Overview of the Regional Coordinator role and the team
The Regional Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing the mission of Barnabas Aid by

Main duties and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Research grant management
- Managing the delivery of GOSH Charity’s response-mode funding schemes, including our National Research Project Grant and ‘Lift Off’ pilot study funding call and others.
- Supporting potential applicants via email, phone or in person to ensure we receive high quality grant applications.
- Processing, reviewing and validating grant applications.
- Leading the peer review process using our Grant Management System.
- Project managing the delivery of the Research Assessment Panel.

Committee management

Recovery Support Team Leader Location: London Salary: £30,082 per annum, plus benefits Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time We are recruiting for a Recovery Support Team Leader. The Recovery Support service is available to current or former Forward Trust clients who are on a substance misuse recovery pathway, making good progress within the Forward Trust towards their personal goals, and coming to the end of their current treatment pathway. While Recovery Support is not exclusively for clients who are abstinent, clients will need to be in control of their drink and/ or drug use, and not be chaotic in their using i.e. heavy drinking, antisocial behaviour, daily/binge using of either drugs or alcohol (especially main substance/s of choice). Forward Connect is a peer-led mutual aid community of like-minded people who are making good progress in their own journey – this could be people in addiction recovery, moving away from crime, overcoming mental health problems, or who are coming out of a period of unemployment or homelessness. Roles Responsibilities The Team Leader will be based within the central Recovery Support team. The Team Leader will be responsible for co-ordinating all recovery support functions across Forward Trust’s substance misuse services into a coherent and effective service that offers inspiration and a structured pathway to recovery for service users, as well as supporting to develop our peer led network called Forward Connect. The Team leader will also support with the delivery of the peer mentoring strategy in their allocated geographical areas. The aim of the role is to have a robust recovery support service integrated into all services, promoting and modelling the organisations values and ethos, supporting service users to further develop their recovery and lives, whilst bringing visible lived experience to all including staff via a range of recovery support interventions. The role is Hybrid. There is no set base but travelling is needed to Islington (London) as will require regular weekly visits to the 3 better lives buildings and occasional cover of weekend shifts in this area. You will also need to travel to units within their geographical areas which does include prisons and community projects. Some travel may be covered by the Forward Trust depending on your base, but ideally you should be based within 20 miles of Islington. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Alongside this, we also have colleagues offering training and consultancy to businesses and health and social care professionals alike, raising awareness on gender based violence issues.

About the role
This is a key role in providing administration and organisational support to the CEO and the Board. The successful candidate must have the ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative skills, and the ability to maintain a balance among multiple priorities. This is a part-time position with flexibility on the number of days worked each week, with a minimum of one to two days in the office.
What you will be doing
- Manage the Chief Executive's schedule and diary ensuring there is adequate time for meeting preparation and follow-up.
- Provide project support and co-ordinate briefing packs for the Chief Executive to ensure they have comprehensive information for any meetings and activities.
- Manage the Boards meeting schedule and calendar of events.
- Attend meetings, including the Annual General Meeting, to take and produce accurate minutes and update the Rolling Agenda and Actions Sheet.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality.

Job Purpose
This role sits within our new forensic Women’s Nova Roots service, which is a peer led service for women who are leaving forensic services, based in West London. The service will be open 3 days a week: one weekday evening out of hours and three weekends a month (flexible weekend pattern and times can be arranged).
The aim of the service is to support women who are leaving forensic care to re-integrate into society by offering a community social hub. The focus of the service is to provide social engagement, relaxation and a touch point for out of hours forensic support. The Women’s Hub will provide face-to-face holistic group support, offer psychoeducation and health workshops tailored and coproduced to the direct needs of clients, offer peer-led groups which will be co-designed and led by the clients accessing the hub. We will also offer a range of activities onsite.
Nova Roots will be an extension of the existing support offered by the Specialist Community Forensic Team (SCFT), offering out of hours social support. All referrals into the hub will be directly from the SCFTs and local hospitals.
The Nova Roots will be staffed with 1 part time Project Coordinator and 4 Forensic/Peer Led Volunteers – with Service Manager oversight. The Project Coordinator will work directly and closely with the SCFTs.
The Role
The role of the Nova Roots Project Coordinator is to arrange and coordinate a range of psychoeducation, health and peer-led workshops which will be delivered 3 times a week. The Nova Roots Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing the 4 peer-led volunteers and oversight of the site 3 days a week. The Nova Roots Project Coordinator will also be required to be in regular communication with the SCFTs.
The role will require hybrid working: onsite when the hub is open and 1 day of planning/coordination which can be worked remotely on a rota basis.

Person Specification

Purpose of the Evaluation Consultancy
We want to understand, evidence and improve the impact of OSH’s work. This evaluation consultancy will:
- Deliver an independent evaluation report of OSH’s impact to date.
- Co-produce a robust, coherent, ethical evaluation framework with OSH’s young people, staff and volunteers which is aligned with OSH’s ethos, Theory of Change and strategic priorities.
- Test and iterate this framework across our residentials, hubs, and leadership programmes.
- Develop tools, templates and staff training to ensure OSH can embed and sustain a culture of learning and impact internally.
Objectives & Scope of Work
The consultant will be responsible for (not necessarily in this order):
- Design & Deliver an Independent mixed-methods evaluation
- Co-design & test an impact framework
- Embedding & Handover

Deliverables
- Independent evaluation report, written in an accessible format including a one-page summary briefing.
- A refined Evaluation Framework with defined indicators, data collection methods, and ethical guidelines.
- Tools/templates for data collection and analysis (e.g. surveys, outcome tracking, case study templates).
- Staff-facing evaluation guide (written in accessible, youth-friendly language).
- Workshop or training session for OSH staff on using the framework.
Timeline
We anticipate the work to take place across July 2025 - January 2026, with the report based on phases 1 and 2 complete by the end of 2025. The consultant must be available to work closely with OSH teams and visit residentials and hub.
Budget
The budget for this work is £10,000-12,000, inclusive of all consultant expenses and VAT. Compensation to enable the young people’s participation will not be paid out of this budget, but rather by OSH separately.

About You
We are seeking a consultant (or small team) who can demonstrate:
- A strong track record of designing evaluation frameworks for youth-focused or refugee organisations.
- A commitment to and track record in participatory evaluation and co-production, as well as expertise in mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative).
- Understanding of trauma-informed, ethical, and culturally sensitive research.
- Ability to communicate findings and tools in accessible, engaging formats. This includes both written reports and face-to-face training formats.
- Alignment with OSH’s values.
- An enhanced DBS check.
Lived experience of migration or forced displacement is highly welcomed.

These are innovative roles to develop social prescribing in the local NHS. Based in one of the six Primary Care Networks (PCN) you will work in different GP practices across that Network to deliver their specific priorities. You will join a team of ten Social Prescribing Link Workers working in Haringey PCNs and be part of a wider community-based Borough team which offers information, signposting and short-term support across the eight localities in Haringey.
Social prescribing empowers people to take control of their health and wellbeing through referral to non-medical Social Prescribing Link Workers, who give time, focus on ‘what matters to me’ and take a holistic approach, connecting people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support.
Social prescribing can help to strengthen community resilience and personal resilience and reduces health inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing people’s active involvement with their local communities. It particularly works for people with long-term conditions (including support for mental health), for people who are lonely or isolated, or have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.
At the centre of the social prescribing process is the Social Prescribing Link Worker, working with GP Practices in a Primary Care Network, who connects patients who are referred to a range of activities and services in the local area depending on their needs, interests and capacity for engagement. This is a complex role as the SPLW will need to have good interpersonal skills to engage with the patient and have a comprehensive knowledge of the services and activities available in the local area.
