We are currently recruiting for a a Psychological Wellbeing Services Manager who will be responsible for the day to day management of the Psychological Wellbeing Services we provide for children, young people and adults with mental health needs in Mid and North East Essex.

Together with the Service Operations Manager, you will ensure the Psychological Wellbeing Services are compliant with the principles, service aims and service objectives contained within the contracts.

Within the role you will also support the Chief Executive, Marketing and Fundraising Manager, Service Operations Manager and Clinical Lead in promoting the Psychological Wellbeing Services.

We are seeking experienced Support Workers to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary arena based in Clacton and Colchester.

The Café / Sanctuary accepts referrals from the Emergency Services and is accessible to those living within the Tendring and North East Essex areas who are experiencing a Mental Health Crisis. The aim of the Crisis Cafe is to help reduce the number of admissions to A&E for those who have no physical/medical need.

The role will involve working in partnership to ensure that vulnerable people have a safe environment in which to manage their crisis and provide back-up services, where necessary. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new Service in an area of great need and to contribute to improved out of hours’ provision.

We have roles available in two of our cafes, details below:

Colchester - The cafe is open 7 days a week including bank holidays and you would be working 7 hour shifts working 5pm - 12 midnight on a 4 on, 4 off shift rota.  The pro rata starting salary for this location is £12,253.

Clacton - The cafe is open 7 days week excluding bank holidays and you would be working 7.5 hour shifts working 4.45pm - 12.15am on a 4 on, 4 off shift rota.  The pro rata starting salary for this location is £13,128.

We are seeking a proactive, dynamic and skilled staff member (Registered Mental Health Nurse or Social Worker) to be appointed as a Care Co-ordinator to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary Sanctuary setting (Crisis Café).  Working within the Sanctuary we will help you develop leadership skills, autonomous decision making, and dynamic risk assessment skills.

Braintree - Fixed term contract until 31.03.2022.  The cafe is open 7 days week including bank holidays and you would be working 7 hour shifts working 6pm - 1.00am on a 4 on, 4 off shift rota.  The pro rata starting salary for this location is £21,398 pa (includes an unsocial hours shift allowance).

The Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation runs from Springfield Basin (Chelmsford) to Heybridge Basin (near Maldon), 14.5 miles to the east.The Navigation runs through some of the most picturesque countryside of central Essex and it is Essex Waterways Ltd’s responsibility to maintain and enhance this for public benefit.

The General Manager is head of the paid staff on the waterway, and is responsible for the day-to-day running of all aspects of the Navigation. Although a subsidiary of The Inland Waterways Association, Essex Waterways Ltd is a small organisation with large responsibilities; resources are scarce and the organisation is reliant upon the goodwill and generosity of a wide range of volunteers and support of the wider community. The post of General Manager is a substantial commitment and responsibility. It should be considered more a way of life than just a job. The post-holder will be a pillar of the local community, available and able to deal with emergencies at all times. Weekend, bank holiday and evening work is likely to be essential, for which time-in-lieu will be allowed. The post-holder will require initiative, resourcefulness and life-experience, will be efficient and IT literate and should not be afraid to get their hands dirty with practical work.

The Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation is widely recognised as being well-run and is looked upon as a good example of engaging the community in running a successful waterway and raising standards where others before have tried and not been successful. The position of General Manager is key to the successful continuance of the Navigation, and is a demanding position requiring full attention.

Salary £50,000 + 8% pension contribution + 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) + relocation expenses + flexible working
