About the role

At Breast Cancer Now, we’re looking for a creative and proactive media and PR officer to join our ambitious team, as we continue to leverage our being the ‘go-to’ press office for breast cancer and position the charity as ‘determined leaders’ in our field.

This varied and exciting role plays a critical part in helping the charity build its profile through effective and compelling PR and media relations. The post holder will plan, deliver and respond to opportunities across all areas of the charity’s work, from highlighting our world-leading breast cancer research and raising awareness of our public health messaging to promoting our fundraising appeals, brand development, support services and supporting our policy and campaigning work.

The post holder will work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including people with lived experience of breast cancer, our nurses, researchers, and corporate partners, alongside building strong and trusted relationships with national and regional journalists to secure high-quality targeted media coverage. Every day will be an opportunity to make a positive difference for anyone affected by breast cancer.

About you

An excellent communicator, you’ll have a strong working knowledge of the UK’s media landscape and experience of delivering impactful results in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll be innovative, creative and sensitive in your approach to raising the profile of the charity and all its areas of focus, bringing fresh ideas to engage the media and always ensuring patient voice is at the heart of our work.

You’ll be confident in building trusted, influential relationships with journalists and leverage compelling coverage across all national, consumer, regional and tradeprint, broadcast and online media through these. You’ll collaborate with internal colleagues from across the charity to deliver powerful results, and work closely with external partners, researchers, and service providers. You’ll also play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth running of the media and PR team, including through being responsible for the day-to-day liaison with external suppliers (eg media monitoring) and overseeing the collation of information for key reports (including CEO report to Board of Trustees).

About the Independent Living Programme

Centrepoint’s Independent Living Programme (ILP) is delivering 300 genuinely affordable homes across London and Greater Manchester for young people moving on from homelessness. With 50 homes already built and £23m secured, the Independent Living Capital Appeal is raising a further £27m to complete the programme.

The Role

The Independent Living Capital Appeal Manager will play a key role in delivering this ambitious programme. You will be responsible for helping to deliver the £27m appeal target by managing and growing a portfolio of high-value donors and grant-makers, securing five and six figure gifts, and developing a strong pipeline of new prospects.

Working closely with the Head of Independent Living Appeal, you will lead the cultivation and solicitation of high-value supporters while delivering an outstanding donor experience. You will also work closely with development and programme colleagues to align fundraising with live housing developments and future pipeline opportunities.

You will:

• Lead and grow a portfolio of donors and prospects, securing new and repeat five and six figure gifts
• Identify, qualify and cultivate new prospects to strengthen the appeal pipeline
• Develop and deliver tailored cultivation and solicitation strategies
• Write compelling proposals, reports and donor communications
• Deliver excellent stewardship, designing supporter journeys that connect donors to the impact of their support
• Support senior leaders and volunteers in donor cultivation and solicitations
• Collaborate across fundraising and programme teams to maximise opportunities for support
• Line-manage the Independent Living Appeal Officer, supporting their development and contribution to the appeal

The role will require extensive travel throughout the county, visiting networking events and arranging relationships between corporates and our wildlife projects, such as the Rye Harbour Discovery Centre. You will have a creative and innovative approach to the role, working on new ways to secure support from businesses from across the county. You will enjoy getting involved in fundraising events that include that whole fundraising department to create new income streams for the trust.

Purpose of the Job 

A large professional service’s firm’s employees have chosen FareShare as its chosen Charity of the Year for the next three years. The partnership will enable FareShare to redistribute even more good-to-eat surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, helping us to address food insecurity whilst tackling the environment issue of food waste.

This role will support the partner’s 16,000+ employees to help raise £1.5m, by inspiring colleagues up and down the country to get involved in office fundraising, challenge events or volunteer at one of FareShare’s 18 Network Partners.

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of building relationships and ideally have experience of delivering a variety of fundraising activity in either a Corporate Partnerships or Community fundraising role. Duties and Responsibilities 

Implement the delivery of the regional employee fundraising strategy 

• Engage, inspire and support their corporate partner’s employees across the country to raise £1.5m through office based fundraising activity and challenge events.
• Build meaningful and effective relationships with each of the firm’s offices to achieve their fundraising goals.
• Co-ordinate the sign-up process for the partners specific challenge events including promoting opportunities, managing the end-to-end on boarding process and stewardship of participants.

Support the Corporate Partnerships Manager with the delivery of the national fundraising strategy.

• Play a proactive role in delivering the partnership governance including supporting the preparation of internal and external meetings, working collaboratively with all stakeholders and helping to develop annual fundraising plans.
• Support with the co-ordination and delivery of firm wide national fundraising events such as walks and payroll giving appeals.
• Support internal teams with the Marketing and Communications plans for the partnership.

Finance and income reconciliation:

Legal and Compliance: 

• Ensure that the partnership is compliant with Charity Regulation and Fundraising Code of Conduct.

Duties will include but not be limited to: 

Business Development

• Work with the Head of Fundraising to develop strategies which increase Ygam’s visibility in the corporate space.

• Conduct prospective supporter research; establish and grow the partnerships pipeline, and develop pitches to meet shared objectives, working with the Head of Fundraising. 

• Build strong relationships with organisations that share our values.

• Manage the prospect pipeline using Salesforce, segmenting the pipeline into areas of programme interest and tracking applications, expected and actual income and reporting deadlines. 

Relationship Building: 

• Craft engagement plans to deepen existing relationships and maximise fundraising opportunities 

• Provide excellent account management for new and established partners, including regular and meaningful communication.

• Identify and execute creative ways to bring our work to life for funders.

• Effectively communicate Ygam’s vision, mission, and programmes to potential donors. Delivering and shaping engaging and emotive copy for appeal letters, emails, newsletters, and other promotional materials.

• Working closely with the External Affairs team to ensuring effective use of case studies, photography, statistics, and organisational information and that all communications are consistent and in line with Ygam brand guidelines. 

The Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager will play a key role in driving income growth through philanthropy and strategic partnerships across Northern Ireland. Reporting to the Northern Ireland Director, with a dotted line to the UK Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, this role will contribute to the delivery of an ambitious growth strategy. The post-holder will build and steward relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic organisations to ensure alignment with national and regional objectives, and will lead the development of high-quality fundraising, cultivation and stewardship events that deepen engagement, grow income and strengthen long-term supporter relationships. They will also lead and support their direct report, ensuring a collaborative, high-performing fundraising team.

Job Location: Belfast (Hybrid)

Concern UK operates a flexible hybrid working policy, which can be a mix of home and office working. However, due to the nature of this role, the post‑holder may be required to attend the Belfast office more frequently and travel to meet corporate partners, donors, and attend networking or external events.

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Senior Philanthropy Officer to join our Philanthropy team based in London or Manchester.

Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model. The requirement is a minimum of 50% of your working week to be worked in the office. For most full-time colleagues, this means attending the office for five days over a two-week period (e.g., two days one week and three days the next). About the role
Fundraising plays an important role in the sustainability of The Brilliant Club, and this is only set to grow in our next strategy. The new Fundraising Officer will be responsible for building relationships and creating excellent experiences for a portfolio of supporters and prospective supporters, to help us raise over £1.4 million each year.

Supporters will be mainly Trusts & Foundations, but also some corporates and individuals. The role will include meeting with prospects, writing compelling applications for funding, stewarding and renewing existing partnerships and writing engaging funding reports.

The successful candidate will have experience working as part of a fundraising team, or have transferable skills from a similar external-facing role. You will be part of a small energetic and committed team supporting the delivery of Northamptonshire Community Foundation’s philanthropy and income generation ambitions. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will help grow and steward support from individuals, corporate, charitable and statutory donors, with a lead responsibility for a defined portfolio of relationships and initiatives.

Fundraising and relationship building happen across the charity, and you will manage your own portfolio of donors and partners and work with the Chief Executive and wider team to co-ordinate activity, share insight and maximise opportunities for place based philanthropy in Northamptonshire.

You will need confidence, excellent communication skills and the ability to plan and deliver projects as part of a highly collaborative team. You will be comfortable cultivating, stewarding and sometimes soliciting charitable donations yourself, as well as creating opportunities for the Chief Executive to engage with donors and prospective supporters.

We’re looking for a motivated Partnerships and Philanthropy Officer to help grow our high value income and build strong, impactful relationships with partners and donors.

• Location: Hybrid (minimum three days per fortnight in London SE1)

• Salary: £33,368 FTE

• Terms:  35 hours per week (part time considered). Permanent

Role Details 

You’ll work closely with the Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager to support and grow a portfolio of corporate partners, philanthropists and high value prospects. This varied role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing creative proposals, and coordinating meaningful supporter engagement.
You’ll help deliver tailored stewardship, identify new opportunities, and work with colleagues across Bliss to gather compelling stories and impact data that demonstrate the difference our supporters make.
 
What you will do
•Support the delivery of Bliss’ high value fundraising strategy
•Manage and steward relationships with partners, major donors and prospects
•Prepare tailored proposals, presentations and stewardship updates
•Research prospects and sectors to help build a strong pipeline
•Coordinate meetings, events and engagement opportunities
•Work collaboratively across teams to develop strong cases for support
•Maintain accurate CRM records and support internal reporting
•Ensure all activity follows fundraising regulation and GDPR requirements
 

About you
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
•Experience managing external relationships (fundraising, partnerships, account management or commercial)
•Clear, confident and engaging communication skills
•Ability to develop tailored proposals, pitches or presentations
•Strong commercial awareness and a collaborative approach
•Excellent organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
•Experience using CRMs or databases (Raiser’s Edge a plus)
•Good IT skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

As our current CEO steps down after five successful years, we are looking for an outstanding candidate to lead our charity in the next stage of its development.

As Chief Executive Officer you will provide strategic and operational leadership to our well-established community charity, ensuring that our activities and projects continue to meet the changing needs of our local community.

You will work closely with the board of trustees to shape the next stage of our charity’s development. You will lead our staff team and ensure that all the resources and structures are in place that allow them and the charity to flourish. This means successfully securing grant funding, leading our community fundraising efforts, ensuring the charity meets its legal and regulatory obligations, managing the operational finances, and building effective partnerships within the local voluntary, community, and faith sector.

You will be equally comfortable writing a funding bid, supporting a member of staff, navigating a spreadsheet, working directly with beneficiaries, and providing concise and accessible reports to trustees and stakeholders. This is a varied role where no two days are quite the same. Your work will make a real difference to the lives of those we support and this is what makes it so rewarding.
