We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Net Zero Carbon Engagement Officer to support churches across the Westminster Deaneries in their journey towards net zero carbon. This is an exciting opportunity to work with parishes, clergy, volunteers and diocesan colleagues to reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency and care well for creation.
You will play a key role in coordinating activity at a local level, supporting churches with audits, funding applications and delivery of projects, while helping to build learning that can be shared more widely across London.
About the role
Reporting to the Net Zero Carbon Programme Lead, you will:
- Engage with and support churches across the Westminster Deaneries (St Marylebone, Paddington and St Margaret) in progressing towards net zero carbon
- Coordinate and grow the Westminster Climate Forum, encouraging collaboration and shared learning between churches
- Support churches to complete energy and net zero carbon audits and implement recommendations
- Promote funding opportunities and support churches with grant applications
- Work with fundraising colleagues to submit funding bids on behalf of individual churches and groups of churches
- Support churches to submit annual Energy Footprint Tool data
- Oversee grant distribution and support delivery of projects within budget and timescales
- Work with communications colleagues to develop case studies and share learning
- Contribute to developing models for deanery-level net zero carbon coordination across London

We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our helpline, crisis centres, crisis cafes and a weekend Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary. As a member of our team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach as to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect. By honouring the individual experience of each service user, we are able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery.
The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s (HMN) Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Services are:

About the Role
As our Daycare Coordinator, you’ll be the heartbeat of our service — making sure every individual who attends enjoys a positive, person-centred experience.
You’ll support the Daycare Operations Manager in running the service day to day, lead staff and volunteers, and help plan meaningful activities that bring joy, connection, and purpose to the people we support.
This is a hands on, rewarding role for someone who loves people, enjoys variety, and takes pride in delivering high quality care and service.
Key Responsibilities
- To coordinate the day-to-day operations of our daycare service
- Ensure clients attending have a positive and engaging experience.
- Support the Operations manager to deliver high-quality, person-centred support and activities.
- Deputise for the Operations Manager in their absence or as and when required.
- Financial management, oversight and record keeping: including sales and purchase invoicing, receipts, credit control functions, petty cash and reconciliations
- Oversee staff and volunteers
- Organise activities
- Accurate record keeping
- Support individual client plans
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the service

The Centre Coordinator will report to the Service and Business Manager, and will line-manager centre and centre volunteers.

Working pattern: 35 hours a week. For this role, we expect the post holder to work at Gorton Central 4 days a week including Wednesday (shared team workday) and Thursday (Good Food Gorton activities day), with a day working from home (to be negotiated Monday-Friday).

About you and how to apply
As a skilled and compassionate Counselling Support Group Administrator, aligned with our feminist ethos and the needs of our service users, you will provide high-quality administrative support to the delivery of counselling and support group services for women affected by domestic abuse. You will bring experience in service administration within a sensitive or trauma-informed setting, with the ability to manage referrals, coordinate sessions, maintain accurate records, and support counsellors and volunteers through effective scheduling and communication.
You will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of services, including monitoring attendance and outcomes, maintaining safeguarding and confidentiality standards, and ensuring compliance with organisational and funder requirements. You will also contribute to service improvement by supporting reporting, data collection, and administrative processes that enable the ongoing development and effectiveness of counselling and support group provision.
