About the role:
As a Maintenance Contracts Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring our contracted suppliers provide high quality, reliable services to our supported housing schemes, to ensure clients have safe, good quality accommodation they can call home.
In your role, you will lead on tender and procurement processes to secure contracts with suppliers that deliver reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality services. You will be responsible for ensuring all contracted suppliers hold relevant qualifications, health and safety and, insurance requirements at the point of tender and throughout the contract period.
You will work with the wider maintenance team to respond to queries from our supported housing colleagues related to contracted services.

- You’ll bring experience of contract administration and monitoring the performance of contracted suppliers, with the ability to implement and manage supplier performance improvement plans.

As the Community Shop and Online Manager for our flagship store in Mere Green you will lead a team of paid staff and volunteers. We are an ambitious, dynamic and impactful charity. Following their sons’ diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), Emily Reuben and Alex Johnson founded Duchenne UK in 2012.
DMD is a devastating progressive condition diagnosed in early childhood which causes all the muscles in the body to gradually weaken. There are currently only very limited treatment options for DMD, so Emily and Alex set up Duchenne UK to change this.

Job Description:
Duties to include, but not limited to:
- High volume diary management, including work and personal diary prioritisation and filtering out non-essential meetings.
- Answering, screening and responding as appropriate to incoming calls, visitors and correspondence.
- Preparing for internal and external meetings, calls and video conferences including confirming relevant materials are received, printed and bound for meetings.
- Management of travel arrangements. Scheduling and tracking domestic and international travel itineraries within several time zones.
- Administration support for the research team, including arranging meetings and assisting with event and meeting organisation.
- Management of expenses including arranging currency and processing expense claims in a timely manner.
- General office management and operational support including:
- Liaising with suppliers / brokers (e.g. internet, energy, insurance)
- Relationship management with office landlord
- Overseeing office supplies and equipment
- Internal event organisation (e.g. staff away day, wellness day, staff meetings), including budget management, venue booking, overseeing delivery on site.

As an Assistant Community Shop Manager (ACSM) for St Giles Hospice you will support in leading a team of volunteers. Karibuni Children, a UK registered charity, works to help Kenyan children from some of the poorest backgrounds, to fulfil their potential and release themselves from the cycle of poverty. At any one time, we are supporting around 700 children across Kenya and our aim is to walk with the children through their whole education. In addition to providing financial support to enable children to attend high-quality educational institutes, we work to reduce other barriers that may prevent those living below the poverty line from maximising their educational potential. Job Description
Salary: up to £30,000 – 34,000 full time equivalent depending on experience.

Role purpose:

Key work areas and tasks:

Administration & Operations

Fundraising
● Ensure postings to CRM are accurate and reconcile to financial systems

● Organise and manage Karibuni’s own-organised fundraising events, marketing events on internal and external platforms, registering participants, overseeing risk assessments, and maintaining related records.

Marketing & Communications
● Make updates to the charity website and social media channels
