Job description

Love to Learn Partnerships Coordinator 

£23,200 (pro rata from £29,000); 28 hours per week; permanent role; Battersea, London SW11

This is an excellent opportunity to work in our well-established and successful education programme, called Love to Learn, which enables young people from a refugee background to overcome barriers to education so that they can thrive and reach their potential. 

This is an exciting new role to develop partnerships with businesses, schools, Wandsworth Council, funders and supporters to strenghten our youth employablity programme, wellbeing work and parent workshops. 

Key Objectives for this Role

  • Work with the Head of Love to Learn and our fundraising team to identify beneficial partnerships
  • Work with our Youth Projects Team and young people to identify sectors and topics of interest to the young people
  • Plan and deliver a calendar of employability events to raise young people’s aspirations and awareness of the world of work
  • Plan and organise monthly events promoting positive wellbeing and personal skills development with and for young people
  • Work with our Advice Team and families/carers to identify areas of need and topics of interest
  • Organise a calendar of parent/carer workshops to develop their knowledge and skills
  • Work with the Community Partnership Manager to build and maintain good relationships with partners and businesses who can support the delivery of the Adolescent Programme and Parent Workshops
  • Work with corporate partners to organise work visits/work experience/shadowing, to give young people experience of the workplace
  • Develop relationships with local schools to enable us to better support the community we work with
  • Be creative and innovative when researching and developing opportunities for young people activities
  • Use participatory methods to involve young people and parents/carers
  • Keep and maintain robust recording and monitoring systems
  • Maintain excellent safeguarding practices
