Stewardship is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Relationship Manager to guide high-capacity donors in their philanthropic journey.  Providing exceptional client service and offering expert philanthropic advice you'll help to drive the growth of our award-winning Philanthropy Fund.  

This is a varied role which would suit someone with experience guiding high-capacity donors in their grant-making, and a passion for encouraging generosity. A little bit about the role

The Recruitment team is responsible for sourcing, selecting and hiring for 500 places for Approach Social Work (previously known as the Frontline programme) in local authorities across England.

You will be joining us at our busiest time, and will have day to day logistical and administration responsibilities with focus on supporting applicants through the selection stages of our programme, Approach Social Work.

You will work with the Selection team and share responsibilities between other Selection Coordinators to ensure the delivery of a highly effective and efficient recruitment process and to ensure the candidate experience is positive throughout. We are looking for an enthusiastic Service Desk Manager to lead our Global Service Desk Team until September 2026, covering a period of extended leave.

The ideal candidate will be confident in collaborating with users at all levels and be committed to quality and continuous improvement. We are looking for a team player who can continue to deliver energy, pace and structure to our IT service offering.

This role is a great opportunity for a high-performing team leader or supervisor who is keen to obtain some service desk management experience.

Criteria

Reporting to the Head of Technology, you’ll be someone with:

• ITIL v4 Foundation, plus demonstrable experience of service management in an ITIL-based service management system
• Strong team management skills
• Strong communication skills, with ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams to embed best-practice
• Broad experience of ITIL-aligned service management platforms
• A strong continuous improvement ethic

In this role, you will be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, as well as caring for the welfare of those under our care.

This includes everyday tasks such as cleaning, carrying out minor repairs, overseeing security measures, and aiding and supporting to our residents or occupants.

Our ideal candidate is reliable, empathic and has a genuine passion for helping others.

They should have excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail

Main Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections of the premises to identify and fix maintenance issues, such as leaks or breakages
• Keep an itinerary of tools and jobs
• Manage supply inventory and reorder supplies as needed
• Carry out cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping and dusting, to ensure the premises are kept clean and tidy
• Conduct minor repair work, including fixing broken locks, replacing light bulbs and carrying out basic plumbing work
• Monitor the property’s security systems and respond to alarms or potential threats
• Manage waste disposal and recycling activities
• Maintain outdoor areas, such as gardens and parking lots, including pruning shrubs and removing snow or debris
• Coordinate with professional repair services and contractors when required
• Ensure compliance with heath and safety regulations – Fire drills, Gas checks etc
• Assist in arranging events and hires at the premises
• Respond to emergency situations promptly

Salary: £24570.00 per annum plus £5023.71 London weighting

About you

You will need to be an active team player and be able to demonstrate how you’ve managed and motivated a team previously beyond expectations and experience of providing excellent customer service in a face-to-face role.

Have a good knowledge of recruiting and developing a diverse team and how you have supported and motivated teams to progress and how you would bring these skills into this position.

You will need to have good communication skills to engage with the local community to seek out new opportunities to increase the shops contribution to help further Shelter’s cause. You will develop your own and your teams’ interests in merchandising the shop attracting customers and continually develop yours and your team’s knowledge of Shelter, who we are and what we do.
