Are you a relationship-builder with a passion for making a difference? We’re looking for a Philanthropy Manager to lead our high-net-worth giving strategy, with a special focus on Donor Advised Funds (DAFs). In this role, you’ll build meaningful connections with Wealth Advisors and DAF Managers whose clients have the potential to give £100k or more—all in support of our mission to end animal cruelty.

You’ll work closely with our Senior Manager of Major Gifts and Senior Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Operations to launch and grow our DAF strategy in the UK. Together, you’ll help expand our reach and deepen our impact by engaging generous individuals who share our vision for a more humane world for animals.

Essential Responsibilities 

• Develop and implement ongoing strategies for Humane World for Animals’ growth in private philanthropy amongst wealth advisors, individuals and DAF managers in the UK, ensuring a strong ROI and including setting appropriate KPIs to monitor progress and measure success. 
• Align the UK DAF strategy with the broader high net worth engagement strategy , collaborating with colleagues to maximise impact. 
• Build Humane World for Animals’ UK DAF portfolio: identify, cultivate, solicit and deliver significant relationships and partnerships with wealth advisors and DAF managers. 
• Conduct outreach to wealth advisors outside the Humane World for Animals network who may not yet be familiar with our work and raising our profile with this specific audience, including via networking and events opportunities. 
• Formulate and implement individual strategies for developing key DAF partnerships and initiatives around programmatic priorities, mobilising necessary internal and external resources to ensure all partnerships are effectively executed and partners’ needs are fully met. Includes proposal development work. 
• Act as an internal expert on the DAF landscape within the UK, bringing this to bear when developing proposals and ideas with programmatic staff. 
• Contribute to internal collaboration on breakthrough solutions that can deliver social impact at scale for complex philanthropic relationships which span a variety of mechanisms of giving. 
• Partner across revenue streams (including corporate partnerships, foundations, and major gifts) to maximise and leverage fundraising opportunities. 
• Lead on our high net worth income from individuals;  identify, cultivate, solicit and deliver significant relationships. 
• Develop working relationships with program staff in order to identify funding opportunities and access program information that can be used to cultivate and steward wealth advisors. 
• Stay abreast of key issues and trends in the international aid and wealth advisor community. 
• Use our CRM (ROI Solutions) to track all DAF activity and revenue and activity projection in line with our data protection and privacy policies. 
• Effectively represent Humane World for Animals to external audiences for both fundraising and profile elevation. 
• Identify opportunities to represent Humane World for Animals on panels and events of interest to wealth advisors, including strategising around Humane World for Animals specific-events to engage wealth advisors. 
• Strategic engagement with senior stakeholders to support donor engagement. 

A successful candidate would have strong communication skills—both written and verbal—will be key, along with the ability to connect authentically with a wide range of people. You’ll be confident working independently, but also enjoy collaborating across teams to make things happen. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader for our transformative LGBTQIA+ youth project. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in LGBTQIA+ young people’s lives, leading a dedicated and passionate team.

Main Responsibilities:

• To lead on planning and facilitating group sessions, activities and trips for the Project Indigo group. Planning to incorporate the views and interests of members and develop opportunities for partnership working.
• Managerial responsibilities, including line management, budget management, monitoring and evaluation
• Developing and delivering strategic projects within the City and Hackney CAMHS Alliance to promote LGBTQIA+ inclusivity

Main Requirements:

• Strong experience in LGBTQIA+ youth work, and understanding intersecting social issues impacting young LGBTQIA+ people
• Understanding of best practice for supporting young LGBTQIA+ people and promoting LGBTQIA+ inclusivity within youth services
• Management experience on multi-faceted projects; strong leadership skills, ability to take initiative, and work effectively to manage competing priorities

You will further deliver one-to-one support with residents directly, developing personalised support plans, risk assessments, facilitating life skills sessions, and help individuals access services, resources, and opportunities within the community. Our support is tailored towards providing person centred support to empower our residents to achieve their personal goals and independent living. You will be instrumental in creating a safe, flexible, inclusive, and psychologically informed environment that promotes dignity, choice, and empowerment.

The Opportunity

This role at WFN provides an exciting opportunity to lead on the development of our growing Winner Network Development (WND) programme, identified as one of the charity’s key areas for strategic growth and maximised impact over the coming years. We are looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing communicator who is passionate about conservation and can drive forward and create connections between our global network of over 220 conservationists, fostering knowledge exchange, capacity development and collaboration. As part of this programme the Grants and Network Manager (GNM) will help with delivery of annual thematic training workshops, with opportunity for international travel. The GNM will also assist our Head of Grants (HG) in monitoring our portfolio of active grants, with support from the Grants Assistant (GA). The GNM will also participate in the Whitley Awards application process by helping to screen the grant applications and supporting with due diligence. If you have a conservation background, and experience with capacity development programmes, proactively managing growing networks, and monitoring active grants, then this is the role for you.

GRANTS AND NETWORK MANAGER - PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Essential:

· MSc or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Conservation/ Zoology/ Environmental Science)

· Experience cultivating and managing networks of people, with a proven track record of successful engagement and network growth

· Requisite experience in managing a portfolio of active grants within the environmental NGO sector including ongoing monitoring and evaluation

· Past experience with capacity development initiatives and/or facilitating trainings and events, including organising logistics

· Demonstrable understanding of grassroots conservation projects, issues, and solutions

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels (interface with team members, trustees, international grantees, donors, external assessors, suppliers)

· Innovative and strategic thinker; able to spot opportunities to maximise the collective impact of our winner network

· Efficient and organised, with high attention to detail whilst ensuring deadlines are met

· Proven ability in effective budgeting, negotiating and budget management

· Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint

· Flexible ‘can do’ approach and will flourish in a small office environment

About the Role

We’re looking for a flexible, compassionate and organised Project Worker to join us from October. You’ll support our Winter Night Shelter, assist with guest services and casework, and lead on communications through social media and newsletters.

• Staffing 2 evening shelter shifts per week (Nov–Apr)

Role Requirements

You will play a vital role in coordinating care and supporting the management of the House, serving as a key contact for families and the multidisciplinary team. Collaborating with the House Manager and Placement Managers, you will help ensure that care is effectively planned, resourced, and delivered safely at all times.

You will support the house manager to ensure that the care on house or houses enables the children to access their education and/or rehabilitation sessions, clinics, and leisure activities in their timetable.

You will work as part of a leadership team comprising of a house manager, deputy house manager / deputy clinical lead and a clinical lead (per house) responsible for one or two houses within a rotational model. You will individually (not as a team) rotate at a house level on a twelve-monthly basis.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.
