You will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy, Senior Philanthropy Manager and the wider team to support the cultivation and stewardship of individual donors who fund a variety of activity at Serpentine – from exhibitions and our summer Pavilion programme, to live events and our Ecologies, Arts Technologies and Civic Engagement projects. You will identify and research potential major donors, developing a strong fundraising pipeline that will ensure the Philanthropy team can reach their annual targets.

You will provide full administrative support to the Head of Philanthropy and Senior Philanthropy Manager to maximise the Serpentine’s income from our international group of major donors, ensuring processes are followed correctly and all administration is efficient, accurate and delivered to deadline.

Using your strong prospect research, analytic and communication skills, you will thrive on your ability to deepen and widen our donor base through identifying new potential supporters, as well as mapping donor networks and creatively assessing opportunities for closer engagement with existing donors. You will have a strong attention to detail and be adept at extracting and communicating summary information to internal and external audiences. You will also have an adaptable and innovative approach to work, solving problems and working both collaboratively and independently as required.

However, if you do not hold these qualifications you will need to undergo a chair-based exercise qualification and blood pressure training. Applicants need to be willing to undergo this training. They also need to have the confidence and enthusiasm to deliver exercise to groups of older people whilst motivating participants that may have a variety of physical and cognitive challenges. These attributes will be assessed through a task during the interview process.

Job description

Programme delivery:

• Support the Programmes Team to deliver our programmes, including Pride Groups, School Talks and School Diversity Week

Fundraising

• Support the setting of the charity’s fundraising targets through the research and review of both external and internal fundraising activities.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of the charity’s fundraising activities and campaigns.
• Collate the agreed metrics (including income and expenditure) and report on a weekly basis.
• Participate fully in the generation of fundraising ideas and activity selection.
• Design, prepare and implement the agreed activities and campaigns, which are likely to be varied in nature and might include dedicated fundraising events, grant applications to support families in disadvantaged socio-economic groups, and legacy generation.

As the Big Local programme enters its final stage, PSBL are seeking a driven and passionate community development officer to join our team and help realise the vision of the Plaistow South Big Local partnership and establish its legacy.

You will usually be based at our new office at Memorial Community Church, Barking Road, E13. You will work alongside the team, providing support across a diverse range of projects. There won’t be many typical days, but your role will include delivering community events and outreach to help residents find their voice, take ownership and reach their potential, alongside general administration task and content creation for our social media platforms and promotional materials.  

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual with experience of working with communities in either a paid or voluntary capacity. The Senior Officer – Network, Partnerships and Programmes plays a critical role as the initial contact point for CSC’s global network of 200+ NGOs and delivery lead for our practice-based partnership programmes and Street Work training, working closely with a small but dynamic team in pursuit of CSC’s vision and goals.

The postholder will contribute towards CSC’s strategic goal to transform street-connected children's experience of the street, now, so that they are safer, with better access to services and a sense of belonging in their communities, by:

• Working with network partners to develop, evidence and model innovative & integrated rights-based approaches to supporting street-connected children and securing their rights
• Promoting and supporting skilled street work as the first, critical step in a rights-based approach to supporting street-connected children

Role Summary

Specific Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Programme delivery

• Support the further development and delivery of CSC’s Street Work training offer, working closely with the Director of Programmes for Network, Practice and Children’s Participation, including supporting proactive efforts to secure training contracts/funding and nurturing CSC’s Global Trainer group.

3. Network development

• With the support of the staff team and Directors of Programmes, develop and implement CSC’s network approach to achieve CSC’s strategic goals
• Identify areas for collaboration with and between network members and facilitate shared learning, including via network-wide events, thematic working groups and geographic clusters within the wider network
• Be the first point of contact for reactive enquiries relating to the network and membership

IT Officer - part time 3 days a week role - National

This is a newly created role, fully remote where you are required to come to London once a month. The role offers a salary between £32,000 - £34,000 per annum + Regional Weighting, which will be pro-ratad for three days a week.

 Purpose of the job:

 This newly created HR Officer position will support the Head of HR in a busy HR function potential for a busy charity. The role will concentrate on the operational and administrative aspects of HR and will also act as a first line support to staff but will also provide administrative support to the Operations Manager.  There will also be an opportunity for the HR Officer to get involved in project and research work.

This a part-time role of three days which can be worked in number of ways with either three full days or with less hours across four days, but you will be required to work at least two days in the office. 

 Main duties and responsibilities:

· Be the first point of contact for general HR queries

· Oversee the HR and recruitment inbox

· Drafting contracts and offer letters

· Produce and place job adverts

· Coordinate and arrange interviews and book meeting rooms

· Manage onboarding documentation for new joiners

· Manage both incoming and outgoing reference requests

· Manage the DBS checks and Safeguarding training systems

· Conduct right to work checks prior to employment

· Work with the Head of HR to ensure HR policies are updated when required

· Updating the Thames21 Org Chart

· Communicate any employment law updates

· Carry out research and other projects as required by the Head of HR

· Manage and maintain the HRIS (Breathe HR)

· Manage and maintain HR files on SharePoint

· Research, source and book training for staff as and when required

· Support the Operations Manager with any Health & Safety administrative tasks as required

As the Database and Stewardship Officer, you will manage supporter journeys and cultivate relationships to provide exceptional supporter experiences. You will be responsible for handling data imports effectively, speaking with event participants to provide ongoing support, creating event packs and ensuring all donors are thanked within the scheduled time. As well as supporting the Fundraising and Communications team with implementing new fundraising activities, you will make sure all supporter and membership records are updated and maintain excellent membership and donor relationships. From supporter journeys to event support and fundraising strategy development, this role offers a great opportunity to grow and progress.

To be an excellent Database and Stewardship Officer, you will need:
