In alignment with SPANA's 2023-2027 strategy and the Global Programmes Department 2025 business plan, the Programme Quality and Delivery (PQD) team is focused on the development of a high quality, innovative portfolio that delivers immediate and lasting change for working animals.
We are looking for an experienced senior consultant to provide interim strategic support and continuity to our PQD team during a transitional period whilst we recruit for a permanent Head of PQD.

Introduction
Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis (CF). We fund vital research, improve care, speak out and race towards effective treatments for all. We won’t stop until everyone with cystic fibrosis can live without limits. CF is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 11,000 people in the UK.
In recent years, improvements in the treatments for CF have transformed the symptoms and quality of life experienced by many, but not all of the community. The enormous leap forward that has been made is both wonderful and challenging and brings new support needs.
With better health, more people with CF now want to plan careers, but need to balance this with management of their condition. Others still need support with barriers to work or help to navigate their rights at work when they need to focus on their health. This led us to create Work Forwards, a dedicated programme of career, work and employment support for the CF community.

Project Brief
We are now looking to work with a freelance digital creative producer/editor to deliver some of the project’s key resources.
Working closely with Cystic Fibrosis Trust throughout, the freelancer will provide creative input to identify the most engaging way to execute these resources within the available budget, and will carry out the design and delivery, giving us a set of impactful resources to support people with CF in work and employment.
These resources represent the culmination of work done over the course of the Work Forwards programme so far, and need to be delivered in mid-August 2025 ahead of a major report to our funder, the National Lottery Community Fund, in September 2025.
Key Deliverables
· 6 x 30-90 second videos to explain CF related employment rights to young people affected by CF (scripts and voice-overs are already arranged)
· An engaging, informative resource to help employers understand cystic fibrosis (information content already available, but we would like the freelancer to offer creative input into how this is presented).
Resources must be high quality, accessible and delivered in line with our brand guidelines.
Indicative Budget
There is budget available to deliver this project and this is in the region of £2,500 - £6,000. This must cover all costs to complete this work, including consultant fees, and any materials and resources needed to undertake the project and deliver these resources.
It is accepted that it may be the responsibility of some other providers (including ourselves) to collect and provide some of the information and content required.
Given the available budget, we do not expect this role to involve filming, but we are looking for the freelancer to bring their creative ideas on how we can amplify the project and make the content accessible and engaging.

The successful person will:
· Be a proactive and creative digital storyteller with a strong track record in video editing and producing content for social media

Role description
As our director of digital and information security, you will lead our digital risk and resilience team and programme in order to help build resistance and resilience among the people and movements challenging unaccountable power.
Your focus in this senior role at this crucial time will be on leadership, strategy, growth, and culture, with specific responsibility for our digital risk and resilience programme, internal information security, and tech transformation. Your responsibilities will include:
Lead our digital risk and resilience programme
- Manage the design and delivery of our digital and information security support, including:
- Coordinate the digital security mentoring, accompaniment, and capacity sharing we deliver to at-risk activists and low-resource civil society organisations referred through our rapid response mechanism.
- Oversee the professional information security consultancy and advisory services we provide to high-profile nonprofit and foundation clients.

Do you have experience in generating and sustaining charitable giving from individuals and nurturing a Friends scheme in the Arts education sector? Are you passionate about choral singing and its power to change the lives of children and young people and can you successfully advocate on our behalf to potential major donors?
The primary focus for the new role is to generate sustainable charitable giving from individuals, maintaining and growing our Friends memberships and developing significant income from major donors. We will also welcome input on stewardship of trusts and foundations if this is also your area of expertise.
We are a leading choral singing organisation and run residential summer courses for children and young people. Our artistic director, Ralph Allwood, founded the organisation 45 years ago, since when over 10,000 young people have benefited from our life-changing courses. Nowadays, around one third of students receive generous bursary support to attend a course and we also work with a range of partner organisations to encourage even more young people from diverse backgrounds to take part in our choral singing courses. We want to secure the future of the organisation and increase the number of students we can support by significantly growing our individual giving.
We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to work up to 2 days per week on a freelance basis to help us move up a gear or two in terms of our fundraising, specifically to develop private giving from our extensive alumni network and the many successful individuals who feel music education at a young age made them the person they are today.

About this role:
The main duties and responsibilities for the Heads of Development role are as follows:
INDIVIDUAL GIVING
· Maintain and build relationships with our donors, and identify new individuals who would like to see the Rodolfus Choral Foundation thrive
· Use our extensive alumni list to source and maintain donors
· Use contacts from the artistic director and trustees to generate new donors
· Ensure that our top and potential donors are well looked after and researched, passing on key information to the Artistic Director and, where appropriate, arranging meetings between him and our donors
· Organise and co-host special donor events in unique venues
· Plan and help organise membership events for donors
· Help establish a legacy giving scheme for Rodolfus

This project would support our Evaluation Practice. The evaluation team works with over 1,500 schools and organisations, analysing the impact of programmes and interventions to help them do more of what works and less of what doesn’t for young people. As well as tailored consultancy and support for our partners, we support schools and organisations to collect and evaluate educational data through an in-house digital tool (our “School Impact Platform”) – which this project would support.
The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced data engineer to help transform our data infrastructure to better manage our growing dataset of over 14 billion records and create more efficient analytics capabilities. This is a hands-on technical role that will involve both strategic advisory work and practical implementation.
Initially a fixed-term project of around 3-4 months, working to the project outcomes, there may be opportunities for longer-term advisory and technical support following completion if this is of interest.
We are happy for you to work flexibly although would expect the majority of your time to be committed to this project. We expect the work to be conducted predominantly remotely, with a few key meetings in person at our London offices, though you are welcome to use our office space throughout. We anticipate the project being outside of IR35.
What will you do?
Our School Impact Platform brings together existing data from schools (for example, on student demographics and attendance at school) and other forms of data (for example, surveys on student wellbeing and motivation) to help school leaders and educational organisations better understand the impact of their educational choices and programmes.
Part of this involves processing significant data from schools, and we are looking at options for how this could be handled more effectively and be more easily extracted for analysis.
We currently have 14 billion records in a PostgreSQL table, which we believe could be stored more cost effectively and allow for faster data retrieval by using new or alternative data stores. We would also like to develop data pipelines to take data from Postgres to serve analytics use cases, either in new Postgres tables or potentially in a data warehouse or similar.
We would like someone to help identify the best solutions for both areas, assuming our assumptions are correct, and lead the majority of the implementation. You would work closely with our in-house software development team and an existing consultant with experience in data analytics.

Leadership and Strategy

Role and Responsibilities
The Industry Decarbonisation Lead is a new role, which will work in close collaboration with colleagues across the organisation and is fundamental to the long-term strategy of SteelWatch to transform the iron and steel industry. The core purpose of the role is to cultivate our collective ability to harness credible evidence for our campaigns, and to engage effectively with industry with an ambitious well-informed vision for decarbonisation.
For the initial year(s), there are three main areas of responsibility.
- The Lead will be responsible for navigating and shaping SteelWatch’s positions and point of view on relevant issues regarding steel decarbonisation with a goal of driving long term transition to near-zero emissions steelmaking.
- The Lead will be responsible for managing and shaping our range of work on data, evidence, insights and analysis -with the team members involved - to ensure the quality and relevance of our evidence base and our industry intelligence.
- The Lead will be one of the key spokespeople for the organisation, particularly in industry dialogue and events. The role will report to the Executive Director and is likely to line-manage 1-3 people.
Success for this role will depend on close collaboration with others in SteelWatch including the:
- Steel Analyst, and other team members and consultants working on data and analysis;
- Campaigns Teams, ensuring campaigns are well evidenced, informed and targeted on the critical issues.

Responsibilities
1. Shape, evolve and articulate SteelWatch’s positions and point of view on steel decarbonisation:
SteelWatch already has a strong point of view (POV) on many of the core elements of the iron and steel transition. However, the POV needs to be continually reviewed in the light of new developments, on occasion adapted, and extended to new emerging issues. Sharpening the POV is a collaborative process - the Industry Decarbonisation Lead will be responsible for steering and landing this process. The Lead will:
- Ensure the POV is constantly evolved,improved and adapted through collaboration, guiding the process and landing the outcome;
- Ensure the POV is clearly articulated and socialised internally and externally with allies.
2. Manage and shape our range of work on data, industry trends, and analysis.
SteelWatch currently has in-depth data and news tracking on two companies, the targets of our corporate campaigns. We track iron and steel industry news and analyse industry announcements. We are developing our capacity to react to steel news globally, track blast furnaces investments and other announcements, and rate and rank companies. The Industry Decarbonisation Lead will, in collaboration with the Steel Analyst:
- Shape and prioritise our work on gathering data, tracking industry news, and analysing industry strategies, to support and inform the priorities of the organisation, and ensure we make best use of the information in our campaigns.
- Build capacity within SteelWatch to do this consistently across our growing portfolio of work.
- Ensure the quality and relevance of our evidence base, and the processes we have for updating and using it.
- Continue to build our capacity to assess industry announcements and to use that analysis effectively for pressure.
- Scope, support, and lead projects that are data analysis projects, and hold responsibility for the data analysis component of other projects/campaigns. These are likely to include, corporate scorecard, blast furnace trackers, and data visualisation.
3. Ensure relevance, consistency and accuracy in our external communications.
Our external communications are based on credible evidence and SteelWatch’s POV combined with core narrative (responsibility of the Comms team), and campaign arguments and tactics (responsibility of the Campaigns Team). Working closely with the Steel Analyst who currently is the ‘source of truth’ and fact-checker, the Industry Decarbonisation Lead will:
- Ensure all external outputs are factually correct, credible and in line with our point of view.
- Develop processes and materials that increase technical understanding and consistency across team members and amongst those we communicate most closely with (eg allies, core media).
- Ensure robust processes are in place for fact-checking.
- Lead the development of our series of SteelWatch Explainers to present key concepts in accessible form among allies and industry.
- Support the Communications and Campaign teams to assess what reactive news to prioritise, and to respond quickly and accurately.
- Strengthen our ability to brief and correct journalists, dealing with their misunderstandings around iron and steel.
4. Act as spokesperson for SteelWatch in industry dialogue.
SteelWatch is vigilant and challenging to the steel industry. Our tone of voice varies from the creative campaigns, to the engaged dialogue. The Industry Decarbonisation Lead is expected to communicate externally and directly in dialogue, in writing and especially with the industry stakeholders at conferences, in private meetings or via social media. The lead is not the only voice of the organisation, but should be a focal point in building consistency. They will:
- Attend industry events and discussions, representing SW point of view and strengthening our industry connections;
- Speak at industry events, speak to the media where appropriate.
- Produce high quality written materials, support those written by colleagues, and support high quality data visualisation that communicates our messages.
- Engage actively on LinkedIn (and/or other social media) to respond to industry commentary and engage as SteelWatch.
5. Build relations with industry
SteelWatch is building relations with industry actors, both to share our views and ensure we are up to date on latest trends. The Lead will:
- Through industry events, networks and dialogue, strengthening our industry connections;
- Build relations with industry to acquire up to date information, and increase our ability to sense-check news and respond to trends.
- Keep abreast of industry conversations in order to identify the most relevant shifts, key topics or opportunities for SteelWatch to create pressure for change.
- Support others in SteelWatch to engage with industry, particularly in other regions and languages than your own.
6. Provide line management and task management to team members engaged in data and analysis.
SteelWatch currently has a mixture of long-term and short-term or part-time staff and consultants working on data, tracking and analysis. They are managed by different team members. The Industry Decarbonisation Lead will:
- Set objectives and define tasks for the data team, in line with overall SteelWatch strategy and plans, as they evolve. Provide line management for core data team members.
- Manage consultants focused on data or analysis, adapting TORs and finding new consultants as needed;
- Ensure synergy across the various team members and their work.
Essential skills and experience
- Ten or more years of experience in industry, energy, and/or decarbonisation, of which at least 2 years focused on the steel industry.
- In-depth knowledge of steel decarbonisation pathways, current trends, the challenges and opportunities.
- Proven ability to manage and interpret data, and to use data for powerful arguments.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English, a talent for conveying complex ideas in understandable ways.
- Proven capacity to build collaboration with non-technical colleagues and enhance organisational capacity to use data and evidence.
Desired skills and experience
- Experience working across a range of topics, projects and tasks, juggling short-term deadlines and long-term priorities.

Founded in 2022, the Warm Welcome Campaign wants everyone in the UK to find a place of belonging and reconnection at a Warm Welcome Space near their home. We have a bold ambition to enable a more deeply connected society where we all have free access to welcoming community spaces.
We resource, connect and champion a network of over 5,300 Warm Welcome Spaces and bring together a growing coalition of local, regional, and national partners representing the worlds of charity, faith, business, government, and philanthropy. By working together, we can unlock the power of community spaces made by and for everyone, creating a thriving network of hope and reconnection fueled by human warmth.

To support ongoing growth and development of the Warm Welcome Campaign, we are looking for a Campaign Operations Director to be responsible for the effective and efficient running of the Campaign and to lead on the delivery of our ambitious 5-year strategy. The role will sit within Warm Welcome’s Senior Leadership Team which also includes the Campaign Director, Director of Communications, and Development Director, and will report directly to the Campaign Director (David Barclay).
The purpose of the Warm Welcome Senior Leadership Team is to:
● Own and develop the Warm Welcome strategy, ensuring sustainability and delivery
● Lead, direct, engage and inspire the Warm Welcome team, setting the tone and culture
● Be accountable for significant decisions, challenges and risks.

Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for:
● Ensuring that our 5-year strategy is delivered on time and to budget
● Developing our internal processes and systems during a period of growth
● Managing the Warm Welcome financial management, including internal budgeting, financial reporting, and the development of budgets for funding applications
● Overseeing the Warm Welcome team growth and performance
● Overseeing the teams working on our partnerships and research programmes
● Supporting the delivery of other Warm Welcome efforts, as appropriate.

Communications Assistant
Location: Remote with flexible working arrangements. You will be expected to attend regular team meetings in Bristol (with paid travel and subsistence).
Salary: £26,000 per year FTE, dependent on experience.
Contract: We are open to this role being part time (0.8FTE) or full time. We offer fully flexible working.

The Opportunity

You will provide communications support for Good Faith Partnership and a range of projects we deliver, including:
● The Warm Welcome Campaign for people right across the UK particularly those experiencing fuel poverty or loneliness;
● Welcome Hubs for refugees and asylum seekers;
● ChurchWorks which aims to bring the Christian Church and government closer together to effect positive change in UK society.
We anticipate that the successful candidate will spend around two-thirds of their time supporting the Warm Welcome Campaign and the remainder supporting wider Good Faith Partnership projects.
You’ll work across all aspects of communications, including design and content creation, e-marketing, social media engagement and delivery, events, website management and managing our photo and story libraries. You’ll be delivering communications to support our campaigning and influencing, fundraising, awareness raising, storytelling and brand elevation.
This is an entry level communications post. We’re looking for someone who is organised and systematic, thrives on creating engaging written and visual content, and loves working with all kinds of people. You’ll be encouraged and supported to grow and develop your communications skills and expertise.
Responsibilities
Working closely with the Communications Manager and Director of Communications you will work in the following areas:
Content creation
You will help bring Good Faith’s many projects to life through engaging visuals, videos and communications materials by:
● Creating visual assets using design software such as Canva
● Creating other visual content including short-form video
● Helping commission other visually led content such as banners, flyers and reports
Social media
A significant part of the role includes increasing our reach through social media:
● Creating and scheduling regular content for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky and X
● Using insight data to drive social engagement
● Developing strategic partnerships with relevant accounts on the different social platforms
● Engaging with partners and stakeholders on social platforms—sharing stories with the wider team as standard
● Responding to posts, comments and direct messages
● Monitoring trends through social listening and sharing these with the team
Websites
You will support the Communications Manager by:
● Writing and publishing engaging stories and news items to profile the great work of the team and our projects
● Preparing copy and visuals for web pages in our CMS

Email newsletters
You will work with the Communications Manager to:
● Support email communications
● Help maintain the email communications database
● Create and schedule email communications, ensuring content has been approved by a team member
● Segmenting audiences to keep communications relevant and engaging
PR
You will support the Communications Manager in a year-round programme of PR and media relations by:
● Creating lists of contacts in our media database
● Helping to amplify our news through our email distribution platform
● Monitoring PR mentions of our projects through our media database
Supporting systems and resources
● Taking responsibility for developing and maintaining accessible communications systems
● Managing our digital image and stories library, keeping stories and case studies up to date and searchable by the rest of the team
