FP&A Manager | London - Hybrid | £70,000 + Benefits

For an international NGO based in London, we are recruiting a permanent FP&A Manager. Reporting to the Global Head of Finance, this role will oversee all business and commercial reporting, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting and KPIs, as well as the financial reporting, balance sheet, cash and reserves reporting and reconciliations. The role will have a lead input in the year-end close and preparation of the Annual Report and Audit process and will lead the finance business partnering team of two.

Main Duties:

• Lead month-end close and production of month-end business, commercial and MI reporting
• Deliver insightful reporting into the business and commercial performance by partnering key stakeholders and supporting the leadership decision-making
• Lead the Business Planning and annual budgeting processes, preparing packs and presentations for the Executive Committee, Board Finance Committee and Council
• Lead the forecasting process, ensuring their integrity
• Support the development of finance reporting using Power BI, to embed KPIs measuring finance performance
• Prepare presentations for the Exco and Council meetings around business planning, budgeting and forecasting packs
• Provide effective and robust challenge to ensure operational, commercial and financial targets are achieved
• Prepare the consolidated cashflow, balance sheet and reserves (including restricted funding)
• Oversee ledger integrity via monthly and year-end reporting processes and the reconciliation of reporting and balance sheet accounts
• Oversee the statutory reporting including charity VAT and Gift Aid
• Support the annual statutory accounts for the main charity and trading subsidiary and the annual audit through to sign-off of Annual Report and Financial Statements
• Lead, develop and mentor the business partnering team of two.

The Organisation

The Role

As one of our Project Managers in the Event Development team, you will play a vital role in project visioning, developing and tendering for a wide range of annual contracted events throughout The Royal Parks.

About You

To be considered as one of our Project Managers within Event Development, you will need:

• Excellent experience working as a project manager within outdoor events or public parks
• Good knowledge and experience in tendering for event providers and contract administration within the events industry
• Excellent communication, presentation, proofreading and report-writing skills
• Good organisation skills
• The ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships
• The ability to analyse information, make informed judgements, appraise performance, and manage risks
• A PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent Microsoft Project and/or Project Management experience would be beneficial to your application. A degree level education in event management or equivalent experience would be desirable.

An understanding of the public procurement exercises (The Procurement Act 2023) would be desirable.

Reports to: Head of Programmes

Part Time (0.6) - £27,675 FTE 

As the Alumni Officer, you will be someone who enjoys working with young people and is passionate about supporting them to progress to vibrant degrees and careers in STEM. The post holder will have strong knowledge and understanding of the barriers facing young people from low socioeconomic backgrounds accessing STEM education and careers across the UK.

The Alumni Officer will deliver the continuation of support for hundreds young people who complete the In2STEM programme every year, supporting them with continued support throughout year 13/S6 as they progress to post FE education, apprenticeships and training, and providing long term careers opportunities.

The post holder will be an organised and motivated self-starter who thrives in the face of change, enjoys creative problem solving, working in a team and can achieve deadlines on a tight timescale.

In2scienceUK is a remote-based organisation, that requires occasional travel across the UK for events, internal & external meetings and staff co-working days.

Your specific duties will include:

• Evaluate existing alumni activities to recommend and implement improvements and new initiatives to support the delivery of a high quality programme experience to support In2STEM alumni, aligning with learning objectives, feedback and our theory of change.

• Develop and deliver engaging alumni communications e.g. newsletters & email updates, to keep In2STEM alumni informed of news, opportunities and events.

• Plan, organise and support the delivery of online workshops aligned to support In2STEM alumni progression milestones. 

• Maintaining up to date alumni records, in accordance with data protection, as well as working closely with the Data, Impact and Evaluation Manager to evaluate In2STEM participant progression.

About the job role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Support Administrator in our First Contact Team at St Joseph’s Hospice. We are looking for someone who has experience in administration and working in a healthcare environment.

The First Contact Team is a dynamic one-stop service that transforms the way patients and referral agencies access the Hospice’s services. An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Administrator to join the First Contact Team. If you are a successful applicant, you will be part of the team that acts as the first point of contact for the Hospice’s services. You will answer telephone calls from people who may be in difficult and stressful situations, provide advice and signpost to other services or agencies. You will also undertake associated administration and data entry.

The service operates 24 hours over seven days a week for advice, whilst referrals will be taken mainly in daytime hours. You will work 37.5 hours every week. Shift patterns will vary, and you will be expected to cover shifts from Monday through Friday, 8.00 am to 9.00 pm, plus occasional weekends according to the rota.

As a Freelance Finance Administrator, you will:

• Manage the finance inbox: log invoices, respond to queries, check receipts, liaise with staff, and enter invoices into Xero accounting software.
• Administer credit card and prepaid card transactions.
• Update fundraising income logs from payment portals.
• Work closely with the Finance Co-ordinator on regular finance processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with NYO’s data protection and safeguarding policies.

About the role:

The Social Mobility and Widening Participation Senior Officer is a vital member of the department. The post-holder will lead on the development, delivery and evaluation of sustained outreach initiatives. They will also be involved in a range of other challenging projects run across the Social Mobility and Widening Participation Department.  

The postholder will primarily work with pre-16 pupils and this will involve working collaboratively with and building strategic relationships with our partner schools and teachers.

The post holder will work closely with the wider team, student ambassadors and key partner staff.

ISEAL is looking for a Finance Manager to manage the day-to-day finance function in a sustainability focused international not-for-profit organisation.

The Finance Manager, Financial Accounting is a hands-on role, leading a mostly remote team of 3 part-time staff, who collectively process all ISEAL’s transactions. They report to and work closely with the Finance & Operations Director, playing an important role to ensure that ISEAL’s finance system operates effectively.

The successful candidate will bring the technical know-how of a qualified accountant, the ability to support colleagues, an eye for detail and be happy managing a varied workload, both for themselves and the team.

ISEAL has recently implemented Sage Intacct accounting software and an initial priority for the role will be to support the team to improve their facility with and exploitation of the new system as well as supporting the roll-out of new functionality across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

Team management

• Oversee a team of 3 (2 direct reports) who process ISEAL’s day to day transactions, incl. purchase ledger, sales ledger and staff expenses /credit cards and payroll accounting
• Coordinate work planning, payment runs and monthly/quarterly accounting processes
• Work with the Finance Director to hold effective monthly Face to face team meetings.
• At times, provide back up and support to the different roles in the team
• Line manage, support and provide development and growth opportunities to direct reports

Financial accounting

• Responsible for and oversee the capture of all day-to-day transactions in ISEAL’s accounting records
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on monthly/quarterly basis
• Oversee the payroll accounting, including 4 overseas payrolls
• Review VAT treatment of transactions and prepare VAT returns for review and submit it to HMRC
• Oversee timesheet processes and the calculation/allocation of staff costs into accounting system
• Consolidate ISEAL’s accounts and forecasts into management accounting-packs
• Support on preparation of the statutory accounts

Wider responsibilities

• Support the evolution of financial accounting procedures that are robust, effective and efficient, incl. acting as an administrator on Sage Intacct accounting software
• Engagement with the wider organisation on questions of accounting processes
• Experience, knowledge and attributes
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or equivalent level experience
• Solid professional work experience in overseeing a finance function, ideally in an international setting using multiple currencies
• Competent in the use and exploitation of accounting systems
• Proficiency with Excel and ability to analyse, manipulate and present data to non-finance colleagues
• High level of accuracy in own work and ability to check work done by others
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with ability to establish priorities for self and others
