact, and establish service branding to support effective community engagement and service delivery.
The post holder is required to be fluent speaker in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese.
The applicant would have the ability to drive our outreach bus (desirable but not essential). For this, our insurance requires that you be aged between 25 and 70 and that you have held a UK, Category B driving licence for 2 years.

Peer Support Integration Manager – HIV Services (East Anglia)
Salary: £36,000 per annum
Contract: 12 months (potential to extend)
Location: Hybrid – Remote with travel across East Anglia and occasional visits to London

We’re seeking a Peer Support Integration Manager to lead the delivery of a new programme embedding lived experience into clinical settings across three ICBs in East Anglia. This role is central to ensuring newly diagnosed individuals and those at risk of disengaging receive person-centred, empowering support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating peer support services across NHS sites
- Supervising peer caseworkers and volunteers

Essential:

About the role
This is a key role in providing administration and organisational support to the CEO and the Board. The successful candidate must have the ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative skills, and the ability to maintain a balance among multiple priorities. This is a part-time position with flexibility on the number of days worked each week, with a minimum of one to two days in the office.
What you will be doing
- Manage the Chief Executive's schedule and diary ensuring there is adequate time for meeting preparation and follow-up.
- Provide project support and co-ordinate briefing packs for the Chief Executive to ensure they have comprehensive information for any meetings and activities.
- Manage the Boards meeting schedule and calendar of events.
- Attend meetings, including the Annual General Meeting, to take and produce accurate minutes and update the Rolling Agenda and Actions Sheet.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality.

We are London Youth: a charity on a mission to support the capital's youth sector to improve the lives of young people. We do this with and through our members - a network of six hundred youth organisations - and at our two outdoor residential centres, Hindleap Warren and Woodrow High House.

We are looking for someone to join our Young People Learning team to support the coordination of our programmes for young people across England and Wales.
We are looking for someone with a passion for empowering young people and understanding of school’s curricula in England and Wales to coordinate. Your role ensures that operational delivery plans are implemented in your defined area, meeting all targets and KPIs. There is a significant external remit, and you will be expected to pro-actively manage relationships with schools and Local Authorities, to support schools as they participate in our programmes.
You will monitor the quality and impact of our programmes, ensuring this is captured and fed back to our Facilitators and Young People Development Lead to ensure continuous improvement. You will also be working together with the rest of the Young People Learning team to coordinate activity, such as Workshops, Dragons’ Dens and Awards, to ensure a clearly mapped out timetable. To support the Young People Administrator in scheduling activity, you will be expected to pass-on details from schools and partners in a timely manner.
You will also have opportunities to work with colleagues across the business, for example colleagues in sales and partnerships, to implement delivery plans as agreed by external partners and funders.

· Responsible for gathering and collating evaluation data and case study information during programme delivery and at events to evidence impact.
· Maintain up to date records on our CRM system, HubSpot, and impact data on Microsoft Forms and SharePoint.
· Providing accurate management information and case studies for reporting to external stakeholders.
· Gathering intelligence and local insight, needs and funding opportunities to help inform the overall UK Young People sales and strategy.
· Work collaboratively with fellow Coordinators to lead the continuous improvement and innovation of processes and procedures, enhancing efficiency while developing your capability, confidence, and skills.
