As an Employment Coach with our Employcare Project you will be supporting unpaid carers living in Manchester; providing support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid employment or voluntary roles. The successful candidates will manage a small caseload of carers and provide them with 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers to employment and training. You will be responsible for supporting them through every stage of their journey, enabling participants to address their barriers and realise their aspirations.
This role is subject to a Basic DBS check.

We’re a small charity that brings communities together to create cleaner, connected and safer urban and rural neighbourhoods by tackling the litter problems where they live. The Volunteering Team is a collaborative and supportive team sitting within Shelter’s Equity, Inclusion & Culture Directorate. We are passionate about the positive impacts of volunteering for both individuals and causes and believe volunteers are a vital part of Shelter’s Fight for Home.

About the Role
As a Volunteering Administrator, you will be essential to the coordination of the Volunteering Team’s work in developing a consistent, inclusive and high-quality volunteering offer. You’ll be delivering administrative support across the team, enabling smooth delivery of the service. This will include managing our busy Mailboxes, processing elements of volunteer recruitment and administrating our volunteer database, Better Impact. Working on the database forms a large part of this role; as well as routine tasks such as data reporting, you’ll be working on more in-depth database development. This includes leading on a piece of work restructuring the way our database is set up.
You’ll also be supporting volunteer managers through delivering training demonstrations on our database, creating process guides and providing advice. Help Counselling is a small Mental Health charity providing one-to-one counselling, both in person and online to adults over 18. We are also a well-established clinical training placement provider for trainee counsellors and psychotherapists studying with prestigious training organisations in London.
About Help
Help Counselling is well-established Mental Health Charity with a heritage of over 50 years. We provide training placements for clinical supervisors, counsellors and psychotherapists who need to gain clinical experience to qualify (or further qualify) and be registered with one of the industry professional bodies such as, BACP or UKCP. For ethical reasons, the work trainee counsellors / psychotherapists do is unpaid, i.e., they must volunteer their time.
This volunteer model enables Help to fulfil its charitable aim of providing low-cost counselling services. It can take between 3-5 years to qualify, and our training placements are for minimum of 12 months meaning we can also provide clients with long-term help. Having consistence and continuity plays a pivotal role in building a safe, therapeutic, and trusting alliance between the counsellor and client.
The blend of low-cost and long-term talking therapy is much needed in a time of increasing demand for mental health support and increasing complexity of presenting issues.

The purpose of this role is to manage the daily administrative operations and a small administration team of 2 people. Supporting the Direct Marketing Manager, you'll play a key role in generating voluntary income across various channels with a particular focus on regular giving, improving our current products and growing our digital offering to enable us to meet our ambitious targets. Products include Value Exchange and our Lottery, alongside two exciting new products we are looking to introduce this year. You’ll also be responsible for the development, implementation, day to day management, evaluation, and delivery of our acquisition portfolio.
You will either be able to work in a hybrid way working between home and 2 days per week at our London office or remotely working from home with a requirement to attend our London office for a team anchor day once a month.

About You:
You will have experience of running effective national and regional campaigns using a variety of fundraising channels including digital, email, social media, direct mail, and telemarketing. With your good organisational and time management skills you’ll be able to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities under pressure.
You will have knowledge of google analytics as well as an understanding of fundraising regulator guidance, gambling commission compliance and GDPR.
About The Role
- Manage the delivery of acquisition campaigns from concept through to evaluation, using data and insight to drive creative and production, drawing up schedules, and managing the approval processes.
- Work alongside the Content team to research and develop acquisition products, journeys and communications, gathering information, case studies and photos for use in all direct marketing campaigns.
- Manage relationships with external agencies including media houses, designers and printers; to negotiate costs and monitor performance
- Working collaboratively with a number of internal teams to ensure effective use of supporter profiling for delivery across a range of annual acquisition campaigns.
