Why are we looking for you?
LivedHealth CIC is looking for a part time Trusts Fundraiser with a track record of successfully raising funds from trusts and foundations to join our team. Building on LivedHealth’s success of receiving start-up funding from Wellcome Trust, we wish to bring on board an experienced trusts fundraiser to help LivedHealth deliver its ambitious plans for growth.

What is LivedHealth?
LivedHealth is a newly-established digital health startup. We are a free, online video resource that shines light on difficult long-term health challenges. Expert insiders—patients and professionals—tell it like it is.

Founded in September 2020, LivedHealth is a Community Interest Company (CIC); a non-profit social enterprise limited by guarantee. We are a team of four with an aim to change the face of public engagement in health. We believe health information is more effective when it’s powered by lived experience. 

LivedHealth is currently producing video content for and with two health communities: Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s. You will be joining the organisation at a really exciting time as we will be expanding our operations to a further long term health challenge in due course.


Key elements of the role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive and personable Trusts Fundraiser to join our team. The Trusts Fundraiser will have a proven track record of securing gifts from trusts and foundations; experience of researching and identifying new funding opportunities and excellent written and oral communication skills in dealing with internal and external stakeholders. 

Overseeing grant funding applications of around £5-20k, the Trusts Fundraiser will develop a portfolio of donors and work with the team to establish a successful grants programme. The Trusts Fundraiser will be coached and developed by the senior fundraising team to work on £50k+ bids during 2022.

The Trusts Fundraiser will deliver consistently high-quality account management through administration, development, and stewardship of a portfolio of charitable trust and foundations. The Trusts Fundraiser will proactively research potential new charitable trusts and foundations using a variety of resources such as FundsOnline, Grants Online, New Trust List, Charity Excellence etc. 


What you’ll need to bring:

  • A demonstrable track record of securing gifts from trusts and foundations

  • An ability to write and submit a regular stream of applications;

  • Identifying and developing relationships with grant makers that can be matched to our funding priorities;

  • Experience of researching and writing high-quality, well-structured and persuasive communication materials, and delivering convincing verbal presentations;

  • An understanding of funders’ needs, and how to meet these needs through thorough and relevant research, and creating compelling applications for support;

  • Ability to work alongside project teams to draw out required information while they are focused on day-to-day delivery;

  • Stay appropriately networked and keep abreast of trends, news, events and deadlines across the sector, including regular engagement with Institute of Fundraising Special Interest Groups and events

  • Proactive work ethic and self-motivating;

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines;

  • Ability to work on a variety of tasks at any one time;

  • Ability to develop your own work plan and manage your time effectively.
