About the role
You will lead on the delivery of a portfolio of virtual and DIY fundraising events, including our Facebook Challenges and growing Swim It campaign, with the objective of raising over £6m for people living with cancer. You will be responsible for recruitment through paid and organic marketing and providing a sector-leading stewardship journey to ensure our supporters feel engaged and inspired from the moment they sign-up, working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve this.
This role does require weekend work (although not at your desk) as you’ll be out and about cheering on our participants. You will be compensated for your weekend work with days in lieu.
Please note, the internal job title for this role is Challenge Events Programme Manager.
About you:
- Experience of delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns or management of complex projects, in line with agreed budgets and schedules
- Demonstrable experience of delivering mass-scale stewardship campaigns
- Experience of using data or insight to understand performance, make decisions and inform plans
- A proactive approach to resolving project blockers, conflict or underperformance
- An ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and external partners, which enable productive collaboration on projects
- Familiarity with leading individuals or groups to deliver a project, campaign or collective goal.

About hybrid working in this role
We have three offices; our Head Office in London and two workspaces based in Shipley and Glasgow. There are no fixed weekly office days for this role, and we support flexible, hybrid working arrangements. In terms of requirements for in-person attendance, the postholder will be expected to attend Challenge Events Away Days (quarterly), Virtual & DIY team meetings (quarterly) and reviews or planning meetings with key suppliers (these will be infrequent and arranged with as much notice as possible).

Westway Trust are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children Services Manager with a track record of managing a Good or Outstanding Oftsed rated Early Years’ service, who will be committed to supporting and enhancing the lives of children in the North Kensington community.
This role is key to positioning the Trust as a provider of affordable, vital and culturally appropriate services. Reporting to the Senior Manager Learning, you will lead and manage on all aspects of the Trust’s nursery and crèche services, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements are met. - Manage the staff team to deliver the Nursery and Crèche services.

- Quality assure and develop and improve services to maintain and improve our Ofsted position.

- Keep appropriate records of all children and account for their social and individual developmental needs.
- Monitor and report against the delivery objectives of the service providing observation and feedback to Nursery and Crèche workers so that they can improve their own direct planning and delivery and qualifications.
- Provide data as required for reporting internally to your line manager and through the Trusts Governance, and externally.
Qualification:
- Relevant qualification in childcare at a minimum Level 4.
- Safeguarding (desirable)
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of managing a Nursery with experience of all the relevant duties, monitoring, reporting and quality improvement.
- Experience of being the main contact for Ofsted.
- A track record of working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to develop successful partnerships, growth, and achieve joint success.
- Strong experience of planning ahead, scheduling, attention to detail and problem solving.
- Experience of managing staff and supporting their development.
- Experience of managing resources and budgets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience of writing reports.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding.

ROLE OVERVIEW
You will be an exceptional Policy and Public Affairs Manager who will lead your team to achieve the goals detailed in the RLSS UK Strategic Framework 2025-2030. This is a strategic, hands-on role suited to someone with a deep commitment to our water safety and drowning prevention priorities together with significant experience of achieving outcomes and impact.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement and deliver the RLSS Policy and Public Affairs Strategy
- Influence UK and Ireland ministers and government officials by engaging them directly to raise awareness of RLSS UK’s vision, mission and purpose and seeking their support in achieving our goals
- Work collaboratively to influence specific legislation, including campaigning around bills, writing amendments, and working with MPs and Peers to promote them within the legislative process.
- Lead the management of the APPG
- Manage stakeholder engagement strategies and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
- Stakeholder engagement (Parliament): Build and maintain relationships with key policy makers and parliamentarians through face-to-face meetings, providing briefings to MPs and Lords for Parliamentary debates, preparing written/oral questions, and attending Select Committees, APPGs, Parliamentary receptions and other relevant roundtables and events.
- Attendance and representation at meetings which support RLSS UK’s policy and public affairs priorities

- Work with RLSS UK members, people directly impacted by the drowning and other key stakeholders to harness and amplify their expertise and insights.
- Where needed, lead the co-ordination and establishment of member expert groups to inform our policy work.
- Develop opportunities for joint working with researchers / research organisations and manage that partnership work, including the development and co-ordinating the RLSS UK research symposium.
- Work with the RLSS UK team to recommend and secure relevant speakers and presenters for RLSS UK meetings and events.
- Contribute to the general administration and delivery of RLSS UK programmes, events and overall objectives.
- Work with the Director of Income Generation and Engagement to support the development of potential fundraising bids and reporting progress to funders.

Role Overview
The Trusts and Foundations Manager will play a central role in driving sustainable income for Bright Futures UK by securing funding from charitable trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies. This role will focus on developing high-quality funding applications, managing relationships with key funders, and ensuring timely reporting and stewardship.

Our work across Newcastle
Volunteering Matters play a vital role supporting volunteering in Newcastle. Since 2005, we have been operating Volunteer Centre Newcastle (VCN). This service provides a wide range of support around all things volunteering to 1250+ charities, organisations, and groups locally. Each year, we also support 2500+ members of the public who are interested in volunteering and need support to get started. We also lead the Home from Hospital and Community Support project where volunteers support older people with their transition home following a hospital admission.
In early 2025, we launched the Good Neighbours Newcastle project funded by Newcastle City Council. We deliver this project alongside our delivery partner organisation, Search Newcastle, with a second partner organisation scheduled to join in early 2026.
Good Neighbours project
We would all like to live in a place that has a sense of community, where people look out for their neighbours. The Good Neighbours project aims to foster a feeling of positive wellbeing and independence for those who may be socially isolated, or who don’t have many people around them, giving that “little bit of help”.
The project helps people in the community feel safe, supported, and more able to live an independent life, whilst preventing, reducing and delaying the need for formal support through Adult Social Care. It also provides people the opportunity to volunteer a little time, in a flexible way, to make a difference in their own community. We know volunteering can lead to enhanced skills, and positive wellbeing. Volunteers provide practical or social support, completing “one-off’ or short-term tasks, supporting a neighbour. This includes tasks like collecting essentials, driving someone to a GP appointment, helping with odd jobs around the house, light gardening, or checking in with someone for a cuppa and chat.
Role Purpose
We are looking for a talented, dynamic, and professional Project Manager to join our team in Newcastle. The right candidate would be someone with excellent knowledge of “best practice” in Volunteer Management and with experience of establishing new and exciting volunteering programmes.
This is a senior role within our Newcastle team so it is essential that the postholder is agile, can work flexibly, is an excellent communicator, and can build strong working relationships with a range of people.
