We are seeking an Marketing and Communications Officer to join our team who would focus on our two years development strategy and supporting income generation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving and developing the communication and marketing activities to existing donors and attracting new donors, working with our Fundraising Manager. Lumos is an international children’s charity founded in 2005 by the author J.K. Rowling to end the harmful practice of institutionalisation of children. The role of Health and Safety Advisor will be to review, monitor and advise on Health and Safety (H&S) processes, policies, risk assessments and safe working practices across the charity.

The successful candidate will report to the charity’s Risk Manager, but be expected to work closely with other teams, in particular the Estates and Facilities, and Operations teams.

A recognised Health and Safety Qualification (e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate, or equivalent) is essential for this role.

Overall objectives:

• To be the subject matter expert for staff, volunteers, visitors and contractors dealing with health and safety issues across all three sites.
• Write high quality practical guidance and policies for H&S at Battersea.
• Embed H&S policies and processes across Battersea.
• Help train and educate managers and team leaders in their H&S responsibilities.
• Develop and sign-off H&S risk assessments where appropriate.
• Work closely with the H&S Officer in the Estates and Facilities Team.

The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated CRM and Customer Data Lead to join the Data Services Team.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Data Services, the CRM and Customer Data Lead will ensure that the charity get the most out of the CRM data so that it can deliver insight driven selections and segmentations for the whole organisation, supporting and collaborating with colleagues to reach and engage with customers in a compliant and customer-centred way.

About Emmaus

Emmaus is a secular organisation supporting homeless and socially excluded people by providing a home for as long as it is needed, meaningful work experience in a social enterprise and a sense of belonging and community. There are currently 29 Emmaus communities in the UK stretching from Glasgow to Dover and Norfolk to South Wales, collectively supporting more than 850 people. There are also 3 Emmaus groups working towards the development of services in their areas. About the role

Our team of Regional Communications Officers support Emmaus communities and groups to increase their profile and engage supporters. You will work closely with up to four Emmaus charities to identify their communications needs, plan and deliver work to help achieve their goals.

Who are we looking for?

We require someone with excellent skills and knowledge in communications, public relations and marketing with at  least two years’ experience working in a busy and varied communications role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.

Within this hybrid role, you can be based at home or in an Emmaus community. Wherever you are located, maintaining ongoing positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is vitally important. This role will suit someone located in the South West or London as regular travel (usually at least one community visit per week) will be required to Bristol, Gloucester and London.
